A story book.

Walking with a friend and sister around the Yucatan Peninsula area

Occurring on Nov 8, 2008, this dream is fun and well liked. The story is the best recalled, at 85% in tact. I didn't use my mind game to enhance the story.

This dream is favorite and is also somewhat fun. The first part is a single short event. I'm at home in the garage. My sister was on top of the back porch. She asked me something and I recall mentioning that I was working on my story, the one from 1999 [3 weeks after this, I started this very story]. The year part had stress on it, to signify an interesting fact.

Now for the best part. I was with my sister and some black-haired female friend. I was leading the group, mainly since I knew how to find directions without a compass. We were walking/swimming together trying to get to some area in South America. The target destination was either the northeast, central, or eastern part of South America. We were in Central America, probably in Hondoras or Nicaragua, near the Gulf of Mexico. We focused on getting to the Panama Canal. We were mostly walking around the light-yellowish-colored sand on the beaches. Away from the water was dense jungle. The water had a grayish brown color to it, ignoring sky reflections. I recall using the Sun to navigate, but I mistake the time of day causing us to east instead of south.

We ran across a building without doors that split into 2 zones. I take the left one, leading to an open area that is a dead end. I went back and took the other route which led to a restaurant. The building had a dark reddish hue with moderately-low saturation and had moderately-low lighting (about 80 lux). We ate a bit, then rechecked our supplies in our back packs. We had digital cameras, pencils, pens, extra batteries, and others.

We soon continued on and needed to cross a 150-foot-wide river. We swam across the warm, brownish-colored water with low visibility. Our bags were waterproof so we could freely go in water whenever we wanted. Across the river, I saw a small stream barely 2 feet wide. I stepped in it for the fun of it, which was about 7 inches deep or so.

Through a bit of forest, now using the Sun for navigation properly, we came across a building out in the water. We waded through the 42-inch-deep water to get to it. Here, I learned that a town was to be built here. I also learned that we were standing in very soft mud. It was so water-like, we didn't notice. I bent down some to immerse myself in it then stood upright. I saw small grains of reddish-brown silt on the parts of me that were submerged. I went went further, going neck deep, then returned. We soon continued on wondering how much further the Panama Canal was.

in the last scene, we saw an area 10 feet wide (left to right from the entrance) by 12 feet long (from the entrance to the back). with a small pool of foam that is slimy, sticks to almost any nonmetallic surface, and is very viscous. I recall its texture having many small bubbles in it, up to 5/64 of an inch in diameter. I put my hand in it, the whole fist. The black-haired friend hopped in and sunk at 18 inches per second and found it to be waist deep. There were loose wooden boards (of the 2x10 size and 10 feet long) spanning over a metallic beams with a square-shaped hole. At this time, I saw a button that I pushed to start up a display in the background explaining what this stuff is and how it's made. The dream ended 12 seconds into this. I was about to hop in though.
