What are your travel dreams?


Ever since my "mean teacher" went to the Bahamas when I was in the 7th grade or so, I've always been interested in travel since. This interest also sparked the birth of my mind game. Since probably around 2000 or so have I had the most travel-related dreams. These dreams, in general, have a lot to do with travel and vacations with little in the way of exploration.

Noteworthy dreams in this category:
5-6: Ideas from this dream were used in my story "The Legend of the 10 Elemental Masters".
5-11: I wished that this dream would recur as I liked it a lot.
5-19: This dream hinted at an event to occur just 5 days later. By then, one of my previous neighbor's dogs (the hunter) jumped the fence and killed one of my dogs.
5-20: This dream was featured in one of my stories.
5-26: A "teacher" I had in elementary school is mentioned here.
5-28: I've called my home town's planners and things to offer a suggestion involving this dream (except a much cheaper version than what my dream mentions).
5-30: This dream may go in the exploration category. It's also one of many dreams in a burst that featured my first ever trip into Canada (on Jun 20, 2005).
5-32: This dream likely occurred due to watching too much of a particular TV show.
5-37: This dream features a software crash with a cell phone, something I've never heard of happening at the time the dream occurred.
5-38: The dream features some getting stuck in a blizzard. Just a few days later, a major blizzard struck my area causing one of my family members to not be able to return home for a day.
5-48: A rather unusual way of obtaining small cash quickly was mentioned here.
5-49: I wished that this dream would recur as I liked it a lot.
5-52: The dream is very well-recalled in terms of the scenery, but almost no story is recalled, a rare combination.

Dream 5-131: Assisting movie production for a stunt with cars

This dream involves working with a movie production, a rarity in my dreams. There was a large hill extending to the ocean with a few weeds. The hill, for the most part, had a somewhat climbable 4:3 slope (37°) with a sudden change, for 3 feet, going to a 2:3 slope (56°). At the top of the 60-foot hill was a paved 2-lane road. Cars used in the movie/stunt as I was going up the hill, came from the right. The hill was mostly hard sand with an occasional piece of sandstone.

My special abilities allowed me to easily climb the hill. The first run involved a police car. The car chased me and I ran down the hill at almost 30 mph onto a dock. A police car or man waiting there was ready to grab me but missed. I jumped off the dock into the greenish-colored water below. The last 3 to 5 runs was where I merely coordinated the cars, running up the hill at 15 mph. Beyond the first round, I don't know the exact details. I only recall that the director informing me told me to avoid going through the 4-foot tall weeds spaced a foot apart on my dash up.

Dream 5-132: Leviburst for a photo

This dream can be split into 2 parts, both taking place at the exact same location. I'm in a small town of roughly 10,000 in a residential zone. I see a steep cliff that goes 150 feet up. Its average slope is 1:12, or 85° but a winding pathway about 2 feet wide provides easy access to the top as a near-constant 5:1 slope (11°). The top 15 feet had snow packs and boots with a pinwheel on the back helped with stability. At the top, I looked at the small town. There were several trees and little snow. An area 15° to the right when perpendicular with the slope facing the town was supposedly where an investigation was taking place. I wanted a photo to get evidence of a claim, but I wanted a better angle, more downward. Behind me were used and mostly unused fireworks, generally rockets and other light-emitting fireworks. They were of a medium size for consumer fireworks. There were a few small ones but no large ones (over 100 grams' powder is large). Wanting a better view, I used leviburst to slowly rise. As I rose higher, I watched my "background" bump - the mountains once every 3 seconds and the hills once every 3/4 second. A jump occurs in time, occurring after 30 seconds of climbing (roughly 130 feet) to where I'm about a half mile up. Everything was very small, too small. I didn't like it for the photo and I don't recall anything else.

Dream 5-133: Problematic guards at a restaurant party

I recall 2 main things. The first is that I'm in some medium-large city (~600,000 residents). There were a few 2-lane roads in the area I see, apparently alleyways. One building was the focus of the dream, some sort of restaurant. I don't recall what was going on in here, though I think that a party or festival was going on. As I entered, I saw 2 "guards" at the doors, one at each entrance. The guards had a cloth wrapped around their heads which looked sort of egg-shaped (the bottom 20% left out). They had robes. At first, all was fine though I vaguely recall it. This entrance area was blocked by the guards. I was told to go to the north exit to leave, a long ways away. I figured that I'd stay for now. This is a while into the dream where the entrance area was now a bar (65% certain) or a restaurant (35% certain), given the many tables with food, bottles, and other stuff on them. I didn't do much but look around.

In part 2, I cam back and asked if I could exit. I was to go to those distant doors again. I had a trick up my sleeve this time and I said that I didn't have to. The guards told me that I wasn't going to get through. I, instead, used insta-teleport to get outside. The guards spot me outside and get angry. They started to chase me so I readied insta-teleport and used it a half second before they reached me. I was on the roof of the nearby one-story building. It was misty out. The guards chased me using insta-teleport (which was slow) and I did the same. A chase occurred in insta-teleport mode. One tried to grab me as I was moving in insta-teleport mode, but can't as I'm in ghost mode. They soon gave up and the dream ended.

Dream 5-134: Farming area trip, long walk, and scenic photography

I vaguely recall this dream since I only wrote the major details down. All I recall is a large building with lots of hallways and a large room with lots of cords. I went on a trip to a farming area with cows and a 1-1/2-mile long walk on a narrow, shape-cut, snow-covered pathway. Snow-covered mountains and a city scene at the end of the dream were wonderful and I got pictures of these.

Dream 5-135: Driving around lost in London playing a handheld game

I vaguely recall this dream since I only wrote the major details down. All I recall is driving around while on a visit to the UK. We got lost in London's roads due to many curves. I had a handheld game and was thinking of Super Monkey Ball 2. I no further details. I have no recalled scenes either.

Dream 5-136: The lucky grape slushie sweepstakes win

I only recall the last few minutes. I'm in some building that resembles both a shop and an office building, mostly an office building. The main area has a few hallways and a few rooms here and there. There was a machine offering slushies and I wanted one, mainly because I was thirsty. It was around a dollar and I didn't have that much in cash. There was also a sweepstakes. I was in luck as I found a few coins then a dollar bill on the dark cyan-colored carpet. I put the money into the slushie machine and got a grape-flavored slushie. Not only did the cold slushie taste good, but I also noticed that I won something with the sweepstakes - whether $1000 or $10,000 I don't recall. The dream ended about 15 seconds later. I also recall going into an employees-only area (by permission) to call either home or parents. The area had white tiles and was bright.

Dream 5-137: Task meant searching in my "modified" middle school (elementary+mall)

I recall going to Erik Ramstad where the whole school was different. It resembled a mall and that of my elementary school combined. The classroom layout resembled my elementary school but the decorations and interior design resembled a mall with tables, plants, and lots of light and open space. I recall running around a lot in the somewhat crowed area (80 square feet to one human, on average). I was often going fast, near 10 mph. In some cases, I jumped to avoid the crowds. I was to do something though, but I don't recall what. I got lost on my way. I once encountered the library (at the far end) but quickly turned back knowing it wasn't where I needed to be. I also recall finding the gym which had an entrance the same as my elementary school had - a relatively narrow pathway (8 feet wide versus 30+) extending about 15 feet to the doors. I didn't find what I was after and I don't recall anything else.

Dream 5-138: Sleepy preparation for a swim in a restaurant's pool I couldn't find

This dream has 2 parts. Dad mentions that I could go swimming but I needed to prepare. I was almost ready to go, but was tired. I almost fell asleep 4 times. I recall a case where I got my swim suit out and dad handed me one. I told him I had one. I also thought I was going to the lake, even though it was April which meant the water would be almost frozen.

The second part was where I was at a restaurant, one that supposedly had a pool. The restaurant had mostly orange, yellow, and green tables and white floors. It was very well-lit though bright. I looked around and saw the pool entrance, but didn't think that that was it. I continued to look around looking for something that stuck out more as being for the "pool". My family, eating, didn't help either. The dream ended 5 minutes into the "search".

Dream 5-139: Tom and Jerry games, junk yard car repair, and a New Orleans restaurant visit

This dream has parts. The first part is where I got two packages in the mail while at home. One package was a yellow bubble-wrap-lined and contained a sample pen along with an NES game "Tom and Jerry 4". The other was in a smaller one of a near-white color and contained "Tom and Jerry 2" in it. I went at trying 4 and all I recall is a demo of a ski slope involved.

The second part is where I'm at a junk yard in an unknown location. Mom's van needed repair at one of the two garages meant for repairs. This took a while so I looked around the area. It was just after sunset as the sky was a bit dark and darkening. I don't recall any scenes from this part.

I soon came across a school where students were probably doing track meets. A group of 15 or so were running in formation along a fixed pathway. I recall speaking with one of them but details outside that are not recalled.

The fourth part is where I'm at a restaurant, supposedly in Louisiana. The interior had a lot of whitish yellow-orange light. We ate here. I recall having to go to the bathroom. I was cautious over mirrors as I entered. There's a strange 5-segment mirror that folds. I rotate one of them so I could get "across" to one of the toilets. After the bathroom visit, of which was lit with white lights, I saw mom feed standard playing cards into a machine that returned it and gave a sweepstakes certificate. As we left, I realized that I was actually in New Orleans and wanted to look around.

I recall carrying a lot of things in a bag - paper and pencils mostly. The dogs were involved, but were left in the car. The dream ended here.

Dream 5-140: Steep slopes in a race track while walking home from school

I'm walking home from school. I have a bunch of my drinks (in the fridge packs - light lemonades from Minute Maid) and my sister is with me. We walk through an area where houses are. We pass by 4 of them. A bit beyond them is some rack-track-like area. The track was dirt and I saw horses. I needed to head up a steep slope that I saw. The slope was almost 1:3 on average for it's X:Y slope, reaching 1:5 in some areas. There were a few at 2:3. Bringing my drinks up this was proving to be very difficult. I, instead, cast "move" on the drink boxes after climbing up without them. At the top, I saw a river that was kind of dirty (lots of dirt in it, and some plant litter on the surface). I move my drinks very well after the use of the move spell. I continue on but don't recall anything else. The other side of the river had a gentle 5:1 slope but my side had a steep 2:3 slope until a foot above the water level where levels out quickly to a fairly gentle 3:1 slope. I was tempted to go in the water, but lost it upon seeing how dirty it was.
