What are your travel dreams?
Ever since my "mean teacher" went to the Bahamas when I was in the 7th grade or so, I've always been interested in travel since. This interest also sparked the birth of my mind game. Since probably around 2000 or so have I had the most travel-related dreams. These dreams, in general, have a lot to do with travel and vacations with little in the way of exploration.
Noteworthy dreams in this category:
5-6: Ideas from this dream were used in my story "The Legend of the 10 Elemental Masters".
5-11: I wished that this dream would recur as I liked it a lot.
5-19: This dream hinted at an event to occur just 5 days later. By then, one of my previous neighbor's dogs (the hunter) jumped the fence and killed one of my dogs.
5-20: This dream was featured in one of my stories.
5-26: A "teacher" I had in elementary school is mentioned here.
5-28: I've called my home town's planners and things to offer a suggestion involving this dream (except a much cheaper version than what my dream mentions).
5-30: This dream may go in the exploration category. It's also one of many dreams in a burst that featured my first ever trip into Canada (on Jun 20, 2005).
5-32: This dream likely occurred due to watching too much of a particular TV show.
5-37: This dream features a software crash with a cell phone, something I've never heard of happening at the time the dream occurred.
5-38: The dream features some getting stuck in a blizzard. Just a few days later, a major blizzard struck my area causing one of my family members to not be able to return home for a day.
5-48: A rather unusual way of obtaining small cash quickly was mentioned here.
5-49: I wished that this dream would recur as I liked it a lot.
5-52: The dream is very well-recalled in terms of the scenery, but almost no story is recalled, a rare combination.
5-58: This dream still bothers me (as of Apr 10, 2007) whenever I go shopping.

5-128: This dream has a great story and is probably the first that uses event undoing directly.
5-141: This dream is a high favorite with a compatibity of 200. It was stuck in my head for about a week afterwards.
5-144: This dream predicted numerous events fairly well (though indirectly as usual) in the Sep 13, 2008 vacation I had.
Dream 5-91: The open-air desert school

The first part in this part dream involves school. The school was an open-air one where the wind could blow through the building as there were only a few supports and no major walls. It was out in the desert as there was a lot of sand around. Around this big building, spanning about 100 feet long by 60 feet wide and about 8 feet from floor to ceiling, were 4 smaller ones. The building's roof looks like that of old eastern world (Chinese or Japanese for example) houses with the curved shape and curved roof shingles. Here, I'm reading something and answering 9 comprehension questions. There were 7 in the A group and 2 in the B group covering the top 2/3 of the page. I answered the first 7 questions but made a mistake where I answered 2 of the A-group questions of the next section instead of the 2 B-group ones. When the teacher came, she marked 2 wrong ones in the A group but was confused about how I did the other 2 questions. She explained how I needed to do it. By then, class (and school) was over and the sky was getting dark.
In the second part, I was watching the clouds as it suddenly got dark. I found out what direction it came from and watched as a storm was brewing. Shortly after, it began to rain and quickly intensified. I watched the clouds, ran to the other side of the building 60 feet away, and checked the clouds. I saw blue sky about 18° up with bright white clouds closer to the horizon. Overhead were dark clouds. I returned to where I was earlier but didn't see any clearing as a hill was blocking my way. I looked up to check for underbellies, a sign of severe weather, but only small lumps were present. A minute later, the clouds where I remained standing cleared out and the rain stopped. Only four minutes went by.
The third part is where some kid wanted me to get a movie. I, earlier, checked the movies area and looked around. There were TV's in this small 8x8-foot room and shelves extending 4 feet up with movies filling up 95% of the slots (an occasional one here and there were missing). About 40 VHS tapes filled the shelves per column and there were about 50 columns making roughly 2000 slots for these VHS tapes. The kid, who was about 8, wanted some Homeward Bound movie. I used insta-teleport to get to a building 150 feet away from where I first checked the clouds in part 2. There were only VHS tapes here, no DVD's. I found 2 Homeward Bound movies, the original and the third. The one the kid wanted was not present. I returned to tell him and he got upset. I asked if he wanted to look himself. I used my insta-teleport ability with him and got him there. He looked around and 10 seconds later, the dream ended.
Dream 5-92: Reckless driving to the bank and lakes

This dream has 2 recalled parts, the last half being recalled. The first involves mom driving her van very dangerously. She makes sharp turns at over 20 mph and seems extremely late. She deliberately goes across 2 ditches to take a shortcut and at the second one, crossing 4 lanes of traffic, making a hard left at almost 30 mph. I saw a big truck coming and I was worried it'd hit us. We sped up enough to avoid it and things returned to normal for a bit. When the bank came, she returned to the dangerous driving by making many high-speed turns. Seemingly impatient, and since a line was present, she made a loop around the area and in one area where a car was, the car pulled out just as we left the loop. We came around and slipped into this area. We did what we were after then left for a picnic area near a triple-lake system (or an area surrounded by 3 lakes).
Part 2 takes place in this area. The car club was supposedly involved and it was also for a vacation, "the first in 7 years" as I recalled saying. Upon arriving, our pet opossum (ferret?), was involved with caring for baby dogs. The opossum liked belly rubs. I saw jet skis on the water. The lakes were fairly small at 3/4 square mile for the largest one, and half of a square mile for the other two. Along the shores were squishy sand and a few plants - grass, flowers, and, rarely, something I couldn't touch at all when barefoot. I think it was cacti. I didn't have my swimsuit so mom gave me a temporary one. It didn't look like one at all. Instead of something like shorts, it was between shorts and pants and without the things a swimsuit has. I had a trick of my own though: using insta-teleport. I used it to zip around - to the house and back within about 5 seconds. I placed my swimsuit in someone else's luggage.
Dream 5-93: Packing up for a solo flight

This is one of those dreams where I forget it upon waking up but recall it again a few days later. As a result, I only recall a few bits and pieces of it, mostly the last 5 to 10 minute of it. I was supposedly going to be going on a flight to some location (don't recall) on an airline. I had my bags packed, but my parents didn't want me to go alone. I told them that I'll be all right. After about a minute or so off driving toward the airport, the dream ended before even seeing any airplanes. I was in my own home and home town. I don't recall anything else about it.
Dream 5-94: Huge tornado and a big blizzard with an escape

I recall just 2 small parts. The first involves a very wide tornado around a quarter mile. The tornado was heading toward a medium-sized city. I recall my mom driving a vehicle to a very low area along lots of 4:1 slops. We entered a building. All I recall here was being in a small room with a small table and a 400-page book. I have no recalled scenes, but know of the tornado and the objects.
The second part was where I was at home and a major blizzard was going on. There was blowing and falling snow and 30 mph winds. Something happened in the house that I don't recall that led me to escape from it and head out into the blizzard conditions. I was not affected by the cold even though I wasn't properly dressed for it (i.e. no coat). I recall gliding into the wind. When my neighbor was coming, of which I thought he or she was trying to catch me, I pitched up to get out of reach. The dream ended 4 seconds later, about the time I was over the road going about 15 mph. The visibility was a very small 100 feet and it was dusk as it was quite dark, about that of city streets just outside town at 1:00 AM. It's this blizzard scene that has a big impact on the scenery rating as it looked quite pretty, even with the very low visibility.
Dream 5-95: Campground and high-speed gliding

I recall only two parts to this dream. I'm supposedly in a campground in a near-open area. There's only the occasional line of trees. One area, that I was near, had a river about 25 feet wide but with no visible currents. There were some small hills near my camp area, rising and falling about 20 feet. The first part was where I was gliding around at high speed, to like 150 to 200 mph. I recall gliding alongside the river 30 feet above the ground on the side nearest to my camp area. The second part was where I was packing weird objects into coolers. With that done, I was mentioning to kids about FF6. I don't recall much other than saying I was at level 50 and I've completed the game. Seconds later, the dream ended.
Dream 5-96: Intense rain and a building on a cliff

I only recall bits and pieces of this dream, mostly the scenery. I recall very dark storm clouds and high intensity rain. I don't recall where I was but most of my certainty leans toward being on a cliff. It was outdoors for sure, but I recall seeking shelter and that a tall being that was 8 stories tall was involved. The area was being flooded and the rain lasted a very long time.
Dream 5-97: Same 3 dogs in different houses, and getting high in Bubsy's forest world

This dream has two parts. The first is where I'm checking out houses. We enter one but see 3 dogs chasing us and we close the door before they attack as they seem to be doing. I saw the police nearby and I cast my teleport spell to retreat. A bit later in the dream, I'm in another area and do the same thing. I enter a house, different from before, and see the same 3 dogs in the same relative position. They were about 30, 40, and 45 pounds judging by their size relative to my dogs with known weights. I closed the door before they came. One dog had black fur with a few white or light gray spots. The other 2 I don't recall what they looked like. The police snuck upon us this time and I had to quickly cast teleport to escape. Upon execution, the world was viewed from about 120 miles above looking straight down and rotating so that the area I was at was exactly in the center. State and country borders were visible as very deep chasms. State borders were half as thin as country borders. I went southwest toward Colorado taking barely 2 seconds to get there. This is all I recall for part 1.
The second part involved playing Bubsy in the forest world. The graphics used 16-bit color and were much more enhanced. I recall wanting to get up high. I get up to a tree branch but get hit losing a life leaving me with no extras. I get back to where I was and save the game. I then go at what I was doing - using the cheese wheels to get up very high. I only used one cheese wheel before the dream ended, 15 seconds after saving to the second of three slots (all empty).
Dream 5-98: The crowded picnic and video game store without spare change

There are 3 parts. I vaguely recall the first two parts. The first is where I'm riding in a vehicle with my family to go to a picnic. The area was very crowded. There were about 150 or so here. There were fairly lengthy lines. Around this scene, I recall being about 5 to 60 feet above the ground, but no idea how I got there. The picnic area was in the back yard of a house that had many large, tall trees.
Part 2 is where I'm playing a Felix or Mario game on the NES. I don't recall which, but I'm 80% certain, judging by recalled scenes, that it was a Mario game. There were a lot of icons and grabbing ten gave an extra life. I went through an area with 7 icons and an extra life at least 3 times.
The last part is a bit bizarre. I'm at a store that sells video games. The store had very few items available in it and looked like it was either going out of business or it was moving. There were very dark gray-colored shelves (or about 202010 or ######) lining the brilliant red walls (or about FF0000 or ######) and another pair of shelves divided the center of the area. The carpet was a dark blue-gray color. The cashier was mentioning of not having much cash in the register and someone was supposed to deliver more but was late. I went shopping for games. I recall a Gamecube game where you played as a fireball that explores various cave systems and water was shown very poor-looking for it's day (like that of the original Spyro on the PS1). The fireball was in the shape of a human but 60% larger on all sides (like 9 to 10 feet tall). I also saw a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game for the PS1. I wanted the turtles game. It was paid for but problems were present in giving change. I found pennies on the floor of the near-empty area and I dashed for them. I went toward them first jumping up in the air then bursting toward them at 20 mph grabbing the coin while in a dive. I first found 3 pennies then a nickle. A pause occurred then I saw a brilliant blue object on the floor. It was a dime. I homed in on it in the same way as I did the pennies. I found a quarter then a half-dollar shortly after. I recall saying "I found something hyperrare" or the like. I'm 100% certain on the usage of "hyperrare". I show my mom the half dollar. The dream ends here. I recall the cost as being $130 (probably even $1300). At the end of the dream, the shelves were completely empty and the center area was left out giving a bare floor. There were several small rocks in the carpet around 5 cubic millimeters in size at the very largest, but 2 on average.
Dream 5-99: The 701 console, sleeping with dad, and an airplane going above power lines

This dream has 3 parts. The first is where my sister brings up a new console system - the 701. It was from Nintendo and had a SNES/N64 cartridge slot and a CD reader that was compatible to the Gamecube era at the latest. I vaguely recall this part. All I do recall is that the console system was very large, just over 2 square feet, and that it had the cartridge insert in the bottom left (closest to you) and the CD reader was to the top right. The console itself was black with white being used for logos. There was one or two other things, besides logos, on this console, but that's all I recall.
The second part is even less recalled. I only recall sleeping with my dad in a house that wasn't my own. There was something odd (probably the alarm) but don't know what. In my only scene, I'm getting out of bed and a clock shows 9:0? (I don't recall the 1's digit). The clock had bright red digits.
The third part is the best recalled. I'm in a small open-air airplane that only goes 80 mph (cruising speed). I was on my dad's shoulders while he flew it. We were over a 2-lane road surrounded by large fields of some tall plant. Lining the road were powerlines and the frequently crossed over the road. The scenario plays 3 times with small variations in each. All 3 involved trying to get above the power lines. The first run is where there was quite a bit of traffic. We took off and tried 3 or 4 times to get above the power lines. We made it and were so close to touching them. The second round had huge 10-foot browned corn plants. We never got above the power lines here. The third round involved lots of traffic as if rush hour. We had a hard time taking off. We lifted up just in time and looked for a clearance in the power lines. We slipped through but hit one causing me to get an electric shock and the dream ended just a half second upon impact. This part was very scary and it woke me up.
Dream 5-100: The hostile alien rampage

At the start, I'm in town with my sister. We go shopping. We ran into an alien. The aliens were 4 to 6 feet tall, had a glass helmet on that had a 1-foot diameter, and a grayish green skin. They were hostile and very powerful. My instateleport ability helped us escape. I recall going into a few stores and occasional driving. As the dream continued, we ran into more and more aliens and their density was increasing. At one point, the density was one alien every 50 square feet. Late in the dream, we were surrounded. I used my insta-teleport ability to escape but kept getting surrounded. I decided to flee to Antarctica and when I got there, there was only snow around. No aliens were here. I had my sister with as well. I began casting an extremely powerful spell that would eradicate all aliens, but it took a long time to cast it. After 30 seconds, the spell was used and was successful. I used instateleport to return home and found no aliens anywhere. The town was damaged and everyone was okay as far as I could tell. This is all I recall.
