What are your water dreams?

Quite often, I have a dream that features water. They tend to be quite a bit of fun and are often moved to the "fun" category. In general, they involve playing in water, swimming in it, or messing with it throughout much of the dream.

Noteworthy dreams in this category:
3-1: This dream is a favorite as it's often used in my mind game - great for getting up very high and going ultra fast.
3-6: I wished this dream would recur as I liked it a lot.
3-10: I don't understand how this dream could be physically possible.
3-16: This dream may go in the weird category.
3-19: One of many dreams of the same theme, this being the first of such known dreams.
3-21: This dream may go in the weird category.
3-23: I wished this dream would recur as I liked it a lot.
3-29: This dream may go in the school category.
3-41: This dream has a good story.
3-48: This dream is well-recalled and has been posted as a story.
3-59: This dream hints to another special ability, "star burst", used with swimming.

Dream 3-61: Pool cleaning made water a strong blue

I only recall the details of one event and its scenes. The event is the last. I recall being in a building and seeing someone using a swimming pool for cleaning. This cleaning made the water much bluer and increased the water's opacity (reducing visibility). Some large, metallic thing was in it.

After a while, it was swimming class or something but myself and the others noticed the unusually blue water. The group was told it was fine. We soon all went in - I recall going quite a bit underwater.

There were 2 other events before this swimming event, but I forgot what they were. The first paragraph is the first event. The second event occurred at a time between the pool cleaning and the swimming class.

Dream 3-62: Playing in manmade pools around the Great Lakes

I only recall the last few minutes. I'm wondering around the shores of the Great Lakes where several ponds are found with manmade structures that form pools. The water in these is warm, unlike the lakes. I recall going in a pool 10 feet deep with a height indicator on the wall. With my head above the surface, it showed "+1". I dove to the bottom where I saw it as "-9". The water was crystal clear with near-perfect visibility. I went in 3 or 4 other pools while walking along the lake's shores. I recall mom not wanting me to do this at first.

Dream 3-63: Sleeping while taking a shower

This is also a weird dream. I'm supposedly taking a shower, but I'm sleepy. I recall laying down in the 8-inch-deep water. The next thing I recall is being woke up by my parents. I turned on the cold water a little and tried waking myself up. After a bit, almost falling a slep again, I finished up my shower barely making progress. I had a hard time staying awake.

Dream 3-64: Transparent, less dense water in a weird building

Occurred on Dec 26, 2008; general - 2.5??; nature - 8!??; story - 2??; scenery - 1.2??; fun - 3??; scary - 1.5??; weird - 4??; imagery - 15% in tact; story - 12% in tact; dream - 15% in tact

I only recall bits and pieces. The primary element of this dream is a liquid slightly less dense than water and practically invisible. It otherwise has the same properties as water. At first, I was afraid of it, mostly due to drowning reasons. Although you can't see it, you can feel it. If in an upright position, you sink in it at about a food per second. If laying flat, you could float in it like water, but you'd be submerged more than water. One can breathe in it for a few minutes, about 10, but surfacing is still a must. I recall chasing a bully or bad guy around the building and, without thinking about it, stepped in the liquid. It was warm and felt like water. I could feel the 4-inch waves. A bit into the dream, I swam around in the liquid enjoying it like the others. It's from this that I got a hint to its properties. Visibility was a quarter mile - with enough distance, I could see the light gray color of the liquid that's not present in the air. The building was generally very bright (about 600 or so lux) and had light gray walls. The building had at least 4 floors. At least one floor was completely below the surface of this liquid.

Dream 3-65: The pool disposal room

Occurred on Jan 17, 2009; general - 1.8???; nature - 3???; story - 2??; scenery - 1.2???; fun - 2??; scary - 1.2???; weird - 4??; scenery - 6% in tact!; story - 15% in tact; dream - 10% in tact

I recall getting batteries for my camera. I put the 8-pack down somewhere and do something I don't recall. I next recall being about to leave. I look for the batteries but can't find them. I check with my sister who says they're in the disposal room and used up... all 6!?

I go there and see a large pool of water with a strong blue color. A lot of objects were floating in it. I saw the batteries container nearby but only one battery was in it. I tested it and it was good. The others were around somewhere. I had no choice but to go in and look around. It was 2 feet below and 7 feet deep. The water was very clean, minus the stuff floating on the top. I went in gradually, to avoid a splash, then moved along the surface slowly. I found the rest of the batteries 8 feet to the left at the 11-o-clock position (based on as I enter). I returned, put the batteries on the platform, reached up, then pulled myself out.

Dream 3-66: FF6, odd aquarium visit, ski troubles in Alaska, and the long glide

Occurred on Mar 6, 2009; general - 4; nature - 20!; story - 6!; scenery - 2; fun - 4; scary - 2; weird - 2.5; scenery - 50% in tact; story - 70% in tact; dream - 60% in tact

This dream has 8 parts. The first is where I'm playing the SNES version of FF6. I don't recall the details well, but it involved the Vector area of the first world doing what I normally did - leveling a bunch then proceeding a little with the story.

Part 2 supposedly involves an aquarium. There were dolphins and two other large fish that normally wouldn't attack humans. The water was a fairly strong blue color. I was at the top area where one could enter the pool. Stairs to the right led to the lower area. Here, I saw someone behind the glass underwater and oddly didn't surface for a bit, more than 2 minutes. He eventually did, but, 30 seconds later, he was back. He spoke with us so I'm thinking he might have had new, fully transparent, tankless scuba gear that absorbed oxygen out of the water. The tank was 60 feet deep and this guy was 40 feet under.

Part 3 is where I recall being in the water, doing the same as that guy, only without the scuba gear. I didn't remain for long, just to get a sense of what that guy was seeing.

Part 4 is where we were leaving. I had my dogs with, rather odd, and one of them, afraid of water, barked at the fish in a smaller pool and wouldn't come. I had to grab it. I recall one last step in the water to wash something off.

Part 5 is the start of the fun part. I'm in icy Alaska on a frozen pond or something. Ice was all over although there were several open patches of grayish-looking water. I recall using powered skis to skip over the snow. I used the powered skis for about 4 minutes. I was essentially trapped on a piece of ice though I saw a jump ramp in the form of a small, but abrupt, hill a foot high. I tried to jump it but couldn't.

I fell in the water, which felt like it was 65°F instead of 35°F. The skis sunk to the bottom. I was left treading water. I looked for a way to get out, but didn't have one. I was left to move through the water to return to the building. Much of the area was quite deep though I found a shore where I could just walk back in shallow water that's 4 feet deep. I recall casting normalize on myself to prevent from freezing, but I don't know if it worked or not. It seemed like it did though.

I reached the building elevated about a foot above the water and got out. I reported the accident and was given a heavy, steel or iron container painted red. It was used to allow me to walk through the water easier. I jumped back in and it helped a lot, almost doubling my speed. I recall experimenting with it a little, casting normalize again when I was starting to shiver which made this stop. I recall getting out on that shore again but asked someone where things were. She mentioned of 2 places, neither of which I recall. I was interested in one, pointing to it showing where I was basically after. I begin heading off that way.

Part 8 is where its night and I'm float-running along streets at 45 mph, the speed limit. I was like a car. I soon ran across a train crossing with the gates just lowering. The train just started coming. I thought I'd charge the speed blast and zip through a gap. I did just so only jumping higher than I expected. I glid over the highway around 300 mph and soon realized I was about to crash into a building. I abruptly turned right to avoid it following the road. The dream ended 5 seconds later.

Dream 3-67: Watery area leads to a hidden room with a Super-Monkey-Ball-style spiraling pathway

I'm in this indoor area with a lot of grayish-looking water around. I recall classical music playing. 2 or 3 songs were played, one of which (the second) has "Figaro" being said many times in a row. I was supposedly exploring the area or searching for something. I frequently was in the very clear water, often under. The water was so clear that you could almost see a whole mile in it. The area seemed to be like it was randomly generated for a video game or something, although this wasn't a video game. The initial area was explored for a bit, about 15 minutes, until I came across this area that went down a lot.

There was a path that twisted downward. The path was 8 feet wide. Square holes (cutouts in a sense) a foot across were in the pathway that was 8 feet wide. Entering this area was a series of stairs 4 feet wide that went down at a 3:2 slope. The hole-filled pathway kind of resembles a course one would do in Super Monkey Ball. It's wide at first but narrows. From 8 feet wide, it was 5 feet wide when the dream ended. Not only that, but it also twisted, first to the left about 20° left then to the right then left the same amount. I was about 150 feet down when the dream ended. The watery area was quite bright, about 300 lux, but the end area was a bit dim, 40 lux. The end area was also highly foggy - visibility was only about 100 feet. I felt a little scared going down this, due to how creepy the place looked.

Dream 3-68: Watery basement punishment and the river speed surfing championship

Occurred on Apr 29, 2009; general - 7!?; nature - 40!!?; story - 4?; scenery - 5; fun - 5?; scary - 1.2?; weird - 1.8?; scenery - 40% in tact; story - 30% in tact; dream - 35% in tact

This dream has 3 parts. The first I recall is being punished and being sent to the basement for hours. This area was about 150 to 200 feet long by 100 feet wide. The whole area was concrete and was kind of random. The concrete pillars are about 4 feet wide and extend from the floor to the ceiling. There were also walls scattered around, but mostly on the edges and only about 2 feet wide, but random lengths, typically around 10 to 25 feet. The walls are a fairly dark gray color, around 505050. Water of the natural medium-light gray color fills the whole area and was 30 feet deep. I entered in an area where a 20-foot chute is. 2 feet down was the water which was very clear. At the other end were 2 other chutes, out of reach. I saw someone doing something there. They saw me and immediately went back.

Part 2 is where I'm somehow through the end chute. A speed-surfing content was going on. This used a surf board. I don't recall how it got fast, but I think I had my special abilities to help. This took place on a river 1000 feet long and 40 feet wide. The current was going about 8 mph - surfers went with the current. The water was apparently about 4 feet deep, but I can't tell. There were white crests and some weak rapids (I don't know the scale). The river had rocks littering the sides and a hill of about 3:1 steepness (fairly gentle) going about 20 feet high. The lower 2 or 3 feet was just rocks - the upper part was grass. At the end was a series of 7 buttons - 6 forming a hexagon with one in the center. I was taught how to speed surf and I did it - at 80 mph initially. I did it twice more going 140 mph each time, hitting the buttons after getting tossed up about 8 feet.

The championship, part 3, followed. I used the speed blast and left them in the dust going about 400 to 500 mph, but seriously overshot everything. The surfboard was red, FF0000.
