What are your travel dreams?

Ever since my "mean teacher" went to the Bahamas when I was in the 7th grade or so, I've always been interested in travel since. This interest also sparked the birth of my mind game. Since probably around 2000 or so have I had the most travel-related dreams. These dreams, in general, have a lot to do with travel and vacations with little in the way of exploration.

Noteworthy dreams in this category:
5-6: Ideas from this dream were used in my story "The Legend of the 10 Elemental Masters".
5-11: I wished that this dream would recur as I liked it a lot.
5-19: This dream hinted at an event to occur just 5 days later. By then, one of my previous neighbor's dogs (the hunter) jumped the fence and killed one of my dogs.
5-20: This dream was featured in one of my stories.
5-26: A "teacher" I had in elementary school is mentioned here.
5-28: I've called my home town's planners and things to offer a suggestion involving this dream (except a much cheaper version than what my dream mentions).
5-30: This dream may go in the exploration category. It's also one of many dreams in a burst that featured my first ever trip into Canada (on Jun 20, 2005).
5-32: This dream likely occurred due to watching too much of a particular TV show.
5-37: This dream features a software crash with a cell phone, something I've never heard of happening at the time the dream occurred.
5-38: The dream features some getting stuck in a blizzard. Just a few days later, a major blizzard struck my area causing one of my family members to not be able to return home for a day.
5-48: A rather unusual way of obtaining small cash quickly was mentioned here.
5-49: I wished that this dream would recur as I liked it a lot.
5-52: The dream is very well-recalled in terms of the scenery, but almost no story is recalled, a rare combination.
5-58: This dream still bothers me (as of Apr 10, 2007) whenever I go shopping.
5-61: This dream is liked a lot and I wished it would occur again.
5-71: This dream may belong in the "weird" category.
5-79: I found the last part of this dream quite bizarre and wished it would recur.
5-82: This strongly mimics something I do in my mind game a lot and wished more of such dreams would occur.
5-88: This dream features an inventor with a strange way of gaining lift.

5-103: Despite being vaguely recalled, this dream is an oddball in that the feelings are well-recalled compared to anything else bumping the dream's in-tact rating above the scenery and story in-tact ratings, well above.
5-118: This dream has an unusually high nature rating compared to the rest - it stuck in my mind for a few days.
5-128: This dream has a great story and is probably the first that uses event undoing directly.
5-141: This dream is a high favorite with a compatibity of 200. It was stuck in my head for about a week afterwards.
5-144: This dream predicted numerous events fairly well (though indirectly as usual) in the Sep 13, 2008 vacation I had.

Dream 5-171: Meeting those FF6-associated friends in a water-park-like area

Oddly, I seem to have a spike in these dreams. I don't recall this one that well, but I was to meet those 2 friends I associate FF6 with in some weird area. I recall slides (HSV color being "150, 0.9, 0.9", approximating 17E67E or ######) and maybe water. but I know it was indoors and a fun place. I saw 3 members of that family. I saw E first (name classified, based on alphabetical order). I asked E if I could see D, my favorite. I indirectly saw A as well. Beyond this, I don't recall anything else.

Dream 5-172: A trip to Bismarck for a play where I win a prize

I recall 2 parts. The first is that I'm with mom on a trip to Bismarck. I don't recall what we were there for, but I do recall a play. I also recall realizing that I forgot my drinks. The play, which took place in an auditorium or something, had 2 parts to it (that is, two plays going on simultaneously in the same area). The first is the main play itself but this wasn't the focus of the dream. The other is where participants, chosen at random, had small 30-second parts of a lesser play outside the room with the main one. Depending on how well one does, there are prizes available. I recall at least 3 cases of random volunteers. I was eating animal crackers. I don't recall the first case but I do recall the second and third. The second involved someone doing something (don't recall). They had to decide between a river swim in South Dakota, something in North Dakota, and something else I don't recall. The 3 signs had a photo of the event with large 3D text covering the center 1/4 of the 10x7 photo. The text seemed to be of the Tahoma bold font. They chose the one I don't recall.

Part 2 is where I was next and was to play as a camel, taking a small child (4 years old) out of the main action area - I was to simply crawl/walk on all fours. The child was heavier than I thought so I nearly collapsed, but I adjusted and returned to normal. I returned to the area at a slow 1/2 mph. It went well I earned a price but the dream ended before I got to choose. I was leaning toward the South Dakota river swim one though, given my thoughts and attraction toward it beforehand.

Dream 5-173: A mysterious high hill in MN and a computer OS removal problem

I recall 5 parts to this dream. Throughout this dream, I was visiting Minnesota for family. The first is vaguely recalled but I recall some family member doing stuff on the computer. I didn't have my game systems with me and wanted to play my games. I used insta-teleport to get to my house, grab my PS1 and JF1, then returned all in 7 to 8 total seconds.

Part 2 is where I'm riding in mom's van with others returning to the house in MN. I spot a road off the side that leads up to a high hill somewhere from 500 to 800 feet high. I tried to see if I could go up there and look around (yes, the hill is out of place - nothing is like that in MN). I couldn't get it to happen.

Part 3 is essentially unrecalled outside know it was present.

Part 4 is another attempt at the mountain road, of which failed. I saw it go by as if it didn't exit to mom who was driving. I began to complain about it and I was told to research it.

Part 5 is just that, the research. The computer used Windows Vista. I recall using Google Maps and the satellite imagery to examine the hill and roads leading up to it. I often had problems with the mouse's cord getting caught on something. I then wanted to find out what version of Windows was used so I looked it up on the control panel. I then recallseeing a "remove operating system" option on the control panel and selected it. I had text (don't recall) and 2 buttons. The button on the right was "ten" and the other was the standard "OK". I clicked it and the OS removal started and couldn't stop it. I had to tell the one who owned the computer about it. I, oddly, lied about the cause stating that the cord got stuck and demonstrated it. It caused me to choose "OK" instead of what I was after. The dream ended at this point.

Dream 5-174: Being a spell-casting supporter for an odd semi company and the odd pond

I only recall 3 things. The first is that I have a job as a supporter for a semi company (those who drive 18-wheelers (a large van in the dream), delivering and hauling goods around. I was mainly to watch and check upon the cargo (a bunch of small barrels and probably a few cardboard boxes made up the cargo) to make sure things were okay. There was a driver and passenger. The passenger was a fat lady who seemed to be 300 to 400 pounds. The driver was a male, but don't recall any specifics. I supposedly had the ability to cast spells. I recall giving a report on how things were - all was good.

There's a second part to this dream, but cannot recall anything from it, aside from it existing.

The third part is where the truck stopped by an odd grassy area with a small pond with a building and a pile of junk in it. The water was crystal clear, of which seemed odd for its location. I rode on the back of the fat lady - a spell I used on myself lessened the weight on her. I rode her like a small child on the top of a parent while walking. Both her and the one in the van went in the water checking the junk pile and shack. The water was only 3 feet deep at the most occurring near the back right corner of the shack. I didn't touch the water at all, as if I was afraid of it. This area was 150 feet from the highway. 3 or 4 were playing in the water, like it was a miniature lake. Once I got out of the water area, I got off on the ground and cast a spell though I have no idea what it was.

Dream 5-175: Disgaea at FF6-associated friends' house

This is the fourth such dream involving meeting that family with the 2 friends I associate FF6 with. This one has nothing to do with FF6 though. Instead, it involves playing Disgaea (the first dream to mention Disgaea nearly 5 months after first playing it). I asked the friends' mother, E (name classified, based on alphabetical order), if I could play Disgaea and she told me that I could. Thus, I got Disgaea out of my bag. She also told me that the 2 friends were coming in a half hour or so. I don't recall anything else though no actual game play was involved.

Dream 5-176: Gulf oil spill ruins an east coast swim club

Occurred on Jun 6, 2010; general - 2.5; nature - 4; story - 3; scenery - 1.5; fun - 4; scary - 2; weird - 2.5; scenery - 40% in tact; story - 50% in tact; dream - 45% in tact

This dream has 4 parts. The first is vaguely recalled but I'm on the US's east coast in one of the middle latitude states (such as Virginia for example, though it's uncertain). I otherwise don't recall anything else for this part.

Part 2 was where the ocean swim began. I was asked if I could tolerate the somewhat chilly water. I don't recall my response, but I eventually went in. I think I ran toward it splashing myself or something, but I do recall approaching it and getting in deep quite fast. The water was a bit chilly at first but overall wasn't too bad. It was like 76 to 79°F. The sky was overcast as there was a lot of gray in the scene and no visible lighting effects from the Sun. Things were fine until I encountered a swimming instructor. She seemed to be 12 years old by looks and size which seemed odd. She often interfered with my swimming. The shoreline and an odd area 50 to 70 feet out near a pipe had shallower land I could stand on. While in the water, I was concerned about the monsters - sharks, jellyfish, etc.. I stayed alert for these, much more than most would. I recall following the shore where a steep hill led to the water. It was around 20 to even 30° for the slope.

In part 3, a bit later, I was informed that the oil spill from the gulf was heading my way and had to get out of the water. Upon getting out of the water, I looked at myself to see if oil covered me - there wasn't any. Upon returning to the main building, I was to get dressed and get a health exam. I was given clothes. One of which was my recent shirt and the other was one of my old pairs of underwear with a big bluish stain in the center roughly 3 inches in diameter and quite circular. It was on the back's center area. I told them I already had my clothes out. Mysteriously, they were in my house's room in North Dakota. I, with the others, went there, jumping the 1500 or so miles instantly, as if the rooms were interconnected and seamless. It's in a way, like a wormhole was there. I got my clothes on and then I heard about the worrysome part.

Part 4 is that worrysome part - a check on my teeth. I needed to think of a way to fool the one checking them or I'd be permanently kicked out of the fun stuff. Given that part and other parts, I thought I was part of some swim club on the US's east coast. The guy came and had this tiny 1-centimeter-in-diameter mirror. Oddly, the mirror didn't bother me like it normally would and I somehow passed the exam. I was the third one checked of the nearly 80 or so here. I was probably checked early because I showed signs of fear. Talk about IQ followed - I mentioned I may have 130 altogether though tests taken a decade ago state a value around 113 (ą4). I don't recall anything else.

Dream 5-177: Dad's truck runs out of gas while moving - needed computer to ensure site update

I only recall bits and pieces. I'm supposedly moving, changing residency, going to some uknown or unrecalled location. It was night. I'm in mom's van - almost all stuff is in the back. All is well... until dad's truck runs out of gas. This was pretty much out in the open. We weren't too far from the "old" home but needed to return to get gas. We got it, but I wanted to get my computer so I could ensure I'd get my site updated as "advertised" (thinking of the case of having the update done by June 11 or 12 of 2010). I recall seeing dad's truck in the driveway with him working on it. Other than complaints about the computer thing, I don't recall anything else. I don't recall if I did get the computer or not.

Dream 5-178: Lost in the Mall of America with my sister

I vaguely recall this dream, outside bits of the scenery. In this dream, I'm visiting the Mall of America, though the place, in this dream, is more of an oversized department store, much like the Wal-mart Supercenter. I recall being separated from the others and I went to the back with my sister. Before entering, I recalled "Mall Cops" on TLC and thought I may be able to see them. After a visit to the clothing section and book section, we left. A skip in the dream occurs where I'm returning, focused on the elevator hidden behind clothes, but it was out of order as I couldn't get it to work.

Dream 5-179: Looking for 2 hills outside Dickenson

It's about 2 hours before sunrise for when this dream's story starts. I see my map of my home state and in the southwest corner, 20 miles south-southwest of Dickenson, there were 2 markings for hills on the map, drawn like the hills in Platform Masters. I head out riding in mom's van and, a minute later, realized I forgot the map and drinks. The road was empty - not a single car for miles. 2 hours in, it finally started to get brighter from sunrise. Near the end of the dream, I saw the sun rising and we finally encountered the first hills. I saw 6 cars close together, one, a limo, seemed to be going in reverse.

Dream 5-180: Self-serve car repair garages in a strange place

I'm driving my dad's truck with my dad as the passenger. I'm supposedly east or northeast of town near a few buildings. At first, things appear fine - I stop at red lights (considering that only stop signs are used in the real world part of this area), signal when turning or changing lanes, etc. Then, when a light was red, and I was the front most car, oddly, I couldn't stop as the brakes were oddly weak, almost nonfunctional. I ended up running the red light. A second or two before running the red light (no cars were coming on either side fortunately), the truck konks out. I was then able to stop. The truck wouldn't start and dad couldn't either.

Thus, with a self-repair center only a few dozen feet away, we pushed the truck there. My dad did all the repairs. I just mainly looked around. I saw an assortment of of tools - wrenches, that cross thing for unscrewing bolts for tire removal, a red tool chest, grinders, welders, an air hose, and various others. This all, except the air hose, was on the left - the air hose was in the back, furthest from the garage door. There were 2 or 3 "zones", for a max of 3 cars - we had the leftmost one. A car was in the middle with the right slot being unknown as to whether or not a car was present.

After a bit, I heard strange sounds that wasn't like any tool present. A bit later, I found the cause - a dragon-like monster walking and moving around on the roof of the adjacent car. It scared me so I ran. I soon returned a bit later - the dragon-like monster was otherwise harmless and not a threat.

With the garage inadequate for repairs, a more advanced car repair garage was needed - yep, we ended up having to push the truck about 300 to 400 feet to reach it. This garage was much more sophisticated and also much bigger. It seemed to the right solution. The dream ends about 3 minutes into the second garage's visit.
