Finding and losing mom in a large building in Borneo
Occurring on March 3, 2009, this long-lasting dream is a favorite and quite unique. The story is the best recalled, at 88% in tact, though the scenery is 70% in tact. I didn't use my mind game to enhance the story.
This long-lasting, well-recalled dream, spanning 50 minutes, has 7 parts. I'm on a trip with mom to a place called Borneo, a large city. I recall a beach scene sometime near the beginning with yellow-white sand and a few palm trees in front. This hinted to a tropical location. I don't recall what happened though, but I do recall this scene.
In part 2, there was a story read as we had lunch. There were tables that were 8 to 10 feet long (length uncertain) with padded, metallic chairs in front of each. Roughly 80 were seated in this area. I recall French fries (about 60), and 2 or 3 other things of food being served on a yellowish-tan tray. From known feelings, this was a vacation, supposedly one that I or mom won. We were invited to listen to a drama they had. Though I didn't have much interest in the drama, I recall going in another room to explore. The whole area was a bit dimly lit, with 50 lux brightness. The floor used foot-sized white tiles and the walls were of some unknown, medium-dark color (brightness of 80), probably a green or a blue. The room I went into had a dark brown, fancy-looking desk. The drama was short, just 10 minutes.
I return see that everyone was leaving. I couldn't find my stuff so I went around looking for it, mainly papers. I don't think I ate anything. I looked all over. The staff helped me out, of which were very friendly. Another 5 minutes later, I found the stuff (I don't recall where) and mom had already left.
I met up with mom elsewhere in the huge 3-story building that had fair lighting (about 50 lux). I don't recall part 4 that well. I do recall brown carpets and a light-gray ceiling 8 1/2 to 9 feet high. The walls are a medium-gray color. The hallways were about 20 feet wide. The place was also huge, approaching the size scale of the Mall of America. Behind me, in a recalled scene, were two large doors that were 4 feet wide and went almost all the way up to the ceiling, coming 3 inches short. They were thick, heavy, wooden doors. The building, however, doesn't have shops. I do recall following mom around upon finding her.
Part 5 is near the end and is where I best recall this dream. I recall mom asking about my weight, thinking I was thin and light for my height. I recall responding that 140 was normal for the upper end. I searched around for a scale. A minute in, I found 5 to 8 large, black puzzle blocks about 6 inches across, and always square shaped. There was also a ramp rising about 10 feet high spanning 40 feet horizontally (a 14° slope) that I went up and down. I also "watched" my "background" "bump" as I went up it, though not down. 4 minutes into the search, I never found a scale.
About a minute before this, I found a quarter lying on the floor next to 3 girls that seemed to be 15-year-old students. I did a running dive to grab it, like football players diving after a fumbled ball. That is, I approached it at high speed (about 12 mph) then flung myself level with the ground (like the gliding ability position, only without the ability being used). As I was about to land, I snatched it then rolled to a stop unharmed. I got up. The 3 girls were amazed on my stunt and I asked if this quarter was theirs. They told me to keep it.
I also recall, near the end of the search, that I saw a sign indicating that two rooms, surprisingly open bathrooms (you could almost easily see inside as there were almost no walls and no doors), were moving into a single room. I almost went into the girl's bathroom without realizing it. I was about 5 feet inside where I saw a girl using the toilet inside. Upon seeing that, I quickly ran back out. I found the men's one but, upon searching, didn't find the scale. Right after, I found mom. She led me back to the girl's room but I didn't enter. I waited for mom. I read the sign more closely, but don't recall what, exactly, it said. It was fairly short, in red text of font size 48, and was about 16x10 inches in size. The background was white. There were probably about 70 words on the sign since about 80% of the usable space was covered. The font was sans-serif, like Arial or Tahoma (the latter is more likely but I'm uncertain). Mom, oddly, didn't return.
I searched for her, now part 6. I couldn't find her inside so I went outside. There was a lot of snow around the huge parking lot, a large contrast from that of the first recalled scene. It wasn't very cold out, about 50 to 60°F. I went around the entire building looking for mom's van. I couldn't find it after a full circuit around the large building. I recall an event where I told a staff member that I may jump on the roof to get a better view. The staff didn't like that idea, hinting that it seemed impossible to get back down, but I told them that higher heights means better views. I was one floor high. Large snow piles were packed against the building reaching about 7 feet deep. I thought jumping into one as a cushion since I didn't see any other way down. So, I did. It worked very well. I couldn't see what was ahread now, so I made myself perpendicular with the building and just walked straight through the snow. I pushed through in only 3 seconds.
I then recall running around checking everything while searching for mom or dad. I found a few, about 3 or 4, with the black-and-gray "Dakota Cruisers" jacket, but that was it. I didn't see mom, dad, or their vehicles. Wanting to speed things up, I began gliding around, hovering about 20 to 30 feet above the cars, keeping about 30 mph. 3 minutes into this got me nowhere so I tried float-running. 200 mph was way too fast so I returned to the gliding method. The dream ended 40 seconds later without success.
