What are your video game dreams?
On certain occasions, I get dreams that are like a video game in their nature. Since I was four, I've been at playing video games. I still do today, but less than 1/5 of the hourage as I used to. Occasionally, I get a dream based on a video game, often one that I've played in excess from long ago. Zeliard, Bubsy, and Metroid are commonly focused in these dreams. These dreams are like video games by the way they look and feel. Very often, they are well-forgotten.
Noteworthy dreams in this category:
2-5: I wished this dream would repeat once more as I liked it a lot. It's well-forgotten.
2-9: This dream I find unusual by its nature and I don't understand how I ended up getting this one.
2-11: This dream forecasted the future. Two weeks after the dream occurred, I got views just like the dream showed me.
2-12: I would like to make this dream into an actual game.
2-18: This is the oldest recalled dream to date clear back to 1992 or 1993!
2-19: I wished this dream would repeat once more as I liked it a lot.
2-24: This dream led to the concept and idea for George Game 13, my high-speed do-anything 3D platform game.
2-32: I think this dream occurred more than once.
2-46: This dream suggested a method for the clouds in my first 2D game as, at the time, I was stumped on how to do them.
2-97: This dream is very well-liked and wished I could get a repeat of it.
2-102: I wished that this game was a real game.
2-105: I wished that the game at the end of the dream was a real game. It's also well-liked and I wished it would repeat.
Dream 2-101: YMCA swimming denied and playing Sonic 3

I'm supposedly at a camp like YMCA camp. I was supposedly waking up and was told to take a shower before 5:00 PM if I was to go swimming. It was 4:30 or so and I was way too tired. I was finally awake enough by 5:10 PM making it too late, but I had tricks up my sleeve. I saw dark clouds moving in but I instead played Sonic. I recall Carnival Night Zone act 2 being involved, my real-world top favorite level as of the date the dream occurred. What's changed this time (as my dreams have a habit of having), is that I was able to play as a chocobo (from the Final Fantasy games). The chocobo went to 8 pixels per frame, 12 in super mode. I had a "low gravity" cheat enabled that made falling acceleration much more earth-like (cut to 1/4 what it is, of which you'd experience when in the game's water). I recall Angelisland totalling redesigned with a pool of blue and red next to each other. The blue was in 4-bit color and the red was lava. White dots at the top were used with both. I recall going in both. Sonic was "buried" in both, but touching the red causes his rings to go flying all over the place. I recall 3 big falls getting to 21 pixels per frame at the very fastest.
After this, I was back at the camp scene where it was raining and I had my shower. I returned to the buliding I came from and saw my group swimming in the lake and that mean-voiced fat guy doing school work told me I couldn't. I told him I was going to anyway and I quickly left. I recall gliding around reaching about 40 mph, far too fast (and out of reach) for him to deal with.
Dream 2-102: Getting rid of a surf board in a 2D game to play with the background

I'm playing an 8-bit color 2D surfing/platform game with a 64-scale background that I was very attracted to. The game had physics a lot like that of the 2D Sonic games. The water was a dark blue color, but the background used 3D effects that were very impressive. There was a small island about 128x32 pixels (the game seems to be running at 512x384 resolution) in the background at the 64 scale. The level started where I was on a surfboard-like board. At first, I didn't think much about it, but when I saw the background while coming down a 1:1 slope, I immediately wanted to get rid of it. It had awkward controls and very limited abilities. While on the board early on, I saw an area with vertical-moving platforms with an extra life in that area and I wanted to get up there. The textures are all white, except when in the water where they get a bluish color (half-transparent 0000C0). I quickly noticed that certain areas or a high-speed collision allowed me to get rid of the board. Sooner or later, after going through a good chunk of the level and the somewhat awkward controls causing me to get back on the board, I soon crashed into a wall which finally got rid of the board. As soon as I did, I quickly looked for areas where I could get back up, but I was otherwise standing on something right at the surface of the dark blue water.
Dream 2-103: Train fears and walking in oily water at home
Occurred on Feb 29, 2008; general - 3??; nature - 6!??; story - 2.5??; scenery - 3??; fun - 4??; scary - 2??; weird - 3??; imagery - 25% in tact; story - 15% in tact; dream - 20% in tact
This dream has 2 parts. It is extremely life-like and resembles an RPG game in a way. The first is where I'm walking with friends into the wilderness. I see train tracks that look strange and I become fearful of them. There were lots of high, near-vertical cliffs around with bare rock showing. The cliffs extended about 200 feet above the ground, though they were quite distant and spaced close to 4000 feet apart from each other. The ground was covered with grass with a strong green color. After a bit, I arrive at the train station. We were to go to some town that started with a "W". I was afraid of the train and tracks and my friends that I'd rather walk there as it wasn't all that far away. I take off.
In part 2, I'm at my house where the front yard is fflooded with water a foot deep. I walk down the porch towards it and go slow on the bottom one to grab an oil container (in a video game fashion where getting very close to it allows one to "grab" it). I walk through the water slowly around the porch where the water was deep. From the 2-foot deep area, I dropped into an area 4 1/2 feet deep and just stood in it going nowhere. The water was calm, somewhat blackish (due to the oil), and a bit cold as it was night.
Dream 2-104: Bubsy forest level with river world background becoming a Mario game
Occurred on Mar 1, 2008; general - 3??; nature - 5??; story - 2??; scenery - 4??; fun - 3??; scary - 1.2??; weird - 2.5??; imagery - 20% in tact; story - 15% in tact; dream - 18% in tact
I recall a few parts and pieces of the end. I'm playing a game much like the original Bubsy. The theme was like that of level 13 (the forest world) but the background was level 10's. I first played around and found a secret box that started a 300-second timer. I had a tough time with woolies, one due to a glitch - it could keep taking lives until a gap was found between throws of rocks. Losing a life caused Bubsy to reappear a bit later in the same spot. The other enemies were also troublesome but easily fixed. I found the secret passage with water. Instead of Bubsy, it was now Mario with Mario 3 mechanics, although it had the same level, theme, and background. I followed the long course into various chambers underwater but ran out of time. The dream ended 3 seconds later.
Dream 2-105: ATV troubles and replaying a long-loved game with Tote
Occurred on Mar 4, 2008; general - 10!; nature - 180!!!; story - 4?; scenery - 20!; fun - 4; scary - 1.5?; weird - 1.2; imagery - 40% in tact; story - 20% in tact; dream - 30% in tact
I recall 3 parts. The first is where I'm at home in the backyard prepping ATV's. A policeman came over to write a ticket. I don't recall what it was, but it was only minor. As the policeman left, of which I was on the side of his truck, I jumped off and slammed on my brakes.
Part 2 is where mom and sister took off into the field to the south with ATV's and dad had an adult-sized tricycle. I had nothing but I preferred to glide and jump around instead. I recall gliding toward large, tall trees with 3-meter diameter light brown trunks. After a few minutes of gliding around, I saw the rest of my family return. I landed in the driveway. I then jumped up and took note of where the tree was relative to the horizon. At the top, I used the flash attack. Upon using it, I looked up at the cloudless blue sky. At the top of this, I noticed that the tree trunk was mostly below the horizon. It was about 125 feet tall. I glid toward it.
The third part is my top favorite, drastically increasing the "nature" rating. I was playing a video game involving a small terrier dog named "Tote" (likely after "Toto"). The dog had smooth cream-white fur. The dog's parents were kignapped along with a few of his friends. The first 4 of at least 83 levels were featured. The first was a stroll through the neighborhood and the second was getting into a tunnel, blocked by a mean bulldog. For level 2, marked with a fancy "2" on the overview map, I needed to throw a chewy over to it found in the mess of bones nearby. After level 2, the main map was shown with a carnival-like theme. There were tents, and various decorations. I best recall a track resembling a train track, though it was very wavy. I could see a fancy "3" on the map for the third level, of which I don't recall. Level 4 was an old-themed town. Both levels involved solving a puzzle of some kind. Upon completing level 4, an elf-like decoration object drops something that opens up the entire map. When that happened, I redcalled playing the game several years earlier and got stuck on level 21, which was on the track. All of the level numbers appeared a fifth of a second apart and they extended from where I was at to an area marked with an "83" at the other side of the theme park, near a shore. I saw an "83" as the highest number and there were areas where you could take two different routes to skip some levels. Level 18 or 19 is the only recalled area with reasonable certainty at which the pathway split. There were 6 levels one could choose. I looked around the map with such happiness. The dream ended a minute later, just before I started level 5.
Dream 2-106: Sonic background and BG scaling fun

Because I only wrote the major details down, most details are forgotten. I'm playing Sonic 2 and used a cheat where no top is present. I set the background scaling myself. Oil ocean was played with Knuckles. Another zone (most likely the first act of Marble Madness), had an extra mountain added into the view, with a scaling of 64. The mountain, if I recall, was 128 pixels tall and almost 256 pixels wide. I recall playing around with the background a lot, especially the mountain. The maximum scrolling speed was 32 pixels per frame rather than 24 (or 16 for pre-Sonic 3). I recall getting the mountain background to go crazy with motion as I often got close to the maximum speed (I could easily pass 24, though beyond 28 was very hard). The second part involves helping my sister with multiplying, but I don't recall this at all.
Dream 2-107: Jumping Flash 3 - using projectiles to get 360+ jumps' worth in height
Occurred on Apr 15, 2008; general - 3???; nature - 12!???; story - 3??; scenery - 2???; fun - 3??; scary - 1.2???; weird - 1.8???; imagery - 8% in tact!; story - 15% in tact; dream - 10% in tact
I'm supposedly playing Jumping Flash 3 (I've never seen it in the real world) and I was doing a boss fight. The levels are 6 times bigger by area compared to Jumping Flash 1 and it has 10 times the visibility range (that of about 90 jumps). The boss was on a tricky platform and it shoots 500+ projectiles out going up at 80% the speed of missiles do in the game. I recall that I had an "infinite jumping" cheat enabled, but don't recall ever using it. I did have super/hyper mode enabled. I used this to get onto the platform. The projectiles were multicolored and they formed the outline of a torus (donut) shape. The inner ring has half the diameter of the outer ring. There is also a thinner torus shape inside as well as a ring inside of that. Looking down, and taking only those on the inner circle, of a blue or red color, the objects form a ring of 24 projectiles. These "rings" occur 24 times to form the actual outermost torus shape (for 576 projectiles). The inner torus still has the 24 along the horizontal span, but only 6 to complete the actual shape, totalling 144. The innermost ring is just 24 more. That's 744 projectiles. Looking down, the colors go through the spectrum in 4 hues - red at the innermost, yellow, green, then blue, blue being at the outermost, furthest from the center. I'm only 75% certain on the color order, but I'm 98% certain that there was a pattern involved and 95% certain that these were and are the only colors.
I used this large number of projectiles to climb extremely high. They were easy to bust without taking injuries. However, when I got close to them, they would explode after one second. I used them to keep on climbing and climbing where I got the entire level in view to great detail. I don't recall seeing any clouds above nor below - it was all black. As I kept on climbing, watching the level "shrink" from increasing distance, I, by about 200 jumps in, was eager to land, but I wanted to see just how high I could go. I recall having the occasional close call where I did slip through one, I recovered and continued my climb. Normally, the maximum height before you stop going up further, is roughly 29 jumps (I've done it hundreds of times so I know). Here, I passed 360 jumps but the dream ended. The green-colored level only covered about 10% of the screen from this height.
Dream 2-108: Collecting millions of bullets for battling big bugs in an RPG-like game

I'm playing a 2D top-down RPG-like game where big bugs were the targets. The main thing I recall was first reaching level 5 or 6 so I had considerable HP. I then found an area where I could get millions of bullets and easily. Bullet packs came in sets of 500, 5000, or 500,000. There were mostly 500's with 5000's. That is, until I found a room with lots of 500,000-packs. This game resembled a shooter in a way, but it had many RPG game aspects to it. I found a room that had 21 of those 500,000-packs in close proximity, enough for 10,500,000 bullets. I recall items replenishing after getting some distance from them. A forest area was beyond this but these enemies were not worth it - a little too strong. I returned, got 3 "zones" away from the area with 10 million bullets, then went back to collect 10 million more, totalling 21 million. The top left corner of the on-screen stats showed the character's names, the level (6), their current and max HP (around 180), and how many bullets there were. The bullet count was comma-spaced and the fonts used very closely resembled the design of that used in version 3.x of "The Supernatural Olympics", a game I'm making in the real world. When firing, 30 bullets were used per second. I was focused on both a high level early and getting a seemingly infinite supply of bullets. I recall passing 30 million. I don't recall if any numbers popped out of the bugs or characters though and I only know of one character being involved rather than a party.
Dream 2-109: 3D Wolfenstein-like shooter game and control problems
Occurred on Jul 27, 2008; general - 1.5?; nature - 1.8?; story - 2?; scenery - 3?; fun - 2?; scary - 2.5?; weird - 1.2??; imagery - 25% in tact; story - 20% in tact; dream - 25% in tact
I'm playing a 3D shooter much like Wolfenstein in terms of user interface design (from what I've seen on TV at least). The enemies were small penguins and things. Defeating enemies often resulted in power ups being dropped. One was a sun symbol, used to destroy all enemies in a huge area. Defeating enemies also helped increasing the level, increasing max HP. The score determined this. Collectables gave 10 points. In one big "sun blast", about 800 powerups were dropped, enough for 8 or so levels. I went around grabbing all that I could grab. The area I was in resembled a stone building, but had a heavy fog, giving a visibility of barely 300 feet.
I also had to consult the game manual. It was for the controls. It showed the cave layouts. Mud was involved. The controls were quite awkward which is why I needed the manual.
I found an area of quicksand but as soon as I stepped in it, the character sunk a foot a second. I couldn't get out. I looked up how to jump in the manual and pressed the 2-button combo ([] and O for a PS1-like controller - the controller I used had the same basic button layout as the PS1's controller, but had different button markers) and was then able to get out.
It was in this area that I encountered a lot of enemies and used the "sun blast" to defeat them and collect the hundreds of closely-spaced blue-cyan collectables for tons of points (and levels).
There were 8 areas/caves. The second had a lot of water, which bothered me as I saw it as a strong blue in the manual's overview. I don't recall if I actually saw any water though, but 70% certain I may have (but couldn't access it). The short enemies were hard to hit since I needed a lot of distance. The game was T-rated based on what I experienced with known test cases. I doublt E10+. Age 15 seems to be the target, halfway between T (13) and M (17). Nothing happened when an enemy was shot, but when it was defeated, it disappeared in a puff of smoke, and sometimes, changes into an item.
Dream 2-110: Dwarf dogs and tough boss battle in 2D RPG/platformer game
Occurred on Sep 7, 2008; general - 3???; nature - 10??; story - 1.5???; scenery - 2??; fun - 2.5??; scary - 1.2???; weird - 1.8???; imagery - 15% in tact; story - 5% in tact!; dream - 10% in tact
This dream may be a bit too cute. I recall that there were very tiny adult dogs barely the size of the fist. Their belly is about an inch in diameter and the dog itself is about 3 to 4 inches long. They resemble beagles. I mainly recall playing a 2D game using 16-bit color with platformer type gameplay, but with RPG game aspects. I was at defeating the final boss. It did 15 to 40 damage per hit. Numbers scattered around the area were used to restore HP. If I collected a "5", I'd restore 5 HP. 8's and 5's were common here and there weren't many here (about 8). I got to the second area but was not able to defeat the boss. Most of the dream involved the game. The dog part was a non-game scene. The dogs were shy, but quite warm. They looked healthy, just dwarf-sized. A beagle and a chiuaua (sp.?) were involved and there were at least 3 dogs, as many as 5.
