What are The Supernatural Olympics?
Last updated: Jun 17, 2006
Ever wonder how things look from 6 miles high? How about the colorful flare effect or dust caused from sliding on the ground to stop? The Supernatural Olympics has these special effects.
- Flare effect - The flare effect is caused when passing 600 mph. It is like a "streak", only with the character's positions "duplicated" and it rapidly changes colors. Only the full edition supports this feature. Look at the other screenshots that have this for how it behaves.
It takes lots of speed to get the flare effect.
- Space effect - As you climb higher, the sky naturally gets darker due to the thinner atmosphere. The space effect is just this, but for the full intensity, you'd need to get over 10 2/3 times higher than the absolute highest possible. Both editions support it, but due to the limited availability of height, the space effect is less noticable in the free edition. Every screenshot shows it, but compare the heights to how the sky appears.
It takes a lot of height to darken the sky considerably.
- Puffs - When one slides along a dirt ground to stop, dust is stirred up. That's what puffs are. The faster the speed used with stopping is, the bigger the puffs are. Both editions support this feature unrestricted, however, due to the limited allowed horizontal speed of the free edition, the larger puff sizes aren't usable.
A few different-sized puffs are shown in a stream.
