What are your travel dreams?
Ever since my "mean teacher" went to the Bahamas when I was in the 7th grade or so, I've always been interested in travel since. This interest also sparked the birth of my mind game. Since probably around 2000 or so have I had the most travel-related dreams. These dreams, in general, have a lot to do with travel and vacations with little in the way of exploration.
Noteworthy dreams in this category:
5-6: Ideas from this dream were used in my story "The Legend of the 10 Elemental Masters".
5-11: I wished that this dream would recur as I liked it a lot.
5-19: This dream hinted at an event to occur just 5 days later. By then, one of my previous neighbor's dogs (the hunter) jumped the fence and killed one of my dogs.
5-20: This dream was featured in one of my stories.
5-26: A "teacher" I had in elementary school is mentioned here.
5-28: I've called my home town's planners and things to offer a suggestion involving this dream (except a much cheaper version than what my dream mentions).
5-30: This dream may go in the exploration category. It's also one of many dreams in a burst that featured my first ever trip into Canada (on Jun 20, 2005).
5-32: This dream likely occurred due to watching too much of a particular TV show.
5-37: This dream features a software crash with a cell phone, something I've never heard of happening at the time the dream occurred.
5-38: The dream features some getting stuck in a blizzard. Just a few days later, a major blizzard struck my area causing one of my family members to not be able to return home for a day.
5-48: A rather unusual way of obtaining small cash quickly was mentioned here.
5-49: I wished that this dream would recur as I liked it a lot.
5-52: The dream is very well-recalled in terms of the scenery, but almost no story is recalled, a rare combination.
5-58: This dream still bothers me (as of Apr 10, 2007) whenever I go shopping.
5-61: This dream is liked a lot and I wished it would occur again.
5-71: This dream may belong in the "weird" category.
5-79: I found the last part of this dream quite bizarre and wished it would recur.
5-82: This strongly mimics something I do in my mind game a lot and wished more of such dreams would occur.
5-88: This dream features an inventor with a strange way of gaining lift.
5-93: I wished this dream would recur and be extended.
5-103: Despite being vaguely recalled, this dream is an oddball in that the feelings are well-recalled compared to anything else bumping the dream's in-tact rating above the scenery and story in-tact ratings, well above.
5-118: This dream has an unusually high nature rating compared to the rest - it stuck in my mind for a few days.
5-128: This dream has a great story and is probably the first that uses event undoing directly.
5-141: This dream is a high favorite with a compatibity of 200. It was stuck in my head for about a week afterwards.
5-144: This dream predicted numerous events fairly well (though indirectly as usual) in the Sep 13, 2008 vacation I had.

Some dreams are just very pleasent, but unfortunately forgotten quite a bit. I was at a hotel in this dream. This hotel's theme was a jungle and they really showed that. They have trees that looked so real, pools that looked as if they were placed in a jungle. Vines lined many of the walls and floors, however, the animals like tigers and the such are just fake objects but look real enough. The vines and some of the plants were real. I remember a scene of a fountain lined with vines having a large tree. Though I have no idea what happened at all in this dream, I have a few scenes from it, however.
Recalled scenes (unknown order):
1. I'm looking at a room where some life-like fake tigers and stuff were by the doors. They didn't move or anything which was how I knew that they were fakes, although they look quite real. I'm on one of the upper floors above the main ground. I can also see columns lining the hallway. A bunch of vines are everywhere in almost a constant density.
2. I see a fountain lined with vines and an area of mud along the outer edges. The water in the middle is barely moving and there's almost nothing in the way of any "jets", a common feature of fountains.

I was at a lake house in Minnesota. Though the dream has been almost entirely forgotten, I can recall a few things. In this dream, I can recall walking around by the lake but never going into it. I also remember seeing a house by the lake. The final thing I can remember is that, the next day, I wanted to go swimming around in the lake.
Recalled scenes:
1. An area where a sudden drop-off is going into the lake with approximately one foot of height before the lake. I can also see what appears to be a small bridge in this area as well.
2. An old, wooden house with a bunch of trees behind it and a dirt road nearby with the front facing the lake.

Going on a boat trip, for me, is mega rare, however, this dream does deal with boats, the renting of one. All I can recall is going into a store to rent a boat. I can see the name "Ann" everywhere and I knew in this dream that I was in a town with this name. Someone laying on a couch with a strange white thing around their neck (as from a hospital thing; don't know what it's called) and it seemed to resemble an old-time friend that moved away to another state. My family did end up getting the boat and we were headed out of the buliding and the dream ended here.

This dream was a bit of fun, though the scenery was a bit dull. In this dream, though a bit of it has been forgotten, I was in an area where there was short brownish-colored grass with a bit of green. There was a fence around the area as well and the area was rather large. I can recall a small pool of water about 500 or so feet from where I was camping out. I was with, I think, one or two others. I went to the pool of water and looked around. It, too, was surrounded by a fence, one that you can move around and adjust the shape of.
Though the story has been forgotten, I can recall taking out two kites. I got a kite flying in the air around the camping area and I tied the kite to one of our heavy weight objects in our camping area. I then jumped up and glided toward the pool of water and tied another kite to the fence. This kite was red in color, the first one was blue.

Some of my dreams are quite mysterious, but this dream was just strange. This dream took place at night. I was travelling along an area and there were some puzzles I needed to solve. One puzzle that I can remember was a strange eye-like emblem on a high wall. I think that there were like 4 or 5 of these puzzles, but the dream has been almost completely forgotten.

Deaths in my dreams are a very rare occurrance. Although this wasn't myself that died, this dream was extremely scary at one point. This dream was quite fun for the most part though. In this dream, I was exploring a man-made cave (so it seemed this way with all those nice straight lines and shafts and stuff). Though a lot of this dream has been forgotten, what I do remember is that, upon entering a shaft, an elevator was there. The group of five entered this elevator and the elevator rose all on it's own a few seconds later. The elevator rose up quite a ways until it stopped where there were apparently three path ways. One path way led to the exit of the cave high up, the other two led to other parts of the cave. One of the group members wanted to exit the cave. This guy jumped away from the elevator onto an area what appears to be loose rocks. He successfully makes the jump, however, a second later, the rocks begin to slide carrying the guy and the guy slipped and fell over the edge all the way down to the ground. It was horrifying watching that. It was such a long ways down that the impact was light-sounded and it occured nearly 5 or so seconds later.
I wanted to go back down to see if the guy was okay so down I went in the elevator. The elevator stopped when it reached the ground. I got out and the guy was about ten feet away. The guy was dead. Everyone started to cry, except myself in which I was getting ready to cast life-cure on him. The spell worked and the guy was revived. However, unfortunately, the dream ended at this point.
Recalled scenes:
1. (long animated) I'm in the elevator with the group going up. One guy says that he wanted to exit the cave they were in. The elevator rises and stops at the top. You can see the bright outside light coming in. The guy makes the jump, gets on the rocks, but barely, then the rocks start sliding and the guy falls. He screams very loudly and it was a horrifying moment and scary. Immediately the elevator is taken back down and it lands. I watch while everyone around me started to cry, except myself. I casted a quick life-cure spell and the guy started to move again on his own. I don't remember anything else past this point, likely that the dream ended here.

Quite a while ago, I actually went rock climbing on cliffs dangling about 15 feet above the ground. This dream was like that, only the cliffs were easier to climb. I was at a beach at night on a cliff surrounded by water. The cliff had a lot of block-shaped rocks that simulated stairs but were all completely uneven and distributed randomly. There was someone else in this dream as well. The rocks seemed to have an orangish hue to them. The water also appeared orangish. Though this dream's story has been forgotten, all I can remember was being along the sides of a cliff around 50 to 100 or so feet high standing on a rock trying to figure out where to go.

This dream was a bit of fun, however, it's been forgotten a lot. I was with a group. Though much of the dream has been forgotten, I can remember one scene, about 3 seconds' worth of an animation. In this dream, I was climbing up a hill with this group that took you up very high. It was so high, you could see a fog bank surrounding the area below you! I don't remember much else. I think I might've played around with heights, walking up and down the hill going in and out of the fog, and that's about it.

Dream 5-19: The block game and the hunter

This dream is first of a video game then it turns into something else that becomes rather scary. At the start, I'm playing this interesting game that resembles a classic Nintendo game (the NES). In this game, you've got a display of what appears to be 16-bit color and you've got dozens of blocks everywhere that appear to be in a 16x10 grid. You had to break various blocks and obtain powerups, usually a 1-up. Here's a basic idea on what the game sort of looked like:

This is a low quality version but the concept is about the same. This is the practice level, which contained 7 1-ups, no enemies, etc.. The colors likely don't match what I saw in the dream, I just made them up as far as what block gets what color.
Sometime later, I stopped playing the game as I found out that there was a hunter after me and my group as I happened to be with a group. I fled the area with the group. Further on, I was driving with my group in a car on an empty road. We stopped at a junkyard, grabbed a few items as weapons and waited under blankets with flashlights. The hunter never came, although it was seen a few times, at least the shadow as far as I can recall.
Recalled scenes:
1. I'm playing the block game and I go through about 8 or so levels of which often contain 1ups, 2ups and 3ups (as for extra lives). The blocks have several different colors each denoting the type of item/powerup.
2. I see the hunter's shadow as I'm on a snowy slope (not in that block game). This scene is vaguely remembered.
3. I'm on the roadway driving around as if fleeing from the hunter. It's night.
4. I'm in a junk yard in a cart-like object that's rather large. I'm also under some blankets. Two others that were with me were doing the same thing. We each have a weapon to surprise attack that hunter. I happened to have a glass rod. I don't know what the others had. The hunter never came as far as I know.

Dream 5-20: Cave carnival ladder

A theme park and a cave are nice places to go, however, a theme park inside a cave is plain strange and weird. Although much of the dream has been forgotten, I can recall one main thing about it. I was in an area where there was a contest going on. The one who can get to the highest point on a 1000-step ladder of tricks was going to win a prize. I made an attempt at it and I just kept on climbing. I was very careful on what I did, but eventually, I made it clear up to the top which was about 900 or so feet above the ground. It was dark where I was at the top, but you could easily see the pool of bluish water below you. Carefully, I went to the elevator nearby and it took me down to the ground again. Strange as it was, the elevator took you into free fall for some time but eventually slew down to a nice stop at the end. I don't remember what reward I got, as I can't remember much else with this dream.
As far as I can remember, as you went up the ladder, it got trickier and trickier. The bottom 50 steps or so were just regular steps, like that of a normal ladder. The next 50 steps, for example, would probably have their heights varied. Instead of 11 inches between steps, it might be from 9 to 13 inches between steps and it was quite random. The next 50 steps, for example, would probably have the widths mixed up where some of the steps would be rather wide and others would be quite narrow. In this same group, the concept of the previous group was mixed in meaning that the step heights would be varied along with the widths. The next set of 50 or so steps would have the steps of variable widths on each (where it could be wide at one end and narrow at the other) along with the random heights between steps. As you climbed up, it kept on getting harder. One thing I can recall is that, around step 600 to 700, the steps were seemingly cut off and seemed very unstable. I continually tested the steps to see how stable they were.
