What are your video game dreams?
On certain occasions, I get dreams that are like a video game in their nature. Since I was four, I've been at playing video games. I still do today, but less than 1/5 of the hourage as I used to. Occasionally, I get a dream based on a video game, often one that I've played in excess from long ago. Zeliard, Bubsy, and Metroid are commonly focused in these dreams. These dreams are like video games by the way they look and feel. Very often, they are well-forgotten.
Noteworthy dreams in this category:
2-5: I wished this dream would repeat once more as I liked it a lot. It's well-forgotten.
2-9: This dream I find unusual by its nature and I don't understand how I ended up getting this one.
2-11: This dream forecasted the future. Two weeks after the dream occurred, I got views just like the dream showed me.
2-12: I would like to make this dream into an actual game.
2-18: This is the oldest recalled dream to date clear back to 1992 or 1993!
2-19: I wished this dream would repeat once more as I liked it a lot.
2-24: This dream led to the concept and idea for George Game 13, my high-speed do-anything 3D platform game.
2-32: I think this dream occurred more than once.
2-46: This dream suggested a method for the clouds in my first 2D game as, at the time, I was stumped on how to do them.
2-97: This dream is very well-liked and wished I could get a repeat of it.
2-102: I wished that this game was a real game.
2-105: I wished that the game at the end of the dream was a real game. It's also well-liked and I wished it would repeat.
Dream 2-61: Playing in hot pits and a massive fall

I'm playing a 2D sidescroller game. It has true color. Although not recalled that much, I recall one particular room. The area had a black background and walkable areas of rocks, supposedly in a cave setting. The bottoms were sharp. There were few enemies and a few hot pits. I do recall jumping into these hot pits that were only about two pixels deep. There was one hot pit that was 16 pixels deep, if I recall correctly, half the height of the character. I climbed up quite well. I do recall otherwise jumping into a huge void and falling very fast. Like Sonic 3, if you fall faster than 24 pixels per frame, your character starts falling off the scree, going completely off by 31 pixels per frame. In this dream, not only did I fall completely off the screen, but I was still accelerating for another second longer, around 48 pixels per frame. I lost a life from this in the game.
At the end of the dream, I was looking around for those hot pits, especially the deep one. The hot pits glowed an orange, yellow-orange, and yellow color in an alterating 123212321... pattern, changing every 8 frames (2/15 of a second). I never found it again and the dream ended after about 8 minutes of searching and playing with the shallow ones.
Dream 2-62: Crystal finding along steep hills in dense fog

I only vaguely recall this dream. I'm playing a 3D adventure game. I recall it having game mechanics much like Spyro 2 (with the double-jump bug). I only recall jumping over trains and train tracks, walking/running alongside somewhat steep 2:1 and 3:1 slopes where some crystals and an enemy was. The enemy was after capturing females, of which I needed to protect and did well. This same scene repeated 4 times with little variation, each run with fewer crystals. Along the path way was some Mario-3-like door - a black 1:2 rectangle. I recall going into it on the second run. The fog in this 3D scene was very short, about 1200 feet, and was rather tricky to see far. The player, using the Sega Genesis as a guide, is about 20 pixels tall (making the visibility 500 pixels distant). This game resembled that of the first Playstation games in terms of graphics quality.
Dream 2-63: RPG and adventure game in one by a dangerous lake

I don't recall much. All I do recall is playing an RPG-like game. Unlike most RPG's, this game played much like a platform or adventure game but as enemies were destroyed, you got stronger. It was a 3D game. All around was clear-looking water with a very slight reddish tint. There were strange creatures I battled. I do recall that you could go in the water, but some areas you couldn't as the water was acidic and drained HP very quickly, about 10% per second. I recall an orangish-gray monster with a suction cup for a mouth and resembles a sea creature. As to the story, all I recall is trying to get to the area with that sea creature earlier than the game would normally allow.
Dream 2-64: Skullmonkeys game mud pools

I'm playing a game, much like Skullmonkeys, but with several differences. I'm playing the "The Incredible Drivy Runn" level, the one with the "horse". There were mud pools floating above the course and I often jumped in. When doing so, a claw from above appeared with someone saying that they were his mud pools. The mud was thick and hard to move through. At the end of the dream, I was able to last all of the way through the level remaining in these mud pools. I don't recall anything else.
Dream 2-65: Playing Final Fantasy 4 for my sister
Occurred on Sep 21, 2006; general - 6??; nature - 6??; story - 6???; scenery - 5.5??; fun - 6.5??; scary - 1???; weird - 1???; imagery - 15% in tact; dream - 12% in tact
I only recall parts and pieces. I first recall my sister asking me to see if I can do something. It was a game, Final Fantasy 4. I play it first by loading my sister's game. It was supposedly 3D-like. I've never seen FF4, let alone the media or system it comes on. I recall a fire cave with a few lava pits scattered around. It was dark in the fire cave. Throughout the dream, I played the game, often doing my usual thing with such games - battling enemies, lots of them. The enemies were represented by icons, some of which moved, and by touching them or having some contact, I initiated a battle. I don't recall whether I did what my sister wanted (or even what it was).
Dream 2-66: RPG game with a great song and a grocery shopping mishap

I'm playing some sort of RPG game only with much more adventure game aspects with life-like graphics. I don't recall much, only the last 2/3 or so. I was on some small island with a nuclear-power-plant-like object. I was to enter it by using some hole (sewer?) near it. I recall, near the entrance, that there were a lot of bees. The hole I was to enter was here but needed to get past the bees. I clearly recall the behavior of the background music. Before I reached a certain distance from the power plant, one song played in a dull and unhappy form. Past this area, when close, a song played that was very worthy of recording (adding to my music collection). I messed around here for a while even stopping motion to hear the wonderful song.
The second part is where I'm grocery shopping. I had two carts completely filled. When at the checkouts, the total came out to $350-something, way higher than expected. I told them that if I couldn't afford a $240 monitor, I certainly couldn't get this. I had to return some things. In the cash register, I saw the clerk with a $100 bill in it. I tried reducing what I had there to get the total expense within the limit. I soon went around the store looking for cheaper alternatives or getting rid of some things. I returned to the checkout and reprocessed it. The cashier wondered where the $100 bill went and looked all over. She moved the black tray the coins and bills were in and it was found underneath it. The dream ended around here.
Dream 2-67: 3D RPG game and minor 2D Zeliard remake
Occurred on Sep 26, 2006; general - 6; nature - 5.5; story - 6; scenery - 6.5; fun - 6.5; scary - 1; weird - 1; imagery - 35% in tact; dream - 40% in tact
This dream has 2 parts. At first, I'm playing an RPG game. In it, which looks quite a bit like FF7 in terms of graphics and somewhat the gameplay. I'm in the wilderness by a large house. The house has an orangish-colored roof and on it a garden. I get a car on top of the roof. The car can cross shallow water. I use it to explore a bit. Off to the side near the house, I found a cave where the entrance is in the water. I enter the cave and look around a bit. I start at the bottom which is all dry. There is a T junction here. The view is a prerendered scene, like that of FF7. The camera is pointed about 65° down and if north was the direction to the entrance, rotated about 40° to the right. On the left side is a long winding path going up. It is accessible by taking the path heading to the lower left to the bottom left corner. The bottom right is just a ledge, otherwise flat, with a sand texture that looks like you can run around on. I don't recall anything else about this part.
The second part is where I'm playing the old Zeliard, only where several enhancements have been made. I'm in the fifth level, the one with the blue stuff. I recall having low health. I had all I needed in this level and was ready for the boss. I had to cross the blue stuff, doing the usual of having to avoid or enemies in it. Some of the enhancements were small variations in the landscape (high and low spots, usually a pixel or two off from the base), and transparency effects with the blue stuff - the player and enemies in it. The graphics, gameplay, and other things are otherwise the same. With the low health, I had to be careful. I needed a place where I could heal the character, which is done by standing still for a long time. The problem was that there were just too many enemies. I try crossing the blue stuff, where I see the transparency effects. I even make the player character bend down when lower from the minor elevation changes, so see how high it came up. I make it across, but get hit by enemies. The shield I had took most of the damage. I had only 6 pixels on the life bar, which means something like 22 to 25 hit points (as each pixel is 4 - I've studied the game's mechanics so I know this). I then get surrounded by enemies, first by a red blob falling from an area above then an eyeball shooting across the area from the other side. I ended up losing all the life I had left and tried to restart a previously loaded game, but had a hard time finding the right key on the keyboard to use. The dream ended at this point.
Dream 2-68: Rising lava in an adventure game

I only recall one small part somewhat well with a second as just a scene. I was playing either an RPG game or an adventure game. One scene I recall is doing something around a cave causing lots of lava to rise up in the neighboring area. I had the scene run 3 times or so. The cave, of which I do recall going into, was high on top of a hill. The hill had grass covering it. There was a vast, rather open valley below with high cliffs surrounding the entire area. The cliffs and valley were bare rock with almost no vegetation. One run of this (the second I think) was when an ally was enveloped by the rapidly rising lava. It rose fast enough to go from the valley far below to the top of this hill in only 20 seconds. I had to make some powerful jumps to make it to safety.
Late in the dream, I was near the end of the game. It was like that of Final Fantasy 7's final area - the northern cave. It was a cave, but it was dark. I pretty much don't recall a thing about it. The scene was like that of Final Fantasy 7's prerendered scenes.
Dream 2-69: Classic RPG game - how to use a ship in a case

I'm playing one of the classic 2D RPG games, of which used 8-bit color. I don't recall much. I mainly recall the last 10 minutes or so. I was trying to learn how you do something. I was inside a cave and there was a ship. I was trying to figure out how to use the ship. I looked through all the tutorials, of which the residents in the various small towns were the tutorials. One of the tutorials was how struck-first battles were fought. I played it 4 times and encountered a bug. The scene had 4 enemies which were on the right side of the screen. All at once, the enemies attacked my characters, which were on the left side of the screen. Each time the enemies went, I was hit 4 times dealing quadruple the damage and it occurred four consecutive times as though the enemies struck 16 times. After I attacked the enemies, of which they returned to one hit per enemy afterwords, I returned. I couldn't find what I was after and the dream ended.
Dream 2-70: Gray-shelled turtles in a 2D Mario/Sonic game
Occurred on Oct 17, 2006; general - 7.5??; nature - 8.5!??; story - 6??; scenery - 6???; fun - 7.5??; scary - 1???; weird - 2??; imagery - 8% in tact!; dream - 10% in tact
I only recall 2 things about this dream. I'm playing a 2D Mario game, much like that of Mario 3. There were those turtles with gray-colored shells (of the color 808080, ######). Normally they are green and red. These gray-shelled ones took 3 hits to get them sent off. I was supposedly quite far in the game. The levels had a cave or ice theme and the graphics used 8-bit color. The game mechanics were much like that of Sonic in the classic 2D games. The levels had the theme and style of Mario 3, only with 8-bit color, but the game mechanics were like that of Sonic 3.
Near the end of one of the levels, there was an area where these gray-shelled turtles came from and they had wings meaning another hit was needed. It was like Sonic where, if as a ball or in a spindash, he'd injure enemies. Because the gray-shelled turtles took 3 hits, I could score big with ease so I spent a lot of time doing so. I started a spin dash right under the area where one of these turtles came from and when they fell, they lost their wings upon impact but continued falling taking one hit each frame and after 4 hits, they were destroyed. It was about 5 seconds between enemies appearing. I reached the end of the level which exactly resembles Mario 3's end of level scenario. When I hit the box of objects, I had 9:59 on the clock. I don't recall what else happened, other than the dream ending 5 seconds later.
