What are your travel dreams?
Ever since my "mean teacher" went to the Bahamas when I was in the 7th grade or so, I've always been interested in travel since. This interest also sparked the birth of my mind game. Since probably around 2000 or so have I had the most travel-related dreams. These dreams, in general, have a lot to do with travel and vacations with little in the way of exploration.
Noteworthy dreams in this category:
5-6: Ideas from this dream were used in my story "The Legend of the 10 Elemental Masters".
5-11: I wished that this dream would recur as I liked it a lot.
5-19: This dream hinted at an event to occur just 5 days later. By then, one of my previous neighbor's dogs (the hunter) jumped the fence and killed one of my dogs.
5-20: This dream was featured in one of my stories.
5-26: A "teacher" I had in elementary school is mentioned here.
5-28: I've called my home town's planners and things to offer a suggestion involving this dream (except a much cheaper version than what my dream mentions).
5-30: This dream may go in the exploration category. It's also one of many dreams in a burst that featured my first ever trip into Canada (on Jun 20, 2005).
5-32: This dream likely occurred due to watching too much of a particular TV show.
5-37: This dream features a software crash with a cell phone, something I've never heard of happening at the time the dream occurred.
5-38: The dream features some getting stuck in a blizzard. Just a few days later, a major blizzard struck my area causing one of my family members to not be able to return home for a day.
5-48: A rather unusual way of obtaining small cash quickly was mentioned here.
5-49: I wished that this dream would recur as I liked it a lot.
5-52: The dream is very well-recalled in terms of the scenery, but almost no story is recalled, a rare combination.
5-58: This dream still bothers me (as of Apr 10, 2007) whenever I go shopping.
5-61: This dream is liked a lot and I wished it would occur again.
5-71: This dream may belong in the "weird" category.
5-79: I found the last part of this dream quite bizarre and wished it would recur.

5-128: This dream has a great story and is probably the first that uses event undoing directly.
5-141: This dream is a high favorite with a compatibity of 200. It was stuck in my head for about a week afterwards.
5-144: This dream predicted numerous events fairly well (though indirectly as usual) in the Sep 13, 2008 vacation I had.
Dream 5-121: An out-of-place building and a gym class game

I vaguely recall this dream. It has 4 known parts. I'm riding in a vehicle on snow-covered roads with my parents in my home town. A strangely named store is spotted that doesn't fit in with the types of stores around it. The second part is where I'm outside my house in the carport ready to leave. I forgot a pet lizard and got it but had other difficulties I don't recall. Part 3 is a near-repeat of the first part except that we stopped at the strange building.
Part 4, the one best recalled, involves a gym class sports game. There were about 15 others here spread across an empty floor. One of them was named "Jessica". She was amazed about my 8-foot jumps. I otherwise don't recall anything else, not even what the game was.
Dream 5-122: Fighting ghosts in a haunted house

I recall 3 main parts though at least 4 exist. I'm with my family and we reach our destination - an old-looking house at the corner of 2 streets. The streets are 2-laned and the house had 2 floors to it. The outside is a dark grayish color (48 brightness). The house looked as if it was 150 or so years old and abandoned for 40. I enter the house with the others but I feel uneasy about it. We settle into rooms, all generally together. The thick carpet was a yellowish color and the walls were a dark color. Just then, I saw strange things going on not really noticed that well.
In the second part, playing in the lava in the original Metroid was involved but I vaguely recall it.
In part 3, I return to the house, this time with relatives. The ghosts went at their spooky stuff again, only, this time, I fought them with spells. I don't recall what spells or even the details. I do know this was in the hallway.
Dream 5-123: Gated off from bowling even with payment

I recall 3 parts. The first part I vaguely recall. At first, I'm outside riding in a car. The car was on a gravel road. The second part is where I'm in a mall-like school. I was to go to school about 45 minutes later. I saw an area for bowling and went to it. I recall a $2 feet that the game had. I took out something I was carrying, like a hat or clog bag, and paid the $2. Upon payment, I get a dark brownish red bowling ball around 15 pounds. I gather up my stuff again but find that the gates to the bowling lanes were closing. I couldn't make it into the bowling arena which had just 8 lanes. I look for an alternative route.
In part 3, just as I get to an alternative route, I see the gates opening. The gates go up to 10 feet above the ground and are almost white (224 brightness). They have a criss-crossing bunch of a rebar-like metal 1/8 inch in diameter. They were spaced about 1 1/2 inches apart. The gates sides were half inch thick and extended 4 inches from the outside inward with nothing but the rebar in the central area. As I see the gates rise, I head back to find them going back down again. The gates go about 8 inches per second or about 1/2 mph. I begin to return to the alternative route. I walk through the hallway, which had white 10-inch tiles, away from the bowling arena and enter a side door which was very dark. It is as dark as if nightlights of 7.5 watts was spaced 20 feet apart. While here, I head toward the area where the bowling was which is basically a U-turn. I find that I'm blocked by those same gates again. I ask someone how I get to the bowling arena and was told something I tried. I start heading back to the other known alternative route and 5 seconds later, the dream ended.
Dream 5-124: Vacation dog troubles at an ocean-side cave hotel

This dream has 3 parts. The first is where my parents (sister?) were on the first vacation in nearly a decade. We were at the top of a cliff adjacent to the ocean. We couldn't see the ocean as a cave-like system blocked our view. The first thing we did was to head down a series of ramps. They went 120 feet down. The ramps were mostly 3:1 (18.43°) to 5:3 (30.96°) slopes with 2:1 (26.57°) being the most common. We went down the ramps and when 50 feet above the ocean, I could see the very greenish-colored water. Along the way, I had my "background" visioned, mostly the mountains which "bump" every 14 2/3 feet and hills which "bump" every 1 5/6 feet. At the bottom, I could see the 1 1/2-inch waves and the 00FFA0 color very clearly (or ######). The bottom was a dark bluish-gray and a little tricky to see. I recall mom stepping onto a platform across a 2-foot gap then stepping into the water, which was 4 feet deep. I was tempted to go in myself but I needed to get my swim suit. I recall fishermen fishing from the docks within 15 feet above the water. I ran back up the ramp watching the ocean and small boats below "shrink" as I climb. I reach my "room" where I stayed but don't find it. I vaguely recall the details until I head back.
One event that I recall is where I saw my parents in the cave hotel's bed. They once asked how I liked the vacation. I don't recall the details of this part.
When I do head back, I see a dog and someone nearby. The dog jumps onto me, bites my left shoulder and latches on. I whacked the dog many times and it wouldn't let go. After many whacks, hard ones, it lets go but bites elsewhere and I repeat the whacking, going even harder. The supposed owner said it does that if it smells food. After the second round, the dog didn't latch on again. I use my insta-teleport ability to go home and get my swim suit. The ultra high-speed motion lasts 5 seconds both ways. I felt as if I went northwest to get home, hinting as if I was in Florida or something, but I can't tell.
After returning, I saw that dog and tried to think of a way around it. I tried but it happened again - the left shoulder. This time, I got very vigorous with it trying to hurt it and pry its jaws open. After that, it did the same with my nose and that one hurt. I got extremely violent with the dog prying its jaws to a 160° angle hurting it. Very hard whacks were used as well. 5 seconds after biting my nose, the dream ended. It's this part with the dog that causes the rather high scary rating.
Dream 5-125: An unusual teacher's store visit

I only recall the last part where I'm at a teacher's store, a rather unusual one. Inside, there are candies, kids' toys, educational and noneducational games, both computer and non-electronic, supplies for teachers, etc.. I recall, at the end, debating on whether or not I wanted something and if so, what to get. I went to 3 key areas. From the store's entrance, computer stuff was was directly to the left - computers and games were there. I saw console games that were not educational. Directly in front were candies in the distance, mainly mints, with kids' toys up close. There were 3 isles. The middle one contains teacher supplies - paper, rulers, protractors, etc.. The store was small at about 40x60 feet (60 feet back from the entrance). The kids' toys was the last place I looked at. I recall a football-like toy. There were 3 or so others with my group, but I don't recall anything about it.
Dream 5-126: Evil teacher school escape and missile dodging

This dream has 4 parts. I'm in a school. I don't recall the beginning that well, but I do recall walking across an orange-tiled floor with 12-inch square tiles. There were about 30 or so students here - 5 square yards per student average density. Along the way, I saw my "evil teacher", which starts part 2. She said "hi" and I hastily thought of an escape plan. I started to walk away. A bully followed and I started to run away. I dash through the empty back area and exit the building. I get a running start, jump 8 feet high, and start gliding. Both who were after me ran faster than I did so I focused on getting speed with gliding and making risky moves by slipping between trees. The trees had those sharp, pointed needles, sort of like pine trees, and they were typically about 50 feet tall. I was going 15 to 20 mph. When the others got beyond the trees, they launched a creme-white-colored missile about 12 inches long and had a max diameter of 2 inches in the center, nearly an ellipsoid in shape, but when it got close, I abruptly turned (turned as fast as the glide ability allows, a full circle in 4 seconds, even at 800 mph). It turned with me but not as fast so I used this opportunity for replenishing my height.
The third part is the same as the second, only, once I left, I stopped and charged up the speed blast, blasting off toward a clear path at nearly 550 mph. I quickly jumped, started a glide, and immediately pitched up to about 6000 feet then leveled out going about 400 mph. I watched the ground whiz by.
The third round of this, part 4, was a cross between the first and second rounds. Upon exitting, 2 missiles were launched and I had a bunch of speed. I kept much higher but a good speed making abrupt turns when any of the missiles got within a second of impacting into me.
Dream 5-127: Testing a custom-made airplane and a zoo visit

This dream has 3 main parts to it. I'm flying in a custom-made airplane around my home town area. The first two parts involve low-speed flying, about 50 mph. One landing area was a field near my home, another near a poorly-maintained road that I don't recall (roads even less maintained than gravel ones, of which have plants growing, plenty of potholes, and other things, often found in the most remote areas. The third test is where I test out a jet mode attachment. I vaguely recall these tests, especially the first two.
In the second part, I took 2 others with - my sister and one of her friends. After take off from my yard, I get a little height, about 120 feet, then activate jet mode. The aircraft went from 40 mph to about 200 to 250. I flew the plane east just above the tree tops for about 10 seconds then pitched up to 500 or so feet. The airplane was quite loud, but only about as loud as a standard pushed lawn mower from about 4 feet away, about the typical distance when mowing the grass, or around 90 dB to be more precise (a typical jet engine would get around 130 to 150 dB for comparison). Without the jet attachment, the plane was only about 60 dB, about that of a typical conversation spaced 3 feet apart. I recall entering a zoo-like area. I disabled jet mode and flew at the familiar 40 mph. I saw a series of small planes taking off. I land near here in the dirt. It was near the airport. As with other landings, I turned the throttle the wrong way, going to the "very low" setting instead of "off". From the 7 o-clock position going clockwise to the 5 o-clock position, the throttle settings, equally spaced apart, were "very low", "low", "medium", "high", "medium", "low", then "off". The "high" setting is at the 12 o-clock position and usually had the needle halfway between the 11 and 12, if I recall.
I head into the zoo, a corridor lined with rather small cages taking a 10x12-foot area, and were typically about 12 feet high, often laid with straw. I got the animal I was after, something resembling a horse or a cow. I walked back afterwards. I don't recall the details until the point where I'm getting set to take off, and I didn't have the animal with me.
Dream 5-128: Restaurant cinnamon roll mayhem

This dream with a great story has 3 main parts to it. My family eats out with me and I see cinnamon rolls and cinnamon bread being frosted. Since I hate frosted cinnamon rolls, I asked if I could have some without the frosting. They were on a conveyor belt. On the other side of a chamber, workers frosted them. I asked if I could have some without the frosting, but they do nothing but continue frosting them, as if they never heard me. The restaurant had a medium-dark bluish carpet, and was somewhat dimly lit, as if by 40-watt bulbs.
When I ordered, I requested unfrosted cinnamon rolls along with a few other things. When the food came, all but the cinnamon rolls came and I complained about that. After making this complaint, I saw a Hawaiian native asking about salt consumption and that it was unwise and consuming salt would hurt the planet. I found this part very weird. I mentioned that I use very little. After this, and a while later, they still didn't come with the cinnamon rolls I ordered so I went up to the counter to complain and I continued doing so getting more and more extreme and louder until I gave up where everyone was looking at me. I found my family gone and I knew I had to glide home, but I had another method - undoing events with repeated uses of the undo spell. By undoing the events, I could travel down another event path and, hopefully, get a different result so I could get the cinnamon rolls.
I undo twice to the scene where I ate. I undid a few more events and got back to where I first saw the cinnamon rolls being frosted. Two more undos and I'm back at home. I then head down a different path of events and the events almost repeat, but there were some slight differences. When I arrived at the restaurant, I, again, saw the cinnamon rolls being frosted and again, I ask for an unfrosted one and this time, I actually got one (the cinnamon bread though) and ate it at the table. I asked for a cinnamon roll and, again, I got that too and the one who handed it over said that it would be on my bill and I said that I wouldn't mind. The Hawaiian native wasn't involved in the second time around.
Dream 5-129: The canyon village small plane crash

I'm in a mountainous area with only dry rock and hardly any vegetation. The rock is yellowish and brownish. There's a village here with 20 or so residents. I watch a small airplane with rather large wings spiral downward and crash and when it crashes into a mountain side almost a half mile away. There's a 9-foot ledge in my way and I attempt to climb it. I couldn't so I went around it but saw the same thing. Another attempt failed. I went around it and headed for the canyon, jumped up and started gliding, first the opposite direction to get speed then I pitched up and turned around and went straight for the crash site. The dream ended only 15 seconds after heading back going almost 100 mph. The canyon is very deep and steep, extending close to about 600 feet downward from the main area I was at.
Dream 5-130: Bingo mayhem and a casino chase

I paid $647 for a game I couldn't draw the board for. I gave up after 7 games. A low-weight small female next to me taunted me about my ability to draw squares. I had a bunch of wavy lines and curves and I couldn't get it to come out right each time. I kept going with a 5x5 block design, even 25x25 when 5x6 is what I needed. After having given up, I decided to escape from the casino. Some staff member caught up to me. I mainly used the flash attack for speed but but the staff member caught me. I used the flash attack 5 or so times to escape then physically attacking the staff member, of which worked when I whacked the nose. I fled the area out the back.
It was night and the back area was well-lit and colorful. That staff member returned and I immediately jumped and used the flash attack upwards toward a display that looked like a roulette wheel. This was a circular area 2 feet in diameter. The wheel itself is roughly 8 feet in diameter. I land on the top part overshooting it by 40 feet (going 80 mph per second) upwards (making it 75 feet to the top). Because it was a spring and as stable as a bobblehead doll, I had a hard time keeping balance, once going to a 40° offset where I just jumped off. With that staff member ready to catch me, I saw a horizontal ladder above and jumped toward it immediately using the flash attack for extra height. That ladder was 200 feet up (190 to 200). I grabbed on and looked at the small casino floor below. Above me was a dark sky. I wasn't high enough to see over the 250-300-foot rooftops. The dream ended after 5 seconds of being up here.
