What are The Supernatural Olympics?
Last updated: Jun 17, 2006
Ever wonder what your position is, how high you are, how fast you're going, or even how long you've played? Several games don't have all this, but the Supernatural Olympics does, and to a greater extent with accuracy than most other games bother doing.
- Distance moved - This piece of information tells you how far you've moved over land and is cumulative. At 180 mph, the speed race car drivers go, you can watch this to see how fast miles get racked up. In the free edition, it rounds to the nearest 110 feet. In the full edition, it displays it rounded to the nearest foot. The range goes out to ten million miles (9,999,999 to be exact). Earth's Moon is, for comparison, 238,000 miles on average.
- Position - The current location of the player. The position is in coordinate units and shows a value 6 times higher. In the free edition, this value rounds to the nearest multiple of 100 and only goes out to one million at the high end. The full edition is unrestricted and the limit is a phenomenally high ten trillion (9,999,999,999,999 to be exact). Just 216,000 of these units make a mile.
- Time played - Tells how long you've been playing. The free edition only shows it in minutes and seconds. The full edition shows this as well as frames (60 frames make one second). This counter always runs and has nothing to do with challenges. Challenges use a different timer system.
- Speed - Tells how fast you're going. This is shown in miles per hour. In the free edition, speeds are rounded to the nearest integer and the diagonal speed is not included. The full edition has two decimal places and the diagonal speed is available but only 1 decimal place is used instead. The fastest possible is just over 2380 mph, over triple the speed of sound.
- Height - Shows how high you are above the ground in feet. In the free edition, it is rounded to the nearest ten feet. In the full edition, it has accuracy to two decimal places. The absolute highest possible is 46,218 5/9 feet.
- Jump count indicator - helps keep track on how many jumps you've made. Both editions have this feature and is unrestricted in both due to it's importance.
