What are your travel dreams?
Ever since my "mean teacher" went to the Bahamas when I was in the 7th grade or so, I've always been interested in travel since. This interest also sparked the birth of my mind game. Since probably around 2000 or so have I had the most travel-related dreams. These dreams, in general, have a lot to do with travel and vacations with little in the way of exploration.
Noteworthy dreams in this category:
5-6: Ideas from this dream were used in my story "The Legend of the 10 Elemental Masters".
5-11: I wished that this dream would recur as I liked it a lot.
5-19: This dream hinted at an event to occur just 5 days later. By then, one of my previous neighbor's dogs (the hunter) jumped the fence and killed one of my dogs.
5-20: This dream was featured in one of my stories.
5-26: A "teacher" I had in elementary school is mentioned here.
5-28: I've called my home town's planners and things to offer a suggestion involving this dream (except a much cheaper version than what my dream mentions).
5-30: This dream may go in the exploration category. It's also one of many dreams in a burst that featured my first ever trip into Canada (on Jun 20, 2005).
5-32: This dream likely occurred due to watching too much of a particular TV show.
5-37: This dream features a software crash with a cell phone, something I've never heard of happening at the time the dream occurred.
5-38: The dream features some getting stuck in a blizzard. Just a few days later, a major blizzard struck my area causing one of my family members to not be able to return home for a day.
5-48: A rather unusual way of obtaining small cash quickly was mentioned here.
5-49: I wished that this dream would recur as I liked it a lot.
5-52: The dream is very well-recalled in terms of the scenery, but almost no story is recalled, a rare combination.
5-58: This dream still bothers me (as of Apr 10, 2007) whenever I go shopping.
5-61: This dream is liked a lot and I wished it would occur again.
5-71: This dream may belong in the "weird" category.
5-79: I found the last part of this dream quite bizarre and wished it would recur.
5-82: This strongly mimics something I do in my mind game a lot and wished more of such dreams would occur.
5-88: This dream features an inventor with a strange way of gaining lift.
5-93: I wished this dream would recur and be extended.
5-103: Despite being vaguely recalled, this dream is an oddball in that the feelings are well-recalled compared to anything else bumping the dream's in-tact rating above the scenery and story in-tact ratings, well above.
5-118: This dream has an unusually high nature rating compared to the rest - it stuck in my mind for a few days.
5-128: This dream has a great story and is probably the first that uses event undoing directly.
5-141: This dream is a high favorite with a compatibity of 200. It was stuck in my head for about a week afterwards.
5-144: This dream predicted numerous events fairly well (though indirectly as usual) in the Sep 13, 2008 vacation I had.
Dream 5-71: Restaurant mishap and clouds as tables

Supposedly, all of my family (aunts, uncles, nephews, grandfathers, etc.) were together, about 20 members. We all visitted a restaurant. I have nothing recalled from the entry or ordering parts. At the start from what I do recall, the food was just about to start being delivered. I was waiting for my pizza. After some time, everyone had their food except me. Everyone ate except me because I didn't get what I ordered or even any food at that. I recall someone of the staff telling me from 150 feet away that there was a mistake with the pizza and that I couldn't use napkins to degrease it. That meant using my hands to degrease it, getting it all over my clothes, or not eating at all. I got upset about it. Everyone was done eating except me where I haven't even received my food yet. My family was getting close to leaving. I went up to the counter and asked why my pizza was taking so long. They told me a mistake was made and they had to make another. I recall getting it, but don't recall anything after it.
The restaurant had a brown-colored carpet. The walls were a medium-light gray and the tables had a wood texture painted on it. The table was made of corkboard or some light-weight material like corkboard, but covered with thin sheets of something else on top. It was something like 40 feet long by only 6 feet wide.
The second part occurred right after the restaurant episode. This is the weird part. Outside, there were strange clouds functioning like tables but humans could ride. The clouds hovered over the landscape and could be controlled. There were at least 3 of these. There were thunderstorms going on overhead where I would see lightning strikes jumping from cloud to cloud. I even recall being on one of these clouds, but I often went along the ground on foot. At one time, near some 25-cubic-foot machine just outside a building near a metallic fence, a lightning bolt struck just five feet from me. The bolt was barely an inch wide. The clouds had groups of 25 or so and were almost like restaurant tables, only appeared a lot like a cloud. They were suspended about 40 feet above the ground and were 120 feet long by 60 feet wide going 40 feet tall. The visibility in these clouds is more around 6 inches rather than a few feet making those in the clouds seemingly "disappear" in them. I don't recall anything else.
Dream 5-72: The trip to the eastern mountains

I vaguely recall this dream. The first of two parts is where my whole family was packing to go on a trip. There were several suitcases, but I very vaguely recall this scene.
The second part is where I'm riding in the vehicle. I had a feeling I was missing quite a bit of stuff. I wondered about my swimsuit, whether or not I had it, for one. At one point, my sister, while going along an interstate, opened the door some and threw something out of it. I thought it was money as it looked like a ten-dollar bill. A few minutes later, I was told it was a marker. I asked where we were going. My parents told me that we were heading for the mountains eastward. I got excited. They told me we'll be going east then west. At first I was thinking about the Rocky Mountains, but recalled the Appalachian Mountains. The dream ends shortly after this.
Dream 5-73: Starting for Colorado and a pizza purchase mistake

I recall 3 parts. The first was where I was riding in my dad's minivan. There's not much else I recall for this first part.
The second part is where I went to a gas station in my home town. The store itself was very large, 60x35 feet or so. As you entered it, you'd see an area where you can order a pizza to the left. The checkout was to the right and further to the right were a bunch of snacks and other items typically found in a convienience store. I, at first, got a single-cheese pizza. I got it ready-made hot off the shelf. The boxes were square-shaped and a grayish brown color with red text and red borders (the colors 704030 and A04030 (###### and ######) respectively). I actually ate once slice and the pizza tasted better than any pizza I've gotten from stores. I wanted a double-cheese pizza so I tried ordering one. The cost came out to $20 and it was a 16-inch round pizza. I recalled Domino's having triple cheese for $12 so this bugged me. I still accepted it and I eventually got my pizza. They put even more cheese on, almost as if triple cheese, and the pizza was paid for where I saw the extra cheese was supposedly for free. Just before leaving for the minivan again, I recall my dad asking how long it'd take to drive to Colorado and I heard the response "2 days" and that you'd very likely need to stay at a hotel. We left at this point.
When back in the vehicle, the third part, I asked for the camera. My dad told me it was in the back on the left ledge. I went to the far back and looked but didn't see it. My dad told me I went too far back. I moved toward the front and I found it. I began eating my pizza while my dad began to drive off toward the south. The dream ended about 20 seconds later.
Dream 5-74: Trip to Minnesota for a rusty van

I'm on a trip to Minnesota. I was with both parents. It wasn't for leisure, but to pick something up. It was day at first and by the time we got to what we came for, it was dusk. At the 90% mark, there was a set of train tracks with a small wood shed just past them. There were 2 tracks, spaced about 20 feet apart from each other. I reach the destination 10 minutes after the Sun went below the horizon. It was still quite bright.
At the destination, there was an old rusty van from the 1950's or 1960's. I recall one of my grandmothers being here as well, but don't recall who. I went inside the van to look around. I couldn't get anymore than 6 inches in. The van was packed with various other car parts from random cars. These parts were most packed in the rear and many of them were strongly rusted out. I recall having to move them to see the front area, of which had a manual shift system. While here, I recall the floor supposedly breaking apart. What that happened, I got out.
After being hitched up for towing back, I eventually reached some railroads. There was no lighted signal but we crossed the tracks as if nothing was there (a dangerous thing to do). The area with the tracks and shed was next, but there was a train coming. It was about 2000 feet away and moving about 25 mph. I recall getting out to see how fast it was going. The dream ended around here.
Dream 5-75: House party with a mean female

I'm visitting someone's house as there's a party going on. There are 2 recalled parts. The first was eating. The female in the house was very unfriendly. I refused to eat as what was served was of little interest. The unfriendly one further reduced my motive. She even complained about others not eating their vegetables or even their meal. I don't recall anything else for the first part, not even any scenes.
The second part occurs ten minutes after. I'm supposedly leaving the house to return home. Outdoors, the ground is covered by snow. I'm supposedly in an alleyway as there's another building only 8 feet away. The building I was in was 2 stories and the one I saw was one story. Both buildings were about the same in terms of color brightness, but the one in front of me had a yellow-orange hue and the one I was in was a gray color. The sky is overcast and it seems like it's one hour before sunset in terms of brightness. I recall heading to the car about 100 feet to the left of the scene when I exitted the building and something happened during this time adding another 5 to 7 minutes' delay. I don't recall what it was. Just as I was heading for the car, 3 seconds later, the dream ended.
Dream 5-76: City with 2 major lookout spots

I only recall the beginning part of this dream, the fun part. In it, I'm in a city like my home town only a bit bigger and taller buildings. I don't recall much, just 3 scenes and 2 events. The first scene is where I was on top of something overlooking the city. I could see all the way across the city and the lower parts of it were like 400 feet below, even though I'm on a 3-story building. Next is the event where I'm in the lower part of town. I wanted to get back up high again. I recall jumping around on buildings on the opposite side of town and reaching an area overlooking the town. I recall, after a pause, gliding over the town just to see how fast I could get. Around here, going around 100 mph, the dream ended.
Dream 5-77: Boarding a train and excessive advertising

I only recall one part. I was at a train station. I was in the area where you board the train, a long dark tunnel indoors. One of the workers just past the entrance on the right tried to prevent me from getting on with his advertising, mentioning of a free service. I ignored him and boarded the second car from the wall on the right as I enter. Shortly after boarding the train, of which had four small cars, the dream ended. It's all I recall.
Dream 5-78: Riding home from school and candy magnification

I only recall 4 things. The first I recall involves riding the "bus" I had when I was in elementary school. Supposedly, one of my well-known teachers drove the "bus". I was the only one in it supposedly headed home. It was like autumn where the trees have no leaves, the grass is brown, and not much in the way of animal life, but without any snow on the ground. The sky appears to be overcast, but I don't have a clearly recalled scene of this. Instead of going hom, I stopped at some building. I vaguely recall it, but I do recall one thing that happened. I had a piece of sugary candy, of which was new. I was told of being able to magnify it. I don't recall how it happened, but my old piece of candy, which resembled a long stick, was "magnified". Rather than the 1/8-inch diameter, it was about a foot in diameter. You could also see miniature strings, as if the candy was looked at under a microscope (100x magnification). The last thing I recall is being home and having a drink in a green-colored glass bottle. One of my drinks froze and I didn't bother to drink the rest of the half-full bottle's worth. I don't recall anything else.
Dream 5-79: Game fog test program and school building being taken

I only recall two parts to this dream. The first involves something about fog in classic 3D video games. It was something I made. It was a square-shaped block with a greenish color. The fog was supposedly a grayish color. I had a bug in the design. When within 3/4 of the way to being completely fogged out, the full fog color was appearing in small bands as shown in the diagram below. The design had 8-bit-color-like behavior, but a 16-bit palette. Depending on our position while driving from a certain spot, this was used. I recall mountains being in the background, but I vaguely recall the scenery other than the obvious light gray road and the traffic.
The diagram on the left in this image is what the effect shown in my dream is. I've seen this very thing in my 2D game in an earlier time. The diagram on the right is what the effect is supposed to be. The fog is very tricky to pick out. The fog in my dream was actually a bit more "course" than this using 16-stage fog (shown here is 32-stage which is twice as smooth) and with 16-bit color instead of this.
The second part is where I saw a school building being taken near the south end of my home town. It was on an 18-wheeler-like vehicle. This was on the 4-lane highway just south of my home town. The center ditch was filled with grass about 5 inches tall and about 120 feet across the highway (facing almost due east while travelling south). My sister, who was driving, went to stop it and the police got involved. I recall being given a piece of an evergreen (pine?) tree, the part with the needles. In the back of the vehicle (a van) were about 40 of these. I recall putting the piece of pine cone with the rest. The police were taking photos of the rear. I saw them doing so and told them someone gave me one of those pine limbs and I threw one in. There was also bullet-proof armor for the chest area. I was given it. I recall jumping 14 feet after this. Someone was behind me and I almost landed on him/her. I try getting into an open area where few are and jump again. I recall making a jump in mid getting 29 feet in the air. I land and the dream ends.
Dream 5-80: Car club and strange concert stage

There are 2 parts. While at home, I recall being asked if I wanted to go to the car club. I asked where they were going and my dad told me where - a concert stage. Although I would normally not go, I went in the dream. I have no recalled scenes of the time I was at home.
When I got there, the place was empty. The most unusual part was the audience stand. It had a very dark gray color, almost black. The rest of the dream was where I climbed around on this thing. I recall making it on the second layer. It has 3 layers, eached spaced about 15 feet apart. It went back about 18 feet and it was 50 feet wide. The place remained rather empty, even though a few came. I don't recall anything else.
