What are your video game dreams?

On certain occasions, I get dreams that are like a video game in their nature. Since I was four, I've been at playing video games. I still do today, but less than 1/5 of the hourage as I used to. Occasionally, I get a dream based on a video game, often one that I've played in excess from long ago. Zeliard, Bubsy, and Metroid are commonly focused in these dreams. These dreams are like video games by the way they look and feel. Very often, they are well-forgotten.

Noteworthy dreams in this category:
2-5: I wished this dream would repeat once more as I liked it a lot. It's well-forgotten.
2-9: This dream I find unusual by its nature and I don't understand how I ended up getting this one.
2-11: This dream forecasted the future. Two weeks after the dream occurred, I got views just like the dream showed me.
2-12: I would like to make this dream into an actual game.
2-18: This is the oldest recalled dream to date clear back to 1992 or 1993!
2-19: I wished this dream would repeat once more as I liked it a lot.
2-24: This dream led to the concept and idea for George Game 13, my high-speed do-anything 3D platform game.
2-32: I think this dream occurred more than once.
2-46: This dream suggested a method for the clouds in my first 2D game as, at the time, I was stumped on how to do them.
2-97: This dream is very well-liked and wished I could get a repeat of it.
2-102: I wished that this game was a real game.
2-105: I wished that the game at the end of the dream was a real game. It's also well-liked and I wished it would repeat.

Dream 2-81: Sonic and Tails in vertical level filled with spikes

I'm supposedly playing a Gameboy system where I'm playing a Sonic game. The game had the same look and feel of a Genesis game (the same 8-bit color, textures, and sprites), even how it was played. The game involved Sonic and Tails together in an area filled with spikes. It was an area that only scrolled up and down and there were various ledges and things that Sonic and Tails used to climb up (or go down). The area was quite narrow at around 192 pixels wide (60% of the screen's width of 320 pixels). I had infinite lives and could swap between Sonic and Tails. I left Sonic in a lower area and made the fox collect rings that respawn and use the spikes to lose them attempting to give them to Sonic, as I've done in the real games. I do recall deliberately losing lives, but Tails only reappeared in the same way as Sonic normally has it - appearing out of nowhere 192 pixels above Sonic. This is all I recall.

Dream 2-82: Escape from the dangerous rising blue gelatin

Occurred on Mar 15, 2007; general - 1.8??; nature - 2.5??; story - 1.5??; scenery - 1.2???; fun - 2.5??; scary - 1.8??; weird - 1.5??; imagery - 15% in tact; dream - 10% in tact

This dream is mainly just one single, long contiguous part. Early in the dream, which was like a 3D Playstation game from 2000, there was a few shallow pools of a blue-colored gelatin that was very dangerous to touch. By touching it, you lost 5 HP each frame (and at 60 fps, of which the game ran at all the way through, that's 300 HP per second). There were hills and valleys along with a few simple-looking buildings scattered around the area. The hills and valleys had a grayish rocky texture on them. The sky looked like it was only 5 minutes after sunset. The game was like a puzzle platformer - a platform game where solving puzzles is key. There was a certain place I needed to get to, but as I progressed toward it, the dangerous blue slime covered more and more of the land forming islands and even they got submerged. I recall one area where a giant-sized turtle was used to get from island to island but that turtle went under the slime taking the player in with it. I had an invincibility powerup beforehand so it was okay. Near the end of what I recall, the blue slime was almost 30 feet deep and there was little I could do. I was stumped on what I needed to do. The slime never rose due solely to time, only once I reached certain spots.

Dream 2-83: Fun with a background and a tree

Occurred on Apr 8, 2007; general - 1.8??; nature - 2.5??; story - 1???; scenery - 1.5??; fun - 2.5??; scary - 1.2???; weird - 1.5??; imagery - 4% in tact!!; dream - 8% in tact

I only recall the last 7 minutes. I'm playing a 2D video game that looked very much like a cartoon. It, however, had accurate collision. The setting was a forest where tree limbs functioned like platforms. I was interested with the 8-scale background (i.e. if you moved 8 pixels per frame, the background would move 1 pixel per frame). The game had game mechanics a lot like that of Skullmonkeys only I could jump twice as high. There was a large tree at the end of the dream. I climbed it but fell into the bottomless pit a ways below. The character fell at 8 pixels per frame making the background move 1 pixel per frame. I did it 2 or 3 times. I then, for 10 seconds more, climbed the tree but the dream ended. My favorite part was how the trees looked - they looked quite natural given the very small leaves and random green shading effects. I, unfortunately, don't recall what the background was of, but I think it had mountains spanning 32 pixels high and the game seemed to use 512x384 resolution.

Dream 2-84: The 3D mario and bizarre astronaut games

This game has two parts. The first is where I'm in a store. I only recall the game sampling area where you could sample every game. I watched someone play a 3D mario game. The level had a lot of coins in it - 20 on the first platform with 5 in each corner. The platform was tilted and Mario started in the center of it. There was water below that that Mario could go in. There's more coins in the clear-looking water. The one playing the game somehow lost a life and returned to the start collecting the coins in the corners again. I thought of playing Super Monkey Ball 2 and using my stunt of getting up very high. I couldn't find the game. The area had white 10x10-inch tiles (or a very light gray), shelves containing about 50 games, and this was in a store by a window. The racks had red-painted metallic "bars" that formed the rack. There were about 300 to 400 square feet of area where games were. The area was well-lit and the TV was a 25-inch (maybe 23) CRT.

Then, the dream skips to where I'm at home playing a bizarre 3D astronaut game. Whether it was one of my own creations or not, I don't know. I had debug mode enabled where I could add my own level objects (sprites). I was far out from the main level area but I could fly or drop at 70 mph. I made an enclosed curved area with an open top. I could use this to gain great height with something like the speed blast. I don't recall how it happened but while doing this, I was flung off toward the level at 380 mph and reached it in about 10 seconds. The game had a speed indicator in the bottom left corner. I bounced around a bit and went on to explore the area. The dream ended around here.

Dream 2-85: Walking on lava in Metroid

Occurred near May 25, 2007 (±1); general - 1.2???; nature - 1.2???; story - X; scenery - 1???; fun - X; scary - X; weird - 1.8???; scenery - 2% in tact!!!; story - 0.5% in tact!!!; dream - 1% in tact!!!

I only recall a very small part of this dream. The part I recall is where, in the first area you start in in the classic original Metroid, where there is yellow-colored lava below, there was a way to safely run across the lava without taking damage from it. It was supposedly either an enhancement to the game in a remake, a bug I found, or something else. The character would just run on top of the lava as if it was solid land, and the "EN" value does not decrease or change. Once the character stopped moving, however, he/she fell in with the usual game mechanics. It's only a 1-second video of the dream that I recall - no story or any other scenes, not even sound.

Dream 2-86: Tetris on the NES and a strange hail storm

Occurred on Jun 4, 2007; general - 2??; nature - 4??; story - 1.8???; scenery - 1.2?; fun - 2??; scary - 1.5??; weird - 2.5?; scenery - 25% in tact; story - 12% in tact; dream - 15% in tact

There are 2 parts to this dream. The first is where I'm playing Tetris on the NES. I start on level 14. I make several odd mistakes and only get a single line. It ended to need to dig under a big pile to clear out lines. That is, I had a narrow stack on the far right and at the top, halfway up. I had to maneuver the pieces around this. I recall a second case where I had columns 2/3 of the way up. I fit the long lines through those but had the other pieces slip through an area on the left.

The second part was where I was going out into the garage and saw dark clouds. It begain to hail, but, rather than ball-shaped hailstones, it was a more flat shape, like a box, 1 3/4 inches long, 1 inch wide, and 3/4 inch high. I went at reporting it right away and 15 seconds into it, the hailstone melted 1/8 on each side and the dream ended. I also recall mentioning a 30 to 35 mph wind gust and that it was well below severe criteria (57 mph).

Dream 2-87: Cheat code enhancing original Metroid and a 2D/3D combo Sonic game

Occurred on Aug 2, 2007; general - 2.5??; nature - 6!??; story - 1.5???; scenery - 2.5??; fun - 3?; scary - 1.2??; weird - 2.5??; scenery - 25% in tact; story - 12% in tact; dream - 18% in tact

This dream has 2 parts to it. The first involves using a cheat code with 19 in the debug menu. By using it, I got enhanced graphics and access to new areas. The game strongly resembled the original Metroid but went from 4-bit color to 8-bit color. The yellow lava was also much more realistic and there were actual background that moved with scaling effects (sort of like the backgrounds of the 2D Sonic games). I recall messing around in the varying-depth lava and randomly exploring.

The second part is a Sonic-like game, off which takes up the bulk of the dream's time. I recall it being both 2D and 3D. 2D since there were side views and 3D for the others. The game had 16-bit color for both views. I recall it being in a haunted forest area. The trees had no leaves, the sky was cloudy, grays were all around, and what little grass there was, it was always brown. I recall a glitch in the game where I'd get extremely high if I did something right, so high that the whole level is in view. This only occurred with the 3D views. The 2D side views didn't have this, though. One area of interest was where a pit was with slopes nearby. I used the slopes for extra height and jumped down the pit picking up tons of speed. I'd get so fast that I'd fall faster than 32 pixels per frame (scaled with the original 2D Sonic games, a speed where you'd cross the vertical distance of the screen in almost exactly 1/8 second (7 frames)). At this speed, the character would start falling off the screen into an area with lots of gray. Along the fall, dead tree branches whizzed by. The second time I did this, I got a much higher starting point and got fast enough to fall completely off screen (39 pixels per frame). I recall doing a glide hop in the lower area on an enemy down here, but didn't get as high as I hoped for.

Dream 2-88: House and chemistry lab in a cave system

Occurred on Aug 4, 2007; general - 4??; nature - 6!??; story - 1.5???; scenery - 1.8??; fun - 3.5??; scary - 1.5???; weird - 1.5??; scenery - 18% in tact; story - 6% in tact!; dream - 10% in tact

This strange video game dream has 3 parts. The main thing I recall is being in a cave system that looked like a house in some areas and a chemistry lab in others. The views were 2D side views, but was rendered in true 3D. There were enemies here, with around 15,000 HP. I recall doing 7000 HP of damage to them. One area had a boss with about 40,000 HP and a portable hole. This was used to access a hidden secret passage. The hole was very large - 40 feet in diameter. It had an emblem on it, that of the boss. I explored the cave system a lot more at the end of the dream. I recall some clear gray water in areas. The game seems to be modern-like with 32-bit color.

Dream 2-89: The RPG game path puzzle in underground graveyard

Occurred on Aug 7, 2007; general - 1.2???; nature - 1???; story - X; scenery - 1.2???; fun - 1.2???; scary - X; weird - 1.5???; scenery - 15% in tact; story - 3% in tact!!; dream - 6% in tact

I only recall bits and pieces, mainly at the end. I recall playing some sort of 2D RPG game with 8-bit color where I'm near the end. I recall being in some underground graveyard-like area. There were large dragons that had a lot of HP. The sprites were visible on the map. There were random battles. I recall one area where I needed to step onto a certain part of the floor to get something to happen. This area was brown on the gray floor. The opposite side also has it and with both "active", a new floor appears in the center. This path leads to another room. I reach a similar room with the brown floors and do the same. I don't recall anything else.

Dream 2-90: Fun with a background and pets for the circus

Occurred on Aug 9, 2007; general - 4??; nature - 8!??; story - 1.8??; scenery - 2.5??; fun - 4??; scary - 1.2???; weird - 1.8??; scenery - 15% in tact; story - 15% in tact; dream - 15% in tact

This dream has 3 parts. The first is almost forgotten. I have just a single scene where I'm inside a building with a carpetted floor in my home town area. I'm near the entrance. It sort of resembles my middle school.

The second part is where I'm playing a game. I recall either Bubsy or Knuckles (from Sonic) being involved in it. It was a sea-theme level in open air. That is, fish swam in the air as if it was water. The background was sky but in one of the big falls, I could see an island. The background had a 10-scale or something close to that and the game ran at 512x384 resolution. It had 16-bit color and the background behaved like that of Genesis games - the scaling on the vertical was the same regardless of the horizontal scaling. In many areas, I used a glide-hop which is used to gain great height and quickly. I jumped off of a cliff at the far right and got going to 28 pixels per frame (with the 320x224 equivelent making it more like 42 pixels per frame) and this was without falling off the screen. Just before landing on an orange-colored fish enemy, I started a glide, landing on it, and bouncing up with half the acceleration rate allowing me to double the height I started the fall from. In this fall, I saw the island in the background and it was moving quite fast though it seems rather slow. In another section of this part, I recall playing around with the background, which is how I found out what the scaling is. I never saw the island, though I got rather close to it.

The third part is where I recall my parents calling the circus and dropping off the pets there - ferrets and the 3 dogs. Given this, this part took place in the past before the babies were born, roughly a year or so ago. I only recall something involving a table with a very dark brown wood.
