What are your video game dreams?
On certain occasions, I get dreams that are like a video game in their nature. Since I was four, I've been at playing video games. I still do today, but less than 1/5 of the hourage as I used to. Occasionally, I get a dream based on a video game, often one that I've played in excess from long ago. Zeliard, Bubsy, and Metroid are commonly focused in these dreams. These dreams are like video games by the way they look and feel. Very often, they are well-forgotten.
Noteworthy dreams in this category:
2-5: I wished this dream would repeat once more as I liked it a lot. It's well-forgotten.
2-9: This dream I find unusual by its nature and I don't understand how I ended up getting this one.
2-11: This dream forecasted the future. Two weeks after the dream occurred, I got views just like the dream showed me.
2-12: I would like to make this dream into an actual game.
2-18: This is the oldest recalled dream to date clear back to 1992 or 1993!
2-19: I wished this dream would repeat once more as I liked it a lot.
2-24: This dream led to the concept and idea for George Game 13, my high-speed do-anything 3D platform game.
2-32: I think this dream occurred more than once.
2-46: This dream suggested a method for the clouds in my first 2D game as, at the time, I was stumped on how to do them.
2-97: This dream is very well-liked and wished I could get a repeat of it.
2-102: I wished that this game was a real game.
2-105: I wished that the game at the end of the dream was a real game. It's also well-liked and I wished it would repeat.
Dream 2-121: A tough boss and a close call in a Metroid game

I recall only the last 10 minutes. I'm playing a Metroid-like game that seems to be for the SNES but is a lot like the NES version. The background is black. There's one room I recall where I took on very tough enemies. It was like a boss. There were 4 or 5 parts and each needed 60 to 100 hits (don't recall). I focused so heavily toward defeating it it that I didn't watch the energy. It was down to 33 by the time I noticed it, from 599 or 699. There was an area of NES-style red lava 1/3 of the way up from the bottom of the screen. I defeated something above it and tried grabbing the energy ball. I had to get the character to sink to the bottom of the lava then jump to reach it. It was only a 5 but it helped. I just made small hops, avoiding the boss's 2 objects as much as possible but the dream ended before I reached the other side to retreat to safety.
Dream 2-122: Finding hidden game Sonic 2K in Sonic Mega Collection

I was playing Sonic Mega Collection and Sonic 2. I enter a code wrong and I access Sonic 2K (after "Sonic 2000"), a hidden game based on Sonic 3 but truly 3D using old-style Sonic mechanics. I played as Knuckles - glide hops were possible. I started in a coastal area, supposedly Angelisland, but it was designed differently. I recall performing a glide-hop on an item box and got quite high. I also recall a cliff - I jumped over it and got pretty fast but missed my target for the resulting glide-hop. Another scene I recall, another level, was a rock cliff. The game seemed to be intended for the Dreamcast but at a much higher graphical quality (texturewise). It appeared to be 800x600 resolution at 16-bit color.
Dream 2-123: A Santa visit, a Felix remake, and a gambling game
Occurred on Apr 16, 2009; general - 2??; nature - 2.5???; story - 3??; scenery - 1.5???; fun - 3??; scary - 1.5??; weird - 2??; scenery - 6% in tact!; story - 15% in tact; dream - 12% in tact
I recall 3 parts. The first is that, upon enteringg the car at a mall, Santa came and was right next to me. I don't recall what else happened.
Part 2 is where I'm playing some kind of remake of Felix, the NES game. It's 8-bit color done well and it's the desert world. It had mechanics like Sonic or Bubsy, only with 1/4 the gravity. Flight was not done - it was jumping. I recall large cannons and very large worm holes that, when too close, caused the character to get sucked in. Enemies appeared too. Once, I practically fell in, but bopped enemies saved me. I was nearly in on the third bop but was oddly set to the side out of harm's way.
Another event is dice. Rolling "snake eyes" (two ones) caused instant death. Rolling "box cars" (2 sixes) meant an instant win. I got snake eyes and lost a life - it was still supposedly a part of a video game.
Dream 2-124: An FF12-style RPG with enhancements
Occurred on Apr 29, 2009 (±1 day); general - 3???; nature - 5???; story - 1???; scenery - 2???; fun - 4???; scary - 1???; weird - 1.2???; scenery - 10% in tact; story - 6% in tact!; dream - 7% in tact!
I forgot this dream by the time I woke up enough to write the details, but recalled it nearly 2 weeks later. Details are vaguely regalled. I recall playing an RPG that plays a lot like FF12. I had just a single character, at level 11. At the bottom right was a diagram that showed the current HP and MP, along with the level. This diagram had a high-tech look to it.
I recall going through a town and being able to jump. There were water slides that I could use as shortcuts. I was focused on battling enemies for lots of levels. I think I may have gained a level (going to 11 or 12, not sure which). At the end, I recall wanting to get back up to get something, but I don't recall what, though I knew it was important in the game.
Dream 2-125: Bubsy river world 16-bit remake
Occurred on May 8, 2009; general - X; nature - 5???; story - X; scenery - 4??; fun - X; scary - X; weird - X; scenery - 12% in tact; story - 2% in tact!!!; dream - 5% in tact!
This dream is vaguely recalled. I'm playing the original Bubsy, but a remake in 16-bit color. I'm playing the river world. The background behaves in the way my games do - each layer is independent. The scenery also moved more realistically. I recall a cave-like system in a higher area, at the top of the level, resembling those seen in the village world. Beyond this, I don't recall anything else.
Dream 2-126: First play of SNES Bubsy - radically different but forgot to record it
Occurred on Jun 1, 2009; general - 2.5???; nature - 6!???; story - X; scenery - 4???; fun - 2.5???; scary - 1.2???; weird - X; scenery - 10% in tact; story - 4% in tact!!; dream - 6% in tact!
I recall getting the original SNES Bubsy and playing it, forgetting to record my first experience. I realized that the whole game was radically different - 16-bit, per-object movement (instead of segmenting), and different objects in the scenery. The village world was apparently unchanged but the carnival world was radically different. There were 4-scale barker stands in the background, one yellow. I could also infinitely glide hop on enemies - I got 30 pixels per frame once.
Dream 2-127: Showing off crazy things in FF6 to those 2 friends at their house
Occurred on Jul 4, 2009; general - 5??; nature - 40!!??; story - 3??; scenery - 1.8??; fun - 3??; scary - 1??; weird - 1.5; scenery - 18% in tact; story - 20% in tact; dream - 20% in tact
I recall only the ending part. I was visiting the house where those 2 friends I associate FF6 with lived. I had my SNES and FF6 - I showed the friends how easy it really was. One of them, A, was there, along with the female, B. Oddly, the other male (my favorite), C, wasn't and I wondered where he was - in another nearby room. I showed the Lete River, house fire, and the case of meteor and ultima in the first world - I defeat Intangir using them with Terra and Celes alone. The other male, C, came - I showed him super fast leveling in world 1 and mention of a place in world 2. Bubsy was another game I had but I don't recall playing it.
In the only scene I recall, the carpet was kind of a yellowish green color. The couch was green. The walls were creme yellow. To the right were 2 doors with a light in between them. The door more straight across (the furthest door) is the one where C was in. B was in the closer door. The 30-inch CRT TV was straight ahead on a dark brown cabinet. Beneath the TV was a small, green-cyan basket 14x8 inches in size going 5 inches high that contained a bunch of SNES games.
Note: Their names are kept secret. I've replaced their real names with letters in sequential order based on the alphabetical order of their real names.
Dream 2-128: NES and SNES Metroid with Mario turtles and ultra cold ice
Occurred on Jul 21, 2009; general - 2.5???; nature - 5??; story - 1???; scenery - 1.5??; fun - 4???; scary - 1.2???; weird - 2???; scenery - 15% in tact; story - 10% in tact; dream - 12% in tact
I recall playing this 2D Metroid game that has NES-style game mechanics and textures, but Super-Metroid-style rooms. Below was a blue substance that was extreme cold and took energy away like NES Metroid's lava. The texture resembles lava, only crystals were visible. I had to go left to right here until I reached the rightmost side. The room was 1024x448 pixels with 320x224 as the game's resolution. The background was all black like the NES Metroid.
I often deliberately jumped in the blue ice for an occasional dip or short walk. At the right, there were steps to carry Samus one screen higher then back to the left. At the far left was a deep pool of yellow NES-style lava with 5 of Mario's turtles neck deep in it. You practically needed to swim the 256x192-pixel pool of lava. While doing so, in which you could jump at the surface, I got rid of the turtles for energy using the screw attack. I recall, about 2/3 of the way across, sinking 48 pixels in the lava then jumping while sinking to supposedly "swim" in it.
Dream 2-129: FF9 and a super fast leveling ground found
Occurred on Jul 27, 2009; general - 3???; nature - 10!??; story - 2??; scenery - 1.2???; fun - 3???; scary - 1.2??; weird - 1.5??; scenery - 5% in tact!; story - 15% in tact; dream - 12% in tact
I'm playing FF9 and was often leveling. The dream itself had several skips, as if watching a movie with the original recording cropped (frames deleted). I recall a Mexican theme area. At the end, I found this area where I got over 200,000 EXP in one battle. I reduced my party's size to 2 from 3 and used this. Upon doing that, that's how I noticed I got the 200,000 EXP in one battle. I think I gained 2 levels in one battle early on. At the end, I got access to the "level up" ability and put it on. I reached level 30 very quickly and thought of my previous game. I then thought I should go further. The dream ended here.
Dream 2-130: Treasure-hunting in high-rise RPG where I'm in it
Occurred on Aug 2, 2009; general - 1.8?; nature - 3.5?; story - 1.8??; scenery - 2; fun - 1.8?; scary - 1.5??; weird - 3??; scenery - 40% in tact; story - 18% in tact; dream - 25% in tact
This is a unique dream. I'm supposedly playing an RPG of sorts, with PS2-era graphics, except I seemed to be in the game itself. I'm in this high-rise. It was fairly dim, around 50 to 60 lumens. The floor seemed to be wooden given the texture, of a medium-light tan color (160 apparent brightness). Taking routes on the left led to treasures. The right side led you to the boss. I took the left route. The first puzzle was getting behind the counter. There was a dirty sock and a hose that led around it. I approached the chute and was sucked in. The camera, without changing its heading, followed the 270° arc.
At the end, a 3-second pause occurs then someone pulled me out of a vent. The sock was now clean. I went up to the next floor. It was very messy. It was around here where absolute quiet was needed. One room had purses in the way. I moved them very carefully. I tried reaching for an item but couldn't.
I then heard voices - 2 or 3 African Americans speaking with each other (10 dB, based on voice accent and speaking style). I don't recall anything else.
