Table footnotes:
* This is classified, as of May 9, 2010, as to what it is. It's whatever the blue flags are on the overworld.
** This is classified, as of May 9, 2010, as to what it is. It's whatever the magenta flags are on the overworld.
*** This is classified, as of May 9, 2010, as to what it is. There is no indication as to what this might be though it's referenced as ID 01 in the design document.
† Most games impose limits such as 99 lives, 9999 HP, or 9,999,999 points. Platform Masters has limits too, but unless you can play for hundreds of years and the like or you read about them, you won't see or know that they're present.
‡ Download size is completely unknown until the game nears completion. This is an estimate based on what I currently have and what remains, along with room for possible extra additions later on down the road.
†† The price is currently unknown and won't be until the game nears completion. As of May 9, 2010, it could be anywhere from $5.95 to $50. It, as far as things are, seems to be around $25 to $35 for the price, but this is no guarantee.

2 Release differences

2.1 Demo

The demo release is basically a trial. It has some features disabled and there are only a few levels. The overworld is absent and games cannot be saved. There is no trial period - keep the demo for 25 years if you can hold onto it that long. There is still enough to get a sense on what the game is like.

2.2 Full game

The full game release is paid for, but it includes everything as advertised.
