What is your history like?

1 History

1.1 The beginning

As many children do, I once had imaginary friends, lots of them. Because, while in school, I had dozens of bullies, I found that humans arenít worth trusting. Later on, starting in tenth grade when bullies were no longer around, Iíve gained only trust with some adults. Children ten years and older as well as teens I canít get along with, but I get along with adults much better.

1.2 The imaginary friends come and fast

On January 28, 1990, I got my first of the main set that have survived to this day. His name was Cinos, being about 23 inches tall. Sliat, my second one, came three days later on Jan 31, 1990. Only in a relatively short period of time, I had twelve come in. Read section 2 for further details about them individually. Cinos got rid of Enemy and was taken out of "existance".

1.3 Systems

Taking the systems from school such as checkmarks for bad behavior, scoring points for good behavior, etc., I applied the same thing with my imaginary friends. If one of them was bad with too many checkmarks, it was the time out, just as I had in school.

Each imaginary friend had a number assigned to them. They were in the ordered in the order in which they arrived. Cinos, being the first, was number 1. Sliat, being the second, was number 2. Read section 2 below for details on this.

1.4 Cinos renamed to Speed

Due to others mixing up "Cinos" with "Sonic", I decided that it would be best to rename "Cinos" as "Speed" which happened to make a lot more sense. The others were unchanged.

1.5 My imaginary friends today

1.5.1 In my stories

In 1996, when I first started writing stories, I didn't neccessarily use my imaginary friends in them. When I started the long version of "The Story of the Wonderful Adventure" and the subsequent episodes, I then used them. Cinos was the smart one, Sliat was the funny one, and Knuckles I don't recall (I'd have to read through my old scripts to find out). Then, when writing "The Rise of Atlantis", Sliat wasn't used, but Speed and Knuckles were, mainly Knuckles. After that, they were no longer used.

1.5.2 Two still remain

Strange as it may seem, being about 21.94 years old (as of Dec 18, 2005), I still have two of these remaining. These two are Speed and Knuckles. They have been relatively unchanged since first coming into existance. The only exception is that they are a little more onto the supernatural side than before and Speed, Sliat, and Knuckles were given spell-casting abilities when that system developed.

1.5.3 Guardian spirits

Since I've had Speed and Knuckles for so long, I thought that they were not really imaginary friends. Who's ever heard of someone nearly 21 3/4 years old having imaginary friends? Since around 1999, I believed that they were, perhaps, guardian spirits and I've called them that ever since. Only 3 were called that and since the rest have been almost forgotten entirely, they weren't neccessarily called that. Sliat was a weak one, but the other two were very strong, almost equal in power.

2 In depth descriptions

Still able to recall the specs rather clearly and in detail, I thought I'd share the knowledge that I still have. Pronunciations follow after the name. Refer to the FAQ page to help explain how to use the pronunciations.

2.1 Speed

Speed (speed) - (well-known even to today) Extremely fast with immense power (high stats), but weak in special abilities. Of a sea green color. 23 inches tall. In the shape of a human, but with dog-like ears and furry. Speed is neither male nor female and is referenced as a "he". He came to me on Jan 28, 1990 and was number 1.

2.2 Sliat

Sliat (SLI uht) - (remained with me for a long time) Very funny, but rather weak in power and abilities. I don't remember the color, however, probably brown or tan as a guess (about that of normal human skin). 21 inches tall and in the shape of a human but furry. Sliat is neither male nor female and is referenced as a "she". She came to me on Jan 31, 1990 and was number 2.

2.3 Abcd

Abcd (A b_ k_ duh) - Hanged upsidedown and had a very powerful bite that could tear through just about anything. He could also hover in mid-air (levitate). Had 3 arms (2 on the left and 1 on the right), but three legs, two that were fat and short, and the center one narrower (called the "stinger"). There's almost no body. I think that this thing was orange in color, but don't remember. It was about 3 inches tall by 4 inches wide and 1.5 inches deep. He was number 3.

2.4 Numbery

Numbery (NUHM br ee) - Loved numbers, very fragile and weak, but was able to bring itself back together regardless on how powerful the hit. Whenever he was damaged, it's break apart and the harder the hit, the more the numbers he was made of went flying all over the place. The numbers in the center, especially the 8 I think it was, went the fastest. Numbery was made out of numbers and was about the size of a soda can top (the thing that you open the can with that presses down). Of a yellow color and extremely thin. He was number 4.

2.5 Imagy

Imagy (ih MA jee) - (a favorite) Had the ability of making tornadoes that caused magical things to happen. This may have roots with my spell system as well. The details are vague, however, Imagy, I believe, had an orange body and multi-colored (?) arms and legs. Imagy had 3 arms (2 on the left and 1 on the right) and 2 legs. Head on, Imagy looks like a square. He was number 5.

2.6 Beetle

Beetle (BEE tl) - Resembles a turtle, but with 6 large, short, fat legs spanning across the entire shell in a long straight line. Beetle had an orange neck and, I think, blue legs with a green shell. Not much is known about Beetle, however, besides that he had a high defense and loved to dig. Beetle could dig into anything. He was number 6.

2.7 Lettery

Lettery (LEH tr ee) - Could draw any picture out of just the 26 letters of the alphabet. Lettery had 5 arms (3 on the left and 2 on the right) and 5 legs. They were of many different colors though he looked rather strange. The legs, from left the right, were in the order of red, yellow, green, violet, and brown. His head was orange and his body was, I think, blue. He was number 7.

2.8 Wordy

Wordy (WR dee) - I don't quite remember the talent of Wordy. As far as I can remember, he was good at making words and liked "white water". Wordy had 3 arms (2 on the left and 1 on the right) and 3 legs. Wordy was about the same size (almost looking alike) as Abcd except a bit bigger, and he was also rightsideup. Wordy had his legs, from left to right, colored as blue, orange, and black. I think he had a green face and either a violet (30% certain) or brown (65% certain) chest. He was number 8.

2.9 Afer

Afer (A fr) - (a favorite) Loved to write stories. When me and my sister played with toy cars often, Afer would just write down everything that happened in the background. Afer (note that there is no "t" as if it was "after" had a wrench-shaped tail like a wrench with the two points (only a circular interior instead of hexagonal). Afer had two short, thick arms and a small head. His body was orange and his head was, I think, blue-green. Afer was rather small, about 3 inches tall, 1 inch wide and 1/2 inch front to back. He was number 9.

2.10 Super...

Supercalifragilisticexpealadocious (SOO pr kal ih FRA jihl ihs tihk ehx pee a luh DOH shuhs) - (called "Super" for short) Could jump up very high, several miles even. Super had two very thick legs and no central body. The head was orange and the legs were blue-green. Super was only 2 inches tall and about 4 inches wide viewed head on. He was number 10.

2.11 Knuckles

Knuckles (NUH kls) - (extremely well-known even to today and my top favorite) Very defensive and absorbs all attacks making it impossible to injure him. Loves spells, strong in special abilities, but rather weak statistically, except defense where he's very strong at. Knuckles is the biggest of them all, still a measely little 25 inches tall, and he's orchid in color. Named after the very large hands he has, 40% bigger than normal compared to a human his size (proportionally). He's in the shape of a human, but with fur. He came to me on June 13, 1996. He was number 11.

2.12 Quarrex

Quarrex (KOOAHR _x) - (very rarely known) Quarrex was nothing more than an ordinary human. He originated from the first stories I wrote. He, however, was only short-lived. He was an African American male roughly 5 feet, 7 inches tall with curly hair. Very little is known about him (I'd have to read my old script to find out). He was number 12.

2.13 "Drawings" of them

hand-drawn scanned images of what my imaginary friends looked like to the best of my knowledge
My imaginary friends (90% accurate)

This is a view of what they look like to the best of my knowledge. They are the most accurate drawings I've made of them. I left out Speed, Sliat, Knuckles, and Quarrex as they look like humans with otherwise very minor differences (besides color) and that all but Quarrex have fur. Enemy has been left out as I have no idea what he/she/it looked like, not even a single clue. I scanned a drawing of the main 8 and modified the scan to make it more suitable for the web without all that randomness caused from scanning. I also regrouped them to optimize image space. If you want to see a high-resolution version (2560x2880 @ 114KB) just click on the image.

3 The future

For the near future, I may still likely have them two years from now. They'll only exist in my stories mainly and, in the case of Knuckles, my mind game as well.

Much later, I'll likely have less involvement, but still have the two that are with me today. Sliat might be nonexistant. Beyond five years, it's almost impossible to tell what'll be going on without either seeing the future myself or taking almost random guesses. I do feel, however, that Knuckles will remain for a rather long time as he's my top favorite.
