Platform Masters is a fast-paced, action-packed 2D platform game. Quickly hop your way to the goal platform while dodging hazards, defeating enemies, and collecting valuables to earn big points. A boss waits at the end of each world. Will you become the next platform master?

Platform Masters has over 300 levels in 15 themed worlds. Worlds range from the city and forest to the desert, ocean, and frozen arctic. Each world has 20 regular levels. Only the first 10 need to be completed to access the boss level to go to the next world. The first 10 levels, each, take about a minute to complete for a moderately-skilled player. The 10 others are optional and far bigger. The next 7 take about 3 minutes and the last 3 take about 4 minutes.

Choose the difficulty to suit your style of play. Choose an easy difficulty to focus on survival and getting through the story. Choose a hard difficulty for a greater challenge and big scoring. Choose something in the middle for a balance between survival and big scores. Change the difficulty at any time. The change takes effect when the next level loads or the current level reloads.

Despite the fairly simple graphics, gameplay is the key focus point. The clouds drifting above, which are strikingly 3D, is the only "eye candy" present. While the scenery does have a fair amount of reasonable detail, it's far from my best potential. This lower detail scenery resembles classic video games from the 2D era, from 1995 and earlier. Game play is simple - use the platforms to land on the goal platform in each level using jumps and occasional tools while dodging hazards (like spikes) and defeating enemies. Collect valuables along the way and rack up a big score.

I wanted to create this game because I wanted to focus on game play more than graphics, far more. It's more of an exercise in programming skills for game design than anything else. The graphics will still be reasonable. The screenshot above, showing a sample level in the forest world, is about the kind of graphics quality to be used.
