What are your travel dreams?


Ever since my "mean teacher" went to the Bahamas when I was in the 7th grade or so, I've always been interested in travel since. This interest also sparked the birth of my mind game. Since probably around 2000 or so have I had the most travel-related dreams. These dreams, in general, have a lot to do with travel and vacations with little in the way of exploration.

Noteworthy dreams in this category:
5-6: Ideas from this dream were used in my story "The Legend of the 10 Elemental Masters".
5-11: I wished that this dream would recur as I liked it a lot.
5-19: This dream hinted at an event to occur just 5 days later. By then, one of my previous neighbor's dogs (the hunter) jumped the fence and killed one of my dogs.
5-20: This dream was featured in one of my stories.
5-26: A "teacher" I had in elementary school is mentioned here.
5-28: I've called my home town's planners and things to offer a suggestion involving this dream (except a much cheaper version than what my dream mentions).
5-30: This dream may go in the exploration category. It's also one of many dreams in a burst that featured my first ever trip into Canada (on Jun 20, 2005).
5-32: This dream likely occurred due to watching too much of a particular TV show.
5-37: This dream features a software crash with a cell phone, something I've never heard of happening at the time the dream occurred.
5-38: The dream features some getting stuck in a blizzard. Just a few days later, a major blizzard struck my area causing one of my family members to not be able to return home for a day.
5-48: A rather unusual way of obtaining small cash quickly was mentioned here.
5-49: I wished that this dream would recur as I liked it a lot.
5-52: The dream is very well-recalled in terms of the scenery, but almost no story is recalled, a rare combination.

5-128: This dream has a great story and is probably the first that uses event undoing directly.
5-141: This dream is a high favorite with a compatibity of 200. It was stuck in my head for about a week afterwards.
5-144: This dream predicted numerous events fairly well (though indirectly as usual) in the Sep 13, 2008 vacation I had.

Dream 5-31: Canada trip gone wrong

Yet another one of those dreams from that Canada trip on Jun 20, 2005.... In this dream, I supposedly went to the dental office as I did before. The building in the dream wasn't even close to the building as it actually was when I was on the trip. The building was somewhat dimly lit (as with 25-watt light bulbs) and was somewhat yellowish. The building where the waiting room was, where I was, was indoors quite a ways and there weren't any windows, except into seeing the clerk area. However, I grew so impatient, I got frustrated. My mom then thinks I was doing something bad and I flee. I cast vanish on myself to make myself invisible to others. I then slowly and quietly exit the place. I eventually head out into the parking lot. It was dusk - quite dark out. The building in this dream had a parking lot when the other building didn't have one.

I then started to use the float run and stuff to seemingly head back home. Yep, going 200 mph along a highway - except I'm not using a car or even in one. It was in a 62 mph zone (100 km/h). I soon encounter a sharp curve that is banked (to help with centripetal force). I continue using the float run around it having a hard time keeping on the road. The highway scene was during broad daylight, however. The dream ended soon afterwards.

Recalled scenes:
1. I'm inside a building that is dimly lit with a yellowish hue. I recall casting vanish on myself and slowly slipping through a doorway when it was opened by someone else. Even invisible, you can still crash into things unless ghost mode was active (through a more advanced version of that spell or a separate spell).
2. I'm in the parking lot. It's dark out and you could see maybe two or three stars, but that's about it. The parking lot was about 75% full and had capacity for about 100 cars or so. I then took off on my own using the float run and other special abilities, mostly the float run.
3. It's now broad daylight and I'm float running on the highway at 200 mph (triple the speed limit) in an unknown area. The highway is quite flat and there aren't many cars. I soon see a banked curve up ahead that looked rather sharp. I make adjustments to make it around the bend easier. I then, still going at 200 mph, make it around the curve. I don't recall much else.

Dream 5-32: The unlucky casino visit

Although I wouldn't go into a casino (except in my mind game), this dream happened to feature one. It likely occurred from watching too much "Breaking Vegas" or "The Takedown". The beginning is strongly forgotten but at the time in which I can recall this dream, I was entering this Casino. I had $100 in coins, almost all of it was in quarters though I had a few dimes, nickels and pennies mixed in.

I first practiced my jumping skills showing my buddies some tricks I could do that are beyond what anyone could do. I was showing off my jumping skills by jumping to the ceiling, which was about 20 feet high. I started off a little low but jumped higher and higher each time, but soon maxed out as I could jump high enough to use my hands to jump off of the ceiling with. I quit afterward.

I went to this one machine that has this pusher that pushes any coins into a huge group of coins. Coins you insert could cause coins hanging on the very edge to fall over as the pusher that slowly goes back and forth pushes the coin into the group. Strangely enough, I dropped all my coins in at once. Normally, this could take a very long time as you can only do it one at a time. However, upon doing so, the machine wasn't responding. I found a wheat penny (a US coin worth one cent and dated 1958 and older). I picked it up and kept it. I had another one in my picket that I brought in with me.

Security, which was was cruel (in my dream), flagged me down. They accused me of stealing. All along the entire dream, I didn't steal anything, although I did pick up that one wheat penny clearly visible on the floor that anyone could get. Thinking that it was that penny I found on the floor, I gave it back to them but they thought I had more. I showed them the one I brought in with me and they demanded it in a very mean way. Since this one wasn't stolen, I told them that I brought it in with me. Eventually, a fight began, verbally at first. I just gave the Casino $100 in coins from that one machine, and they were complaining about a penny lying on the floor in plain sight? Odd.

I soon sensed that they were very mean and seemingly evil, as if crooks. I then used my special abilities to get those who came with me out and quick. I jumped a short distance and used the flash attack straight down to blind the bad guy from the very bright and sudden flash (The flash attack isn't just for getting a big burst of speed ya know, hence it's name.). Another one of the crooks grabs me from behind and tries to haul me away. While being hauled away, I executed the speed blast and blasted off at a low speed. The intense acceleration of the speed blast is more than even a small tow truck could take, let alone a mere human.

I then found my buddies and left quickly. The dream ends shortly afterward.

Recalled scenes:
1. I enter a casino which is somewhat dimly lit (as if by 50-watt lightbulbs spead far apart from each other). There's a red tiled floor (tiles being spaced like two inches apart). Details about this area are vague.
2. I'm seeing this one machine with a bunch of quarters in it and a few dimes and this pusher going back and forth. I place about $100 in coins all at once into this machine but then it stops responding. There's a small button hidden in a small pocket on this machine to supposedly reset it, but it doesn't work.
3. I find an old wheat penny on the ground. I pick it up and put it in one of my pockets, a pocket that doesn't have the penny I brought with me. A few seconds later, some guys dressed up like security guards come along and think I'm stealing.
4. I'm taken to an otherwise hidden area which is quite empty and fairly small (like 10x10 feet). I'm told to give back what I stole, that wheat penny I found. I hand it to them peacefully. They then demand other things. I take out the wheat penny I carried in with me and show it to them saying that I carried it in with me. They, in a mean way, demanded it. I then sense that they weren't really security guards, but crooks well disguised.
5. A short verbal fight begins but then it gets too heated and thus I use the flash attack straight down to blind the crook from the bright flash. Another security guard, again a crook in disguise, grabs me from behind, and executing the speed blast breaks me free with ease.
6. I raced through the casino at high speed and quickly got my buddies out. Details on this scene are vague.
7. (unknown storyline position) At some unknown point in the dream, I was showing my buddies my jumping skills. I started low and jumped higher each time. I eventually got too close to the ceiling after about 5 to 7 jumps. This event occurred sometime after scene 1 and before scene 3.

Dream 5-33: Sister about to go to California

Though much of the dream has been forgotten, I can recall just two scenes. The first is a strange climbing area, sort of like a unique gym. That is, you had to climb around on it (and there were hardly any ladders, if any at all; it was mostly of blue-cyan walls (about 0090C0). This gym actually had an area in the walls somewhere where you can send instant messages to someone. Details about this scene are vague. All I know was that my instant messaging area was actually quite high. As I entered, I began climbing up a 4-foot wall and over the edge (and this part was the trickiest part). I then slowly made my way up to the top. I think I had two episodes in my dream (80% certainty) in which I had to climb up to where my "work place" was.

Then, at the very end of the dream, in my living room of my house, my sister told me that she was going to go to California. Because I never really get to travel, I got very angry about this and an argument started. This argument was loud and was at night (seemingly like 2:00 AM). It woke up my parents. Because I wanted to go and sister was going and didn't want me, the argument continued on. The dream ended around here.

Dream 5-34: A museum of electronic devices

This dream gives another sense of a time machine in a unique way. This museum features electronic and other mechanical equipment (like printers, copiers, tape players, etc.). The museum was medium brightness for its colors (colors like true red are medium, yellow is light; the ceiling was an exception, however as it was bright.). When I enter the museum, I have to wait for the tour guide to come. He/she comes and I go through the museum. As I go through it, I see older and older electronic and mechanical objects. At the entrance, you see new stuff, like an ink jet printer from the time of the dream. As you go through the museum, you see older and older mechanical devices like a printer from the 1980's. I was with a group of about 5 to 8. I don't recall much else about this dream.

Dream 5-35: Getting ready to go somewhere while sleepy

The beginning is mostly forgotten. All I can recall is being 3/4 asleep (feeling very tired but barely awake). I was in my house supposedly getting ready to go somewhere. The house was dimly lit and it was very dark outside. When about ready to leave, I was told to come outside. I went to the truck still being 3/4 asleep. The back of the truck was dirty as it was filled with trash. I jumped about 9 feet high and landed on top of the truck. After a few seconds of getting rid of the trash, the dream ends.

Recalled scene:
The only recalled scene I have of this dream is where I'm in the air looking down at the truck. It was about 20 minutes before sunrise in a summer setting and thus quite dark. You could still see quite a few stars. The back of the truck had quite a bit of trash in it and was mostly papers, straws, cups, and a few other things. Details are vague, however.

Dream 5-36: An airplane museum

I'm in an air museum. The museum has a strange layout to it and rather large. It contains only small planes. I recall going to 4 rooms filled with them, often with 3 to 5 planes per room. In the last room, I could see the exit. A pilot was going to take me on a tour in a plane. I don't recall that happening though, although it seemed close to.

Dream 5-37: Another trip into Canada and a cell phone software crash

Now, have you ever had your cell phone have a software crash? This dream featured something like that. This is another one of my dreams where I was going on the trip to Canada. At the start from where I can recall, I'm riding along peacefully and I see a sign with "Williston" on it and to make a right turn to head for it. This meant that I was heading west and was almost into Montana. I don't recall much else.

At night, I was in Canada, in a different area than I went before. At first, I was listening to Desert Zone on my tape player (one of my favorite songs). My parents (mom most likely) stopped at a furniture store. We were stopped by a cop once, mainly for an ID check. That went okay and he soon left. I was given something to "play" with. Details about this part are vague.

Later on, I had a strange case with a cell phone. I'm at these tables and I get text messages, mainly from "relatives" with an "I" for their last name. I recall 3 such names: J.I., S.I., and one other I can't recall. Then, I received a call just as I started my third text reply. The cell phone started to sound weird and its software supposedly crashed. It wouldn't respond any more. I told my parents that it crashed. The dream ends around here.

Recalled scenes:
1. I'm riding in the van and I see a sign above saying "Williston" on it and to turn right to get there. This scene was at day, however.
2. It's night out and I'm listening to Desert Zone on my tape player. My mom (most likely) stops at a furniture store of some kind. The details on this scene are vague.
3. I'm in some kind of hotel or restaurant with a lot of tables. There isn't much food around from what I can tell and I'm receiving text messages on a cell phone. A call was supposedly being made while receiving the third text message. The phone began making weird sounds and its software eventually crashed becoming entirely nonresponsive. I had a case of this happening for real once, only, it was an ordinary wireless phone and I was trying to make a call at the same time I was receiving one. I did actually get weird noises from this. This has a very remote chance of actually happening under normal circumstances.
4. I recall the text messages being from someone named J.I. and S.I. for sure with a third one not recalled. They were supposedly my relatives.

Dream 5-38: The snow bound rescue

A major blizzard strikes while in Bismarck. The family was stranded here and couldn't get out. I told them that I'd bring supplies. I could glide 800 mph and return home in 11 minutes. I left and started to head home in a long glide. Further north, it was much warmer.

When I arrived near the home area (in my home town, but not my house), I landed. I saw a strange building by a river. I dropped into the river going about 18 inches in. The river was rather dirty-looking. I walked out and got near the building. I saw lots of large rocks. I grabbed several of them. I put them in my chest (compressed down to almost nothing (matter is mostly empty space)). I then spot a strange-looking wall near the building. I go into this area to find a big mess of buckets, two by fours (wood), concrete slabs, papers, and various other things. I went inside the building and found a private investigator inside. At first, I thought it was a well-dressed guy. When I got up close, I saw, on the top right corner (viewing from behind him), large parts of the term "private investigator". I asked him if he was one and he said he was. I don't recall what we spoke about but I knew we spoke for some time. I then told him that there was a suspicious-looking area on the river side of the building and that he might want to look into it. I told him how to get in there then left to continue my journey.

I recall that I did return home, but I don't know what I did. I then went back to Bismarck gliding along. While gliding, I had a very close encounter with power lines. I actually slipped right between to wires perpendicular to them horizontally being only a few inches from touching them. That was the scariest part of the dream. I then continued on and the dream ends soon after.

Recalled scenes:
1. I'm inside a building where there is snow packed very high all over. It was very bright due to the snow.
2. I'm gliding along and see a strange-looking building below with a river right next to it. I exit my glide and land there in the river roughly 18 inches deep. The river was dirty-looking, but still-appearing. I get out and find a few rocks. I grab them and soon spot an odd-looking wall.
3. On the side of the building next to that wall, I see a bunch of buckets, 2 by 4 pieces of wood, slabs of concrete (those things with the two or three holes in the center and nearly cubic in shape), and papers around (mostly the standard 8.5x11 inch size). It was a big mess over there.
4. I'm inside the building, which was plain-looking (lacking any decorations and objects), and see someone there. From my recalled scene, I'm standing near the entrance and the guy is roughly 30 feet away. He has a dark-colored uniform and the word "private investigator" on the back.
5. While on my way back, I'm gliding along and have a very close encounter with powerlines. I was heading toward them almost straight on (not parallel as with roads). I pull up and barely slip past them without any injury or shock and I continue on normally.

Strangely enough, just a few days later, I get a major blizzard in my area and one of my family members did end up getting stranded from the blizzard.

Dream 5-39: Skating arena/restaurant visit

I'm in some unknown building. I have three or so "friends" with me, of which I don't recognize in the real world. They suggest I get skates or something like that, number 7 in particular. I get the skates, having a fancy space-like image on the sides of them (a star with a trail (like a "shooting star") with some stars in the background and a few rather small-looking planets, a dark red one is one of them roughly 1/3 of an inch in diameter. I get them and put them on. I then head to a booth near the wall in a restaurant-like area (in terms of table arrangements anyway). These friends spoke to me and each other for some time, but one of them had to go and get woken up later (2:00 AM I think). I don't recall much else, however.

Recalled scenes:
1. I'm in the area where you get skates. I think that there were about 13 designs. They were placed in carts, carts like a typical shopping cart. The carts are positioned against a wall with the front of the cart furthest from the wall (handle bars are against the wall). I recall a light blue-colored one in there as well. The skate design numbers were indicated on signs above in large black numbers on a white background. The skates I was getting have a fancy space-like image on the sides of them. It was of a star with a trail (like a "shooting star") with some stars (mostly circles) in the background and a few rather small-looking planets, a dark red one is one of them roughly 1/3 of an inch in diameter was one of those planets that I could recall. This area was lit as with a 60-watt light bulb.
2. I'm at a booth, with enough seating for 4 where me and my three friends, of whom I don't know in the real world were at. The tables were arranged in a fashion like a restaurant. I don't recall much detail about the scenery, but we were speaking with each other and one of them had to go and get woke up at 2:00 AM or so.

Dream 5-40: Forced photos and a restaurant visit

I was on a trip. I can only recall two scenes though. One was where I'm outside in an open field with roads around and I wanted a picture, but mom wouldn't let me. I forcefully took one after many attempts. Afterall, we weren't doing anything, but just staying in some gravel area surrounded by roads and nothing special and wasn't doing anything either but staying there.

The second recalled scene, far more strongly forgotten, is from in a restaurant. All I recall is ordering cinnamon-glazed pieces of bread.
