What occurred during your 2008 vacation in Minneapolis, MN?

On Sep 13, 2008, I went on my first vacation in 8.1 years. Previously, it was during late July to mid August of 2000. Although I've had road trips like going to Brandon in Canada or Wishek, ND along with a few cases of Bismarck, ND, they are not vacations by my standards. I define a vacation a time in which I'm away from home for at least 36 hours. Road trips usually last about 5 to 10 hours. A road trip is where I go to a town outside my home town and the duration spans less than 36 hours (past 36 hours and it becomes a vacation instead). The trip to Minneapolis, however, lasted almost 208 hours so it is indeed a vacation by my definition. Like the last 5 or so vacations, it was to see family, and almost always in the Minneapolis area. It's mainly only North Dakota (my home state) or Minnesota that I ever go to.

Included are the minute-by-minute logs of the trip there and back. In addition, there are numerous photos, 79 to be exact (11 of these are from 3 panoramas of very scenic areas), all have descriptions, sometimes humorous.
If my luck holds out, I may go to South Dakota next year, but details are both lacking or uncertain. Be sure to check my blog for any updates, if any.
