What are your video game dreams?
On certain occasions, I get dreams that are like a video game in their nature. Since I was four, I've been at playing video games. I still do today, but less than 1/5 of the hourage as I used to. Occasionally, I get a dream based on a video game, often one that I've played in excess from long ago. Zeliard, Bubsy, and Metroid are commonly focused in these dreams. These dreams are like video games by the way they look and feel. Very often, they are well-forgotten.
Noteworthy dreams in this category:
2-5: I wished this dream would repeat once more as I liked it a lot. It's well-forgotten.
2-9: This dream I find unusual by its nature and I don't understand how I ended up getting this one.
2-11: This dream forecasted the future. Two weeks after the dream occurred, I got views just like the dream showed me.
2-12: I would like to make this dream into an actual game.
2-18: This is the oldest recalled dream to date clear back to 1992 or 1993!
2-19: I wished this dream would repeat once more as I liked it a lot.
2-24: This dream led to the concept and idea for George Game 13, my high-speed do-anything 3D platform game.
2-32: I think this dream occurred more than once.
2-46: This dream suggested a method for the clouds in my first 2D game as, at the time, I was stumped on how to do them.
2-97: This dream is very well-liked and wished I could get a repeat of it.
2-102: I wished that this game was a real game.
2-105: I wished that the game at the end of the dream was a real game. It's also well-liked and I wished it would repeat.
Dream 2-111: A white, dense, viscous substance in a 3D game

I don't recall the beginning of this dream. I recall this 3D game where I go into a cave that is white all over, like ice. Many areas were solid, but certain parts of the floor, in low-lying areas, it had a liquidized version of this stuff, and it's very thick. I avoided it thinking it might be dangerous. Instead, I took the upper route. I found the boss, a crystal-like enemy. I recall jumping onto it and rode it like a rodeo's bull rider. It eventually fell in the liquified stuff. It was a thick, viscous substance. The boss moved around quite randomly though I had some control. I found that the substance was harmless to the character, but dangerous to the boss. The boss kept shrinking like an ice cube in a furnace. When the boss was gone, the character fell and began to sink in the substance until, when still, it was about 8 inches below his neck (hinting that it's a bit denser than water). I tried to get back to shore, but couldn't as I was lost. The dream ended about 30 seconds after the boss disappeared.
Dream 2-112: Muddy swampland game - avoid mud at first, then play in it with a bonus
Occurred on Sep 23, 2008; general - 4???; nature - 30!!??; story - 2??; scenery - 4???; fun - 3??; scary - 1.5???; weird - 4???; imagery - 10% in tact; story - 15% in tact; dream - 12% in tact
I'm playing some unknown video game where you start in some swampland with lots of mud below. There were some powerups around to give special abilities to access special areas or items. I stayed to the upper routes getting through the first area quite well. I was using the computer and found that the 3D game used a 640x480 or 512x384 resolution. The game always used the same camera angle and was almost top-down and had 16-bit color, though it was fairly high-poly.
After quitting at this point, I returned to it a bit later. I was using the computer and found that the 3D game used a 640x480 or 512x384 resolution. On this round, I jumped into the mud and played around in it. It was deep, but if I got too low, I'd lose a life. Most areas were waist deep. Tall grass extended a foot above in places. While walking through it, slowly, trying to find the deepest areas I could safely get to, I found an area where I could get 6 of the 8 to 8 abilities first thing. I then continued playing in it. Late in the dream, I used the menus to input a password of "TGRTVN", after Bubsy's code for accessing level 13. It was accepted, but strange things happened making it hard to play, a supposed class 5 bug.
Dream 2-113: Sonic morphs into Tails on Ice Cap's mountain

I recall, searching YouTube, of finding a video involving a bug where you can play as Tails in Ice Cap (the mountain area), by loading as Sonic and doing something. With this, I could run and fly around on the whole mountain as Tails although I was originally Sonic. I don't recall anything else.
Dream 2-114: Swimming in deep lava in a Metroid lava chamber
Occurred on Dec 1, 2008; general - 2???; nature - 3???; story - 2???; scenery - 1.5???; fun - 2.5???; scary - 1.2???; weird - 3???; imagery - 5% in tact!; story - 6% in tact!; dream - 5% in tact!
I vaguely recall this dream. I'm playing a Metroid game (which is in 8-bit color resembling the SNES in quality) and I enter a chamber filled with red lava below. There was an area above that I needed to get to but couldn't. The lava below lowered with time. I recall deliberately jumping in. In 2 replays of this area, I went in the deep lava and sunk more than 2 screens in it. I "swam" in it by jumping repeatedly. I once got close to my intended area, just 80 pixels short (I could see the top with 32 px of extra space.).
Dream 2-115: Playing an enhanced Bubsy on a DOS computer and a glitch
Occurred on Dec 16, 2008; general - 2??; nature - 3??; story - 1.5???; scenery - 3??; fun - 2.5??; scary - 1.2???; weird - 1.8??; imagery - 12% in tact; story - 10% in tact; dream - 12% in tact
I recall getting an old computer that ran on DOS. It took a bit to set up but I then recall an enhanced version of the original Bubsy. It had the same game mechanics, but different levels that looked much better than any of the originals. I recall making it through the first level, of which didn't have the big yarn ball at the end. On level 2, I jumped up into a large bird enemy 64 pixels wide by 32 pixels tall and lost a life. Strangely, the game jumped to level 13 or 14, in the forest, supposedly from a previously saved position. I tried to return but couldn't without restarting. The controls were awkward - I had this 3-button pad to use plus the keyboard.
Dream 2-116: Ice cap zone lava and grand video game element combo
Occurred on Dec 29, 2008; general - 1.8??; nature - 2???; story - 1.5???; scenery - 1.5??; fun - 2??; scary - 1.2???; weird - 2.5??; imagery - 12% in tact; story - 8% in tact!; dream - 10% in tact
I'm playing as Tails in Ice Cap zone act 1. I have debug active, trying to get Tails on the mountain but fail to do so as the screen wouldn't scroll further left. I then just go through the level as normal, without the favorite mountain BG. However, past the first area is where things get weird. There are pools of red lava about 64 pixels deep with mechanics and sounds like that of the NES game Metroid. One difference is that you sink in it in the same way as quicksand Sandopolis zone. With repeated jumping but staying within it, one could swim in it. Staying in took something away (I don't recall what though, though I doubt it's the rings) slowly with time. There were hazards like those in the castles of Mario 1 - the rotating fireballs. Touching these caused the rings to flying all over the place. I had this once.
Dream 2-117: Metroid-like game with Mario mechanics
Occurred on Feb 25, 2009; general - X; nature - 1.2???; story - X; scenery - X; fun - 1.2???; scary - X; weird - X; scenery - 3% in tact!!; story - 4% in tact!!; dream - 3% in tact!!
A Metroid-like game is played. I recall falling a ways until I landed on a banded, reddish thing. It was harmless. A repeat occurs and this time, it was harmful. This game seems to be in 4-bit color and it has an all-black background. The game has mechanics that resemble that of Mario 3. I don't recall anything else.
Dream 2-118: Free-roaming cave level for a 3D Sonic game
Occurred on Feb 27, 2009; general - 3.5??; nature - 18!??; story - 3???; scenery - 2??; fun - 3??; scary - 1.5???; weird - 1.2???; scenery - 20% in tact; story - 10% in tact; dream - 15% in tact
I'm playing a free-roaming 3D Sonic game. I'm playing as Sonic with Tails following, doing my usual. I'm in a cave. I recall falling into the black void all around the lowest areas and thought I lost a life. Instead, I enter an area where I could get two Chaos Emeralds. I entered special stages by grabbing them, but I have nothing recalled about the special stages other than their existence. I got both emeralds. Other characters (not Sonic ones) were here. To return to the upper area, I used a cart that sped up quickly, went into a semi-transparent tube, and launched up. This cave was about the size of the levels in "Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly" - very large. Hanging from the ceiling probably 1000 feet above (if Sonic is 5 feet tall) going about 100 feet down is a huge gem resembling the bottoms of the Chaos Emeralds, but of a magenta color. There were pieces of land jutting out of the black void (which appears misty), of which were the areas I could roam around on. I cannot tell if this game is 16-bit color or 32, but seems more like 32. I don't recall anything else.
Dream 2-119: Earthworm Jim and Vectorman combo game in 4-bit color
Occurred on Mar 2, 2009; general - 1???; nature - 1.5???; story - -1.2???; scenery - 2???; fun - 1.2???; scary - 1.5???; weird - 1.5???; scenery - 7% in tact!; story - 5% in tact!; dream - 6% in tact!
I don't recall this dream that well, just 2 parts. The first is that I'm playing an old-looking computer game using 4-bit color (16 colors) and an all-black BG. In it, I was shooting big bugs (insects), sort of like Vectorman, but using different designs for everything. A gun much like that of Earthworm Jim was used. The game mechanics resembled that of Metroid or Sonic (not sure as I don't recall too well). I recall one level and having trouble getting places. The level was very large though, far bigger than levels from the 16-color days.
The second part is where I'm looking at the game's manual. The computer is off at this time. I recall that there was one thing of interest in the manual but I don't recall it or anything else about this dream.
Dream 2-120: Playing a remake of Casino Night in Sonic 2 as Knuckles
Occurred on Mar 17, 2009; general - 3.5??; nature - 10!??; story - 1.5??; scenery - 2.5??; fun - 5??; scary - 1.5??; weird - 1.8??; scenery - 18% in tact; story - 12% in tact; dream - 15% in tact
I'm playing Sonic 2 using level select to play Casino Night. Unlike the real one, this one is restructured and redesigned. I was playing as Knuckles getting high and fast. The background is unchanged from the real Sonic 2, but the level design is completely different and much harder. There were still plenty of areas for great speed that I used. The 16 pixels per frame max scrolling speed was still present, taking the fun out of the challenge. I recall losing several lives from bottomless pits and one from hazards in the lower areas (short, orange-colored spikes). There were a lot of small hills around and a lot of ledges. I recall frequently, upon losing a life, using a ring box for lots of extra height. There were areas where I reached about 20 pixels per frame for the speed. One area, horizontally, is where I had 17 pixels per frame for the speed. Unlike Sonic 2, you wouldn't abruptly stop going up due to impacting level content that repeats indefinitely upwards (like Bubsy does).
