What are your travel dreams?


Ever since my "mean teacher" went to the Bahamas when I was in the 7th grade or so, I've always been interested in travel since. This interest also sparked the birth of my mind game. Since probably around 2000 or so have I had the most travel-related dreams. These dreams, in general, have a lot to do with travel and vacations with little in the way of exploration.

Noteworthy dreams in this category:
5-6: Ideas from this dream were used in my story "The Legend of the 10 Elemental Masters".
5-11: I wished that this dream would recur as I liked it a lot.
5-19: This dream hinted at an event to occur just 5 days later. By then, one of my previous neighbor's dogs (the hunter) jumped the fence and killed one of my dogs.
5-20: This dream was featured in one of my stories.
5-26: A "teacher" I had in elementary school is mentioned here.
5-28: I've called my home town's planners and things to offer a suggestion involving this dream (except a much cheaper version than what my dream mentions).
5-30: This dream may go in the exploration category. It's also one of many dreams in a burst that featured my first ever trip into Canada (on Jun 20, 2005).
5-32: This dream likely occurred due to watching too much of a particular TV show.
5-37: This dream features a software crash with a cell phone, something I've never heard of happening at the time the dream occurred.
5-38: The dream features some getting stuck in a blizzard. Just a few days later, a major blizzard struck my area causing one of my family members to not be able to return home for a day.
5-48: A rather unusual way of obtaining small cash quickly was mentioned here.
5-49: I wished that this dream would recur as I liked it a lot.
5-52: The dream is very well-recalled in terms of the scenery, but almost no story is recalled, a rare combination.
5-58: This dream still bothers me (as of Apr 10, 2007) whenever I go shopping.
5-61: This dream is liked a lot and I wished it would occur again.
5-71: This dream may belong in the "weird" category.
5-79: I found the last part of this dream quite bizarre and wished it would recur.
5-82: This strongly mimics something I do in my mind game a lot and wished more of such dreams would occur.
5-88: This dream features an inventor with a strange way of gaining lift.
5-93: I wished this dream would recur and be extended.
5-103: Despite being vaguely recalled, this dream is an oddball in that the feelings are well-recalled compared to anything else bumping the dream's in-tact rating above the scenery and story in-tact ratings, well above.
5-118: This dream has an unusually high nature rating compared to the rest - it stuck in my mind for a few days.
5-128: This dream has a great story and is probably the first that uses event undoing directly.
5-141: This dream is a high favorite with a compatibity of 200. It was stuck in my head for about a week afterwards.
5-144: This dream predicted numerous events fairly well (though indirectly as usual) in the Sep 13, 2008 vacation I had.

Dream 5-111: A road trip with mom and an unexpected test for mom

I only recall the last 15 minutes. I'm in a city of sky scrapers (up to 40 stories). I recall stopping to order food and drink, likely a pizza but don't recall for sure. The next stop was a 20-story building. I saw uite a few fully decorated 5 to 7-foot Christmas trees fully decorated (mostly with red and white balls and long, thin, silver-colored pieces simulating icicles. Mom was to take a test and I waited about 6 minutes. She needed to do every floor and knew this would take too long. I was despirate to eating and drinking the stuff I just got. I soon escaped using my insta-teleport ability. I returned to the car and the dream ended. Another scene I recall is where I'm at a department store in the parking lot. Stuff was being loaded into the back of the van. This is just a recalled scene and I'm not sure where in the story line it's at.

Dream 5-112: Riding an the 18-wheeler and capturing a criminal

There are 3 parts. The first is where I'm riding in an 18-wheeler. Something happens that causes me to have to steer it. At first, it goes okay, but then, once I get into curves, I start losing control and 20 seconds later, skid and crash into the ditch. I think there was a police investigation before the first part ended.

The second part is my favorite. I leave my house to go with 4 others on a trip to some area far to the east, like 1000 miles. There were 2 very tall females and 2 males (all about 6 1/2 feet) in the minivan. I recall seeing a map of the US's north central area (from North Dakota to Michigan on the west-east span and North Dakota to Nebraska on the north-south span. A line was drawn from Minot, ND to somewhere in eastern Wisconsin, a 100° bearing. A few dots marked key stop locations. One of them was around 80 or so miles east of Minot.

We stopped at some strange restaurant. I recall going in and seeing a surprisingly short menu - like 12 items. Normally, I'd have expected 30 or more. They had strange fruits. One was a series of balls that looked like fish eggs only an inch in diameter that formed a spherical-like thing 3 1/2 inches in diameter having about 11 or so here. I found it scary-looking. It was orange and they had a red one too. I got an apple instead.

We returned to the minivan. I was in the back. The female in the front passenger seat spotted a very suspicious man with a gun approaching us. He was actually after me so I had ready to ambush. I opened the latch to open the back then got out quickly grabbing his gun first thing. I took it away from him, picked him up, then carried him into the store to call the police. I carried his gun with. The dream ended 10 seconds after entering the store.

Dream 5-113: Grocery store checkout money problem

I mainly recall the last 3 minutes. I'm at the checkout of a grocery store and I pay by check. I check my totals and notice that my check would bounce. I wanted to redo everything. I redid the checkout, after getting the others I was with to return. 15 seconds after starting again, the dream ended. In earlier scenes, I recall weird things going on, but don't recall what. It's only recalled story as I have no scenes before the checkout part. The total came out to $188-something and I only had $160-something.

Dream 5-114: Searching a building for 4 lost babies

I only recall the last 5 minutes. I'm in a tall building with bright-colored floors, walls, and stairs. I recall at least 3 floors present. The main thing I recall is searching for 4 lost babies. I found the first 3 in only a minute, 2 were together. The last one I couldn't find though I found a piece of paper with an odd phone number on it. The last 7 were "911-1111" and I think the area code mentioned was 712 though I'm only 60% certain. I looked it up in a reverse phone book to get the address so I can find it on a map. I asked for the phone book for the area code and mentioned of needing the address. The dream ended shortly after looking it up.

Dream 5-115: Battling evil and a spirit in a restaurant with spells

I recall the end only. Like some past dreams, I'm riding in a car in a vast open area headed to some far off area. I stopped at some restaurant along the highway. There were about 40 or so here but I could tell something wasn't right. They all looked at me with a mean-looking face. I, at first, didn't think much about it and attempted to order food. The trouble then hit when I checked my mind radar map. I saw lots of red and dark red dots on it with one almost black (at 400000). I began to cast a powerful spell and the spirit was hardly affected. I tried a tougher version of it and all but the blackish red one were taken out. I don't recall what the spell was. It got very upset and I started another spell but cancelled it as I thought of a better one - eradicate. That worked just as I was about to get struck. I left the building without anything and the dream ended when I reached the doors.

Dream 5-116: Trips to areas around the world and a few troubles

I only recall bits and pieces of this dream. Throughout the dream, my parents were going to different places around the world. I got to go with on 3 of 5 places. Austria was the third I believe. I went on the first, third, and fourth trips. On the fourth trip, I recall being pushed along in a shopping card while I was in a pool of something gooey like mud. The one for Austria involved a dirt roadway and a guard house. I was trying to catch up with the familiy and I recall an 8-foot jump and the flash attack mostly straight up with a 40 mph boost. I was about 70 feet up at the top and landed in the vehicle before getting to the guard house. Along the way for each place, I was always eager to bring along and grab my story, often hiding it. It was in one of those flexible containers that I used to write stories in. I otherwise don't recall much.

Dream 5-117: Fleeing from a bad guy in a rainy shopping district

I only recall major details and very little of the scenery for this dream. A bad guy is after me in a shopping district where many buildings are close together. I recall using insta-teleport. At first, things were okay, but something happened to cause me to need to hide. Whenever I got cornered, I used insta-teleport to get into other areas, even through walls. Later on, I used it whenever I spotted which was quite frequently. I once went into another building where, while insta-teleporting, I saw it raining. It was daylight but things were very dark due to the heavy rain. I recall a scene where I went through a wall and saw everything as pitch black. Insta-teleport here only gave me a speed of about 80 mph.

Dream 5-118: Glide-hops for long glides, goop in a garage, and a trip to Miami without believing it

There are 5 parts to this well-liked dream (note the 320 nature rating). In the first part, I'm messing around near the front porch. My mom tells me to go to the North Pole. I jump, aim the flash attack down over the edge of the porch and successfully do a glide-hop (I bounce back up with normal gravity but in a glide). I glide toward the south thinking of Antarctica. While gliding around, a common theme in my dreams, avoiding powerlines by repeatedly pitching up and down. In part 2, it's night and I repeat the stunt with the porch only I don't recall where I went.

In the third part, I was visiting a garage. There's a pool of black goop 10 inches deep that sort of looked like oil, thick oil. The garage was huge at about 100x120 feet. I recall doing something near the goop that I don't recall and faked accidentally stepping in the goop. It was quite slippery though it feld kind of weird and squishy. I don't recall it, but, I think I was once gliding away from here out into the city, my home town I believe.

The fourth part starts the best part of the dream which, from here on, is entirely during the night. I go with someone on a plane headed for Miami. This is one of those large airplanes you see with airlines. While in mid-flight, I watched over an altimeter display on a screen. I recall 20-some thousand feet as the read-out in analog form (the kind with 3 hands, one for 100's of feet, another for 1000's and a third for 10,000's). I never looked out the window until just about to land. At 2300-some feet, I saw an airport coming up in the distance. When near the ground, I saw some high-rise buildings. I couldn't tell if it really was Miami or not. Aside from the high-rise buildings, nothing looked any different.

Part 5 is where I'm riding in a car to a hotel. I saw lots of buildings from 5 to 15 floors high and a few traffic lights. I thought I was back at my home town. A sign on a building had a bunch of 5-letter words on a yellow background with "Miami" being in the bottom left corner. I still wasn't convinced I was actually there. I stopped at a parking lot of a hotel and 3 seconds after parking, I had thoughts of using the flash attack for lots of height. The dream ended before I did.

Dream 5-119: Grocery shopping troubles and an unwanted meeting

I'm out doing my stuff for grocery shopping. I had to do so quite badly but my parents had a lot going on. I don't recall well, but one was nearly finished when I had no progress. I was with mom who had a meeting in a short time. I did manage to get what I needed, but, at the checkouts, a common theme of my dreams occurred - lots and mistakes and difficulties writing the check. I was otherwise using the last of what I had for available funds. I went to mom's meeting with her and I mainly just listened without saying anything. I don't recall what it was about or anything. The area looked sort of like a restaurant given the table and chair arrangements.

Dream 5-120: Tom's garage, failed river swim, and a bully in church

There are 4 known parts. The first 2 are vaguely recalled. In the first part, I met someone named "Tom" who fixed cars and things in a rar repair shop/garage. I was to meet him again. In part 2, I was walking through the grass and small hills to reach Tom's garage. The hills have a 10-foot vertical span, and about a 6:1 (9.5°) slope at the steepest. When I entered Tom's garage, I surprised him. He mentioned of a river and meeting there with a few others. I agreed. The river looked clear with a small current. It was only 15 feet wide.

I wanted to swim in it, part 3, but I delayed asking for a bit. I saw a few horses grazing and I spoke with Tom and the 5 or so others here. After about 3 minutes, I asked if I could go swim in the river and was told not to. I ran away to a small empty office building that was only 5x5 feet and cluttered with papers. The building had clear windowed and a bench about a foot out from the wall. There wasn't any chair or seat in here.

Part 4 is where I enter a barn that functions and looks like a church. I had a seat near the front, but next to a bully. They served drinks resembling powerade. I got the yellow lemon-lime flavor and after I sat down, I drank it in 10 seconds. The one next to me bullied me. He threw an egg, a bottle, and something else at me. He also bothered me and said things just to annoy me. I filed a complaint with the staff and the dream ended 30 seconds into this.
