Sonic 2 - Sonic waiting for the fox jumping into the spikes to drown
My favorite screenshot of all at the moment (as of Mar 27, 2007)

What screenshots and videos do you have for Sonic 3 & Knuckles?

Sonic 3 & Knuckles - Tails jumps into spike balls

Screenshot #21: Tails jumps into spike balls
Sonic knows that these things are dangerous, sharp, and should be avoided without proper protection (being super/hyper or have a shield). Tails thinks they're very pretty and wants to collect one.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles - Tails walks off the iceburg into the freezing water

Screenshot #22: Tails walks off the iceburg into the freezing water
Sonic knows that the freezing water is dangerous. Tails just wants to go for a swim. There's a bottomless pit down there ya know!

Sonic 3 & Knuckles - Tails injured by sharp icicles

Screenshot #23: Tails injured by sharp icicles
Sonic knows that any icicles here are very sharp and pointy and must be avoided. Tails finds them interesting and wants to collect one so he walks onto one but isn't smart enough to get off of them and continuously jumps up and down on them.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles - Knuckles in the ground on Ice Cap's mountain

Screenshot #24: Knuckles in the ground on Ice Cap's mountain
It's surprisingly easy to get Knuckles up onto Ice Cap's mountain and climb up and down it. In this screenshot, I just had a major fall peaking around 38 pixel per frame, over 50% faster than the point where the character falls off the screen. During my early years at Sonic, this was one of the first things I've done outside drowning Tails. It took me a while to figure out how to climb up the steepest slopes. No cheats are required either for getting up the slopes or even getting onto the mountain in the first place.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles - Knuckles climbing invisible walls in Ice Cap

Near the top of the mountain, you can have Knuckles glide to the right and go up seemingly invisible walls. I'm near the top in this case.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles - Long roll means digging into the ground and sudden super fall

Screenshot #26: Long roll means digging into the ground and sudden super fall
When on top of Ice Cap's mountain and you roll down a long ways after climbing up, strange things like this occur where I suddenly get nearly 50 pixels per frame of falling speed, more than double the speed needed to begin falling off the view to begin with (which is 24 pixels per frame). I haven't had this happen elsewhere though.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles - Fox about to drown in the game's bluest water

Screenshot #27: Fox about to drown in the game's bluest water
Launch base zone act 2 has the game's bluest water. Sonic knows that he must be careful when in the water. Tails thinks that the scenery just under the surface is very pretty and should stay under water. Being so blue, the water is highly attractive to the fox which, here, is on the edge of drowning. Sonic is standing on the platform waiting for the fox to do it's thing - drown.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles - Tails spin dashing toward the blue and death

Screenshot #28: Tails spin dashing toward the blue and death
Pop quiz! What is Tails' IQ? Given this, it seems like 2. Yep, the fox is heading toward certain death by doing that. It'll dash off the edge to the right, splash in the blue, and bo-ong from hitting the bottomless pit (that is, it dies; bo-ong is after the sound effect)

Sonic 3 & Knuckles - Fox hits easily avoidable enemy and a secret with Hyper Sonic

Screenshot #29: Fox hits easily avoidable enemy and a secret with Hyper Sonic
That spiked enemy is very easily avoided. Yet, the fox just can't seem to avoid it (or it's thinking it's a toy or something). Also, look down. See that object beneath that black and red thing? With Hyper Sonic, you can release this bridge and travel a little into Knuckles' area.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles - New flying fox hit by mushroom

Screenshot #30: New flying fox hit by mushroom
A little ways before this, I had a new fox since the other one got lost (stupidity - it jumped off the edge... deliberately). The mad mole a little to the left through a bouncing mushroom and the new fox got hit by it. I found this hilarious. Hyper Sonic is also preparing for a massive high-speed fall straight down.

My videos at YouTube - below are videos considered special to me that use the XviD codec. SMB2 - Super High in Bead Screen - (cheat used: stopping the clock) Ever wonder what things are like when going 2400 mph straight up and the views you get from the extreme height (10 miles high)? Sure that kind of speed would get you to your friend's house 10 miles away in the matter of a few seconds, but the wrong scaling in the game tells otherwise. This video takes you almost to the edge of the clipping as it's that high. Once I do get tossed up, do you think I can land on the stage again and actually make the goal (considering it's practically invisible due to the extreme height and that it comes up so fast (and a bug that causes random small speed changes))? The only cheat used was to stop the clock, otherwise I'd have ran out of time when just passing 1000 mph on the way back down. This way, you can get the full experience of the sheer speed. Video specs: 2 minutes, 27 1/3 seconds long, 29.97 fps, 6.62 MB (ZIP file - video itself is 6.94 MB), 428x300 resolution, AVI video format, XviD codec.
