What are your video game dreams?
On certain occasions, I get dreams that are like a video game in their nature. Since I was four, I've been at playing video games. I still do today, but less than 1/5 of the hourage as I used to. Occasionally, I get a dream based on a video game, often one that I've played in excess from long ago. Zeliard, Bubsy, and Metroid are commonly focused in these dreams. These dreams are like video games by the way they look and feel. Very often, they are well-forgotten.
Noteworthy dreams in this category:
2-5: I wished this dream would repeat once more as I liked it a lot. It's well-forgotten.
2-9: This dream I find unusual by its nature and I don't understand how I ended up getting this one.
2-11: This dream forecasted the future. Two weeks after the dream occurred, I got views just like the dream showed me.
2-12: I would like to make this dream into an actual game.
2-18: This is the oldest recalled dream to date clear back to 1992 or 1993!
2-19: I wished this dream would repeat once more as I liked it a lot.
2-24: This dream led to the concept and idea for George Game 13, my high-speed do-anything 3D platform game.
2-32: I think this dream occurred more than once.
2-46: This dream suggested a method for the clouds in my first 2D game as, at the time, I was stumped on how to do them.
2-97: This dream is very well-liked and wished I could get a repeat of it.
2-102: I wished that this game was a real game.
2-105: I wished that the game at the end of the dream was a real game. It's also well-liked and I wished it would repeat.
Dream 2-71: Playing video games while stuck at an airport or train station

I vaguely recall this dream. From what I do recall, I'm stuck at a small airport or train station (not sure which). With nothing to do and it was night, I played my video games, Blaster Master for one. The building I was in had several seats around, often in groups of 3 or 4, and often yellow and red in color. The floor was about 50 by 25 feet. I recall vending machines, but I never used them. There were about 5 to 10 others here. The bulk of the dream involved me playing my games here. This is all I recall.
Dream 2-72: Classic 3D perspective-less RPG-like game

I only recall one scene from this dream. I'm playing an RPG-like game with the classic 2D top-down style with a more 3D-like design (no perspective, but a 2D flat view with 3D objects, but in a grid pattern). The one thing I recall is being in some sort of cave. I climb a wall as a treasure chest was there. I open it getting the item, and fight an enemy that appeared. Unlike the traditional case where a battle screen is loaded, the enemies are fought right in the area. The weapon I used looked like those weight-lifting dumbells with the 2 balls at each end. The only difference between this and the weapon is that, instead of a bar connecting the two balls, it's a chain and the chain is 5 feet long instead of 2. I used the weapon to attack enemies in the same 2D top-down orientation. Unlike the block-based design where you were restricted to a grid-like system of 16x16 squares, you could go anywhere at any angle. The game was in 8-bit color given the way the scenery looks. I defeated the enemy by repeatedly swinging the weapon around and not getting hit. I went back down what I climbed and began using the weapon to get every enemy I could find that way. I don't recall anything else.
Dream 2-73: Train station delay and playing remastered 3D remakes of the 2D Sonic games
Occurred on Nov 24, 2006; general - 5.5?; nature - 5.5?; story - 5?; scenery - 5.5??; fun - 6??; scary - 1?; weird - 4?; imagery - 15% in tact; dream - 18% in tact
I first recall being at the entrance area of some building which appears to be like a train station. I recall my parents wanting to leave. I supposedly needed to do something. I don't recall what but it caused quite a delay. The floor was tiled with tiles of 2 different colors - a very light yellowish-gray color and a somewhat dark blue-cyan-gray color.
The second part is where one of my parents was driving along a 6-lane highway. I was playing a remastered 3D remake of the classic 2D Sonic games. I had a superjump cheat enabled that made the game a lot of fun as I mainly used it for playing around. I supposedly finished it and tried the remastered remake of Sonic 2 but, for some reason, the super jump cheat didn't work. I don't recall any scenes of the remastered games. I searched Google for it while still riding the vehicle suggesting I had a wireless connection. Only a few seconds later and I began seeing weird things.
There was a dog in the road and someone in a vehicle from which they supposedly escaped from. A 3-foot-high side barrier blocked the escape and this occurred right on the highway. We stopped for a while but couldn't wait so we just went around the roadhog. Ahead was yet another dog. He had 450 pounds in 3 dogs. I continue on without a problem but remain having a hard time finding the superjump cheat I was after. The dream ended after 30 seconds of searching after the incident with the dogs.
Dream 2-74: Alien war arcade game

I only recall the last minute of the dream. I'm supposedly in some high-tech arcade game room. One game I played was one where you are supposed to attack alien invaders from Mars with authentic conditions - spacesuit (just the arm), room with Mars-like scenery (rocks, the red soil, the sky, everything, and in real 3D), and various alien enemies. The main enemy I recall is a long gray snake-like object nearly 50 feet long and 18 inches in diameter having a head nearly a foot wide. You had to stab it in 3 spots in order. The first was far from the head, about 1/3 of the way to tail. The second was about 1/6 of the way to the tail from the head and the third was the top of the head. The first was very easy and the second was quite easy as well. The third was hard as you needed a lot of force. I recall playing the game twice. The first time was where I couldn't defeat the snake and the second time I did, with a second to spare and it took me 5 tries to get the head.
Dream 2-75: Diving into deadly blue water and a fire escape in a 2D RPG game

I recall 2 parts to this dream. The first is where I'm playing a 3D game. There are many cliffs around as well as platforms coming out from the cliff. Below was water, bluer than blue could get. I often jumped in it as weird and random things happened and you'd lose a life. I jumped in nearly 30 times. The second part is very vaguely recalled, but seems like a remake of some classic 2D Final Fantasy game. It was the start of a new game and some metallic ship caught fire and you had to rapidly escape. Though losing 3/4 of the HP, I succeeded and at the exit door, I was healed if I spoke to someone rushing out the door. The dream ended 2 seconds after being cured.
Dream 2-76: Metroid and playing in green slime

I only recall one part, the last minutes of the dream. Here, I was hopping around pools of green slime in a Metroid-like game. Being in the transparent slime, you'd sink like with the lava in the classic Metroid, only a bit faster. You could sort of "swim" in it. Like the lava, you lost health in the slime, but at a much slower rate. There are some passages under the surface of the slime. I first explored the areas under the slime. Later on, I jumped from pool to pool, even going in the deep pool of lava on the far left. Seeing the texture design here, it seems as if the game was in 8-bit color. I crossed the 2000-unit area (6 screens based on the 320x240 resolution the game seemed to have) 4 times in all. The pool in the center of this area was 16 units deep, half the character's height, and a pathway under the slime's surface 32 units below the bottom of the shallow pool, was one of the secret passages. I don't recall anything else.
Dream 2-77: Sonic rolling extremely fast on a pipe

I only recall one 15-second event. I'm playing a classic 2D Sonic-like game. I recall running up a "pipe", like that of Launch Base Zone act 2 in Sonic 3. I recall barely making it with another hill shortly after. I rolled back all the way getting extremely fast. The pipe was a light gray color. The background was sky blue. Whether the game used 16 or 32-bit color, I don't know.
Dream 2-78: Two Taz games with Bubsy game mechanics

I recall two parts to this dream. The first is where I'm playing a Taz game as a 2D game. I had debug mode enabled and recalled playing level 2, which was of a desert theme. At the start, you needed to jump over two "pools" of cacti. The debug menu had a level select command at the bottom and some other controls above it that filled the entire screen. The scene was darkened about 30% and the text was white, making it easy to see the text. I do recall using the debug menu a few times to use level 2 for some reason. I also recall making Taz jump onto a rather short cactus (half Taz's height) with a high density of thorns and lost a life as a result of this. I vaguely recall any of the scenes in this part, although it took up about 2/3 of the dream.
The second part was where I had a 3D game of Taz and I was bopping over a dozen enemies that flew and was scoring big. This game has game mechanics like that of the Genesis game Bubsy. It took place outside a house's back yard which looked surprisingly like my own house. The game had life-like graphics. I recall bopping the series of enemies 3 times with the second focusing on getting up very high and I indeed got up extremely high from a glide-hop. I don't recall anything else.
Dream 2-79: Mario racing and 3 types of wolves in a house
Occurred on Jan 26, 2007; general - 1.8?; nature - 1.8?; story - 2?; scenery - 2.5; fun - 2?; scary - 2?; weird - 1.2?; imagery - 30% in tact; dream - 25% in tact
This dream has two parts. The first involves Mario racing on rabbits. I don't recall the details, but the level had 2 layers. The top had the race along with the usual Mario enemies (turtles, beetles, and "owls" as I call them). The lower layer had pipes and water (yes, the water was big time blue). I played the level twice.
The second part was where I was in a dimly lit house at night. There were wolves in here and the special abilities of gliding and 8 foot jumps and wall-climbing were used. The house was scaled 4 times larger. The ceiling was 30 feet high and the coffee table was 20 by 8 feet extending 7 feet off the ground. The early part of this very life-like 3D level was easy, but when I got to the area with the third type of wolf, I had a lot of trouble. I was overwhelmed and played this level 3 or 4 times trying to get past here, but was always overwhelmed. The third type of wolf could also climb on walls and they were smart as well. Worse yet, there were as many as 3 or 4 of these smart ones. The first type were the simple grounders. The second type could jump quite high but not quite be able to get on that coffee table in the living-room-like setting. When I was on the walls seeking safety from the 4 or 5 wolves below, the second type could sometimes almost get me. When the third type came along, I tried gliding across rooms but I often couldn't make the tight high-speed turns and fell to the ground where the wolves got at me or, I got stuck to a wall again and the third type of wolf got me while I was on the wall. I tried various tactics and improved a lot to the point with the coffee table, but I always had a lot of trouble with the third type of wolf.
Dream 2-80: 2D RPG game and a castle becoming haunted

I'm playing an RPG game involving castles. It was a 2D top down classic with 8-bit color. I recall 2 parts in the dream. The first is where the castle was bright and had a few occupants. There was a pathway westward that had enemies along it (as random encounters) and a pathway to the north that was blocked off. There was a secret area on the northeast that had treasures and a portal. The enemies were quite weak suggesting that this was early in the game (about 50 damage was what the player could do). I recall going into the secret area and exploring the western and eastern halves. The king was between the secret area and the blocked off northern route.
The second part involves the same area, but half as bright and the northern part accessible. The enemies were twice as powerful and encountered everywhere, even where they weren't before. By then, I was doing 120 in damage. I spent a while battling enemies to gain power, but don't recall going into the northern area though, nor anything else about this dream.
