A story book.

Water town

Occurring on February 7, 2006, this is the story behind a very well-recalled dream, especially in the story. It took 2 sides of writing paper just for the details. I did not enhance the story using my mind game as the story is too well-recalled.

At the start of the dream, I recall a small town. It looked old-fashioned in style (as from the 1920's or so). The buildings were seemingly made of a dark-colored wood, sometimes concrete. It was misty in this area (a dense fog, like mist, visibility at maybe 250 or so feet, even inside the buildings). I went off exploring, using my special abilities, gliding and jump 15 (jump 15 allows for 8-foot jumps) in particular.

I run across an alleyway. There was some music coming from the other end of this. The central area was water, roughly 3 1/2 feet deep. There were walls on each side, of a bright grayish orange color (about FFA040). The walls were spaced about 12 or so feet apart. Along the sides was a path way of steps like blocks. These blocks stepped up and down 24 inches at a time and were attached to the walls. Each wall had these blocks and they extended out about 24 inches.

When I first came here, I didn't use the blocks, rather, I jumped up and glid across. Because I couldn't jump high enough, I ended up landing in the water. I first skipped across (like a flat stone would), but lost a great deal of speed so I eventually stalled landing at the bottom of the pool. I walked in the water about 10 feet away and got onto the blocks. At the top, I saw a small rock player in the distance. Rather than gliding, I ran along these blocks instead. Behind a glass wall was a rock singer with a guitar. He had long hair and was only 3 feet tall. I didn't like the music so I returned by jumping off the edge and gliding straight back picking up a lot of speed. I was just 1/4 of a second away from skipping off the water again, but rather, I crashed into something. It didn't hurt though as I missed the glass.

I don't recall what happened immediately after the long glide back, but shortly after, I returned to the misty town again. I find my parents here. They wanted me to get some food for a soup. I suggested getting 45 bags of carrots rather than 30 or so that my parents were suggesting. I didn't have much else with me, but I was unexpectedly spending $930 on something (which equates to about $20 per 5-pound bag of carrots, way overpriced). I began worrying about having a bounce check. I wanted to return the stuff to get a refund, but it was already used so I couldn't. I then separated looking around trying to find ways to get the money back.

I first ran across a dirt area with a bowl-shaped interior. The bottom and top areas were flat, but the center area was the steepest, about a 4:5 slope. There was no mud though. A game was going on in this area and there were a lot of children (about 20 or so). This area was indoors and covered about 90x30 feet. From the highest point to the lowest point on the dirt, it is a difference of roughly 12 feet. There were small toys scattered around. I recall a yellow dump truck toy being about 9 inches long, 5 inches wide and 4 inches tall buried about 1/4 of the way into the dirt. I was told to walk around the area, but rather I got a quick running jump and glid across. I didn't do much of anything else here though, just gliding across the entire area going through the other side. I looked down though which is how I got the measurements and saw the toy.

On the other side, there was another town-like area. This time, the entire town was built on the water. Buildings were made out of straw or hay. Some were made out of wood. The day was clear with a brilliant blue sky and cumulous clouds. The water also was calm and looked very blue. There was a light breeze of about 3 mph. There were also bus-ships around. These ships were in the shape of buses, but designed to float and functions as a bus in terms of transport. They had angled rooves with a 5:2 slope (if the bus-ship was level). I don't recall if anyone was playing in the water, but along the shore area or close to it, there was some grass, very tall and large grass (no seeds).

I glide around this area keeping high and stop by an area with a ferris wheel. I was even given access to try it once. The control was a wheel having some ledge sticking out. To move the big wheel, you turned this small wheel. It was easy to do even with just the pinky. The ferris wheel, however, was reversible. I gave it a try and it worked well. I was informed to keep it slow. One rotation of the small wheel rotated the big wheel about 60°. I was told to reverse the wheel every now and then as well. I did very well, according to the one who gave me permission at it.

I went back outside looking at the pretty water. I then asked if I could jump in the water as it looked nice to be jumping into. I was allowed to go in the water if I wanted to. I was about to until a bus-ship came. I saw that it required tickets in order to use. I start climbing up the wood planks on the side of the building I was just in. I figured that I could ride the bus-ship by gliding and landing on top of it. It was too high for me to jump up onto, so I climbed up the building. I couldn't climb fast enough and the bus-ship took off earlier than expected. I had to go back down again. I looked across to where the dirt area was and saw someone taking some black bags out (supposedly trash bags which were full). From where I was, I looked down. The planks from the sides around the building were quite small as I was about 12 or so feet above them. I began my descent slowly and cautiously. I then stumble across a dead end. There was a broken, loose 2x4 protruding out from the corner so I used it. I grabbed onto it, and swung around. I got down safely and easily after this point. I was tempted to go in the water, but wanted to head back to where I came from.

I head back to where I came from. I first go through the dirt area, which, this time, was almost empty. There were about 4 or 5 others in here, but that was about it. As I did before, I glid across the area. I continue on through back into the misty town, but I don't recall how I went through it. I next return to the music area. As I did before, I glid across the water and skipped across landing at the bottom of the pool walking in the water to the nearest blocks about ten feet away or so. I get on the blocks and head back to where the small rock singer was. I then headed back again being much faster as I got a running start. This time, however, I crash into the glass from the shop breaking it. It did hurt a little, but not as much (considering I was going like 40 mph or something). The dream ends shortly after this point.
