The escape from a weird home that cracks apart
Occurring on January 27, 2006, this story is of a very well-recalled dream, both in scenery and in the story. It took 2 1/3 sides of writing paper just for the details. The story has not been enhanced by my mind game and being so well-recalled and very well-liked (hence the extreme ratings), it doesn't need to be.
I'm in some large multi-story building that sort of resembles a home, except it's meant for pure fun and otherwise temporary. Each floor of the building covers a very large area, about 3 million square feet to what I can tell (per floor and there's at least 3 floors; ~30% of a square mile). The building generally had a light brown carpet and a nice, rough-looking ceiling of a light gray color (about D0D0D0). The walls were also brightly colored, but don't fully recall the color, but it was near that of the ceiling, most likely slightly darker. In this dream, I glide and jump, jumping with jump 20 (14 2/3 feet high per jump).
At the start, my parents drop me off at some building. I was first given a bed and a room. The rooms were fairly small though, about 10x10 feet. The first activity was eating. There was a large group of tables, close to 100 of them. This area was kind of dark, although lit somewhat well. Around each circular table were usually 4 chairs, enough for 400 to eat. After eating, it was announced that it was fun time for 2 hours (maybe 3, but I don't recall entirely).
For the fun time, I didn't know what to do and I was confused. I began exploring the weird area. Near a donut shop, I found my sister. She led me to a store where you could rent games. I looked at the games doubting I'd find something of interest. After about 40 seconds of searching, I spot a Tom and Jerry game (as from the cat and mouse chases in the classic cartoons). It was rated E. I get it. From 2000 points, I drop down to 1108 points as I had to rent the Gamecube as well. I ask how one can earn more points. To earn more points, you had to spend 25¢ (50¢ also seems possible, but less likely) to gain one point.
I head to my room and drop off the objects. This is the only time I saw the rooms. It has a bed inside (white sheets and white pillows) and, I think, one nightstand.
After this, I finally went exploring more thoroughly, but along the way, trying to get really fast. I sometimes reached 30 mph, even 40 once (40 requires 75% more distance than that of 30). One of the areas I visited was was where a tiled floor was moving (like a conveyor belt, but the entire floor (and not the objects on it) such as shelves. This area was much like a grocery store, given what I recall on the shelves. An announcer announced the movement like "What do you do when the floor moves? You run or walk to counter it, that's what!". The floor starts moving. I say something in the way of "Also, you can glide instead". I jump up and glide over the moving floor to a spot that wasn't moving. There was a crowd of about 20 to 25 grouped up in this area. I glid right over them. I do recall being in the front watching the floor move though. The moving floor was of a grayish orange tile in which the tiles were 2x2-inch squares.
A second area I find is a Moon scene, basically a replica of a particular spot on the Moon. You could walk on and play around on the scene. The scene covers close to about 300 square feet. I didn't go into the room though, but from what I can tell from watching, real dirt was used that strongly mimiced that of the real Moon (given the videos I've seen on the Moon). Even the landscape's colors (craters and dirt) were accurate. The scene around this Moon scene preview window that I looked through was rather empty and very open. The average spacing between the walls in this area is about 50 feet! There wasn't much anyone around here, except 3 or 4 in the Moon scene and three others watching from outside.
The third area I found is where the trouble started. I find a place with slippery slopes of 2:1 (the steepest) and 4:1 slope grades. I get stuck in here. I call for help, but no one helps. I repeatedly jump and try gliding back, but couldn't. After a while, the building starts cracking apart. I watch in worry then warn everyone about the cracking. The staff saw it and told everyone to escape and quickly. I found a door in the area where I was in and left that way.
Outside was a huge shopping mall showing 3 floors (the ground floor and two higher floors meant as pathways leaving the center wide open). The center area was wide open (no covering except the main roof or what appeared to be blue sky as well). The ground in the center area had plenty of fancy tables made of glass that has bumps and things in it (blurring the view through it). Each table had huge umbrellas over them, normally an alternating red and white. The mall area almost seemed like it was outdoors. It was very bright in there. I recall seeing an ice cream shop and one other store, both on the top floor (two above the ground floor). This mall hallway corridor was 1/3 of a mile long (calculated estimate).
The ceiling in this area was cracking too. I even saw chunks about a half centimeter in diameter at the biggest fall. I glide around this area trying to find an escape route. I found a few methods though. One was a tube that led to a freezer. I recall being stuck in this freezer for some time and I got cold from it. There was a tube leading out, but I couldn't figure out which one to use. I just eventually left by crawling through the tube. The freezer was kind of bright, but it had a lot of bright blue-cyan hues (blue-cyan is 0080FF by definition). The freezer itself was quite empty, however, although there were some boxes about 30 feet away from the tube.
At the end of this freezer episode was a long glide as the cracking was getting bad. I glid near the ceiling. The ceiling was a tiled version of what the ceiling was in the main building and otherwise identical. The tiles were about a foot in width and height. Looking up while gliding, I saw new ceiling tiles seemingly appear out of nowhere replacing the blue sky. I pass even 150 mph along the way. I soon find a door that leads outside at the other end of the corridor.
I entered into an area that didn't have any cracking. I soon see others running along, and, shortly behind them, the cracking. I dash around the corner heading into the place we ate earlier. Here, the ceiling was just starting to crack. The escape outside was here though. As we headed outside, into the parking lot, we watched the building crack and more and more with half-centimeter-sized chunks coming out of it. It was broad daylight outside, almost noon. The dreams ends a few seconds after this point.
