What are your school dreams?

Anything involving school, whether it's taking a test, teaching a class, or being in a school or school-like setting would have such dreams posted here. Usually my elementary school is mentioned along with my high school or some foreign school (foreign as in, one I've never been to, even if it's in my home town).

Noteworthy dreams in this category:

Dream 10-31: The messed up tape player in school

I'm supposedly in high school just after noon (12:30-something). I don't know what class I go to next. They didn't know but I was told to join. The students were already in there, supposedly in grade 11. I recall having Battle Zone playing on my tape player, but at a fairly low volume (about 25 dB). I'm given a folder, of which looked old. I was told to write what grade I was in. Since I haven't been in school due to graduation for two years, I didn't know what to put in. There was something else I was told to write on the folder, of which I responded 5 years, but don't recall. Both responses made the students amazed. I next tried turning my music off, but the tape player was acting weird. I press the |<< button instead of the [] button so I pressed it which didn't work as the |<< was still depressed. I soon get it to release then pressing [] gets the player to finally stop. I don't recall anything else.

The 12x9-inch folder (with a flap on the side for easy opening) I was given was a grayish golden-yellow color (or E0C060). The tape player (though it may have been a CD player, but it had controls like that of a tape player) I used was black in color. I was at some long, rectangular-shaped table (about 10 feet long and 2 1/2 feet wide) with a black top.

Dream 10-32: Vacation planning, the school maze, and the music hall

Occurred on Apr 30, 2006; general - 7; nature - 7.5; story - 6??; scenery - 6; fun - 6.5??; scary - 1??; weird - 3??; imagery - 20% in tact; dream - 15% in tact

This dream has two parts. The first is where a possible vacation spot was being decided on. I wanted an area where I could go swimming. We were looking at several options, likely hotel options. I otherwise don't recall anything about this part.

The second part is where I'm in a school. This school has stairs and hallways with frequent 90° turns all over making the place like a maze. I recall a classroom, which was rather empty except for the desks, the teacher's desk, a carpetted floor, walls, and the ceiling - practically empty. At the end, I recall leading the class to a music room, an area where a conductor is on a stage and instrument players use the seats pointed toward the stands. I recall gliding over everything in this fairly large room, using 120x120 feet of space. Just before the dream ends, I recall gliding through the music hall to pick up speed, then gliding through the weird hallways first by going up stairs by gliding up them (pitching upwards, of which causes a loss of speed), then making all the twists and turns. The path I took was going up a set of five stairs, turning left, follow the corridor, turn right half way down (about 40 feet), then the dream ended.

The music hall had dark-colored walls, a dark blue-gray (or 202040 ######), even though it was well-lit. The stairs had blue-green walls (something like 007080) and the walls in the hallways were a bright white everywhere with a slightly darker floor. I don't recall the ceiling color.

Dream 10-33: Recess and the hot-air balloon

Occurred on May 9, 2006; general - 6??; nature - 7??; story - 6??; scenery - 5?; fun - 6??; scary - 1??; weird - 1??; imagery - 20% in tact; dream - 10% in tact

I don't recall the beginning, only the last 4 or 5 minutes. From what I can recall, I'm at my elementary school outside in the playground (during recess) near the field at the opposite side of school's parking lot. The only thing I recall in the story is where a multi-colored (I recall red for sure, possibly blue, white, and, I think, orange) hot-air balloon was drifting about 300 feet above. I and a few of the students wanted a decent closeup. After the balloon got a short ways past the school yard, it seemingly hit something and went down only 150 or so feet away. I recall jumping at least 80 feet off the ground starting to glide toward it.

Dream 10-34: Do anything in school, with a small rescue

Occurred on May 17, 2006; general - 6.5; nature - 7; story - 6; scenery - 5.5; fun - 7; scary - 1; weird - 0; imagery - 85% in tact!; dream - 60% in tact

I recall 3 main events in this dream. The first is that I was allowed to do almost anything, even gliding through the 400+-feet-long hallways at 40 mph. The carpets were brown in color (about 502014 or ###### and the ceiling was nearly 25 feet high or so (2 floors' worth with the central area very open). There were a few areas where chairs and couches were with a single 7x4-foot table only 2 feet above the ground. The hallways were virtually empty. The building is quite well lit, but no daylight was getting in as it was night, thus the hallways are empty because everyone is sleeping. There were several doors lining the entire hallway, all of which were wooden. The walls were painted, but I don't recall the color other than it being close in brightness compared to the carpet. While gliding around, often at around 20 mph, I saw someone, a female who was rather thin, get hurt (or just fall over) and I called for help. This happened near one of the areas where the couches, chairs, and tables were, sort of in the middle of the hallway. I was gliding toward her at a fairly high speed (30 mph at the peak) starting about 120 feet from where she fell down. I looked at her and the leg and found it was okay. She tried it again and it was okay. Once that was cleared, I resumed my high-speed gliding.

The second event was where I saw a classroom with an active class in it. The classroom had a carpetted floor, 24 desks (in a 6x4 grid pattern) and the teacher's desk. About 5 feet from the entrance, in the back of the classroom, there is a desk with a stash of about 6 small books and roughly 10 magazines. I went in to look around. The teacher wondered why I wasn't doing anything. In a stash of books and magazines I found, I saw a miniature book for mini word searches and mini crosswords. I took one of each and showed the teacher. The teacher said that I should do the crosswords one. I agreed with him saying that they require more thinking skills than word searches. I started working on them with the first one I encountered being a history-related one.

A skip occurs in the dream's story after 20 seconds at the crossword filling in two answers. The third part is where I had a fairly steep 2:1 slope having a tiled floor and a dark red-orange color (or 903000, ######. The tiles were small 3x3 pieces with a 1/4-inch grout line between them. At the end of this slope was a tank of clear-looking water. The tank was 10 feet long by 3 feet wide and was 2 feet deep. The top of the tank was level with the level floor on the bottom. I recall rolling down this slope with just barely enough speed to fall into the tank. I saw the city outside the windows - there were several sky scrapers outside (at least 25 floors - don't recall well) suggesting I was in a foreign area. It was night so the buildings were lit. The glass had 3 angles. That is, the center piece, perpendicular to the sloped, tiled pathway had a piece of glass of the same 4x7-foot size turned 45° on each side making a partial regular octagon with 3 line segments. The walls were of medium brightness, of a grayish color and I don't recall the color of the ceiling. I don't recall anything else about this dream.

Dream 10-35: School gym, stairs, and a secret access area

Occurred on Jun 19, 2006; general - 5.5; nature - 6; story - 8!; scenery - 5.5; fun - 5.5; scary - 0; weird - 1; imagery - 30% in tact; dream - 40% in tact

I'm at a foreign school, a school I've never been to. The bulk of this dream involves gym class. There were two floors to the gym, a larger main floor and a smaller basement. At first, I started in the larger area then it was time to go downstairs. I couldn't use stairs and with everyone almost always in the way at the bottom, using the flash attack or jumping down wasn't an option. I was wondering of various ways to get down or do the same activities up on the higher floor. They couldn't bring the machines up so I couldn't.

I don't recall much about the middle part of the dream. I do recall that I went outside to a building about 800 feet away. It was supposedly for the running/jogging part. I used my float run at 70 mph to reach it well before anyone else. Since I had to wait for everyone else, I played around, mainly just jumping around. The outside area had a gravel road that made the 6-foot-wide pathway, of which was lined with well-cut grass. The building is about 30 feet long by about 20 feet wide, rather small. The roof of it was about 10 feet high and had a 3:1 pitch to it. It was day time and the sky was clear of clouds.

At the end, it was back to the basement. Since I couldn't do anything, I looked around the school and found an elevator about 200 feet from the gym through a small maze of walls. I used it to go down and soon found out how to get into the gym basement. The basement had dark brown walls, as if wood, a tiled floor, and exercising equipment. I looked around the area for a bit then returned to the upper floor again. The dream ended shortly after using a jump and flash attack to see some strange markings on the wall, some numbers and letters spanning 1 1/2 feet tall. This writing was on the gym wall, of which was just over 20 feet high.

Dream 10-36: 5 tornadoes at school

Occurred on Jul 4, 2006; general - 5??; nature - 5??; story - 6.5?; scenery - 6???; fun - 5.5?; scary - 3?; weird - 2??; imagery - 4% in tact!!; dream - 18% in tact

First, I'm in a regular classroom which has a dark grayish-cyan carpet. While participating, I looked out the window to see unusually dark clouds. I stop what I was doing and check it out. Out the large, wide, 8x3-foot window, I saw 5 tornadoes in an open field about 1000 or so feet away. They were narrow and seemed to head for the school. We were on the second floor. I warned the class about them, and they saw the tornadoes as well.

From the second floor, we quickly dashed for safety. I told them to get as low as possible. We went down one flight of stairs to get to the ground floor and saw the tornadoes even closer. The next set of stairs took me and the class to the basement. At this point, the tornadoes turned left (toward the right in my view). I don't recall anything else and I otherwise lack any further scenery descriptions.

Dream 10-37: Staying late at school to catch up on a week's worth of homework

Occurred on Oct 10, 2006; general - 4.5???; nature - 4??; story - X; scenery - 5??; fun - 2???; scary - X; weird - X; imagery - 12% in tact; dream - 4% in tact!

Having so much homework to do, a week behind, I was to stay at school and do my homework. I was in my elementary school in the special classroom. I worked on the homework until 9:00 PM as I frequently checked the clock on the wall. There were one or two others here with the same issue. The stack of homework I had was 1/5 of an inch thick (using my ruler to verify this). I recall geography, several worksheets, stapled packets of reading material, and some others. I don't recall much else.

Dream 10-38: Wrong class, naming the 9 planets, traffic jam, and stove left on

Occurred on Nov 2, 2006; general - 5; nature - 6; story - 5?; scenery - 5??; fun - 4; scary - 2; weird - 2?; imagery - 15% in tact; dream - 30% in tact

There are 4 parts to this dream. The first part is where I'm at school. I recall going to the wrong language/literature (English) class. I don't recall much about this scene.

The second part is where I go to a science classroom. I recall having to name the 9 planets in order. I could name more objects and I mentioned it. I mentioned asteroids and comets. Some students could barely recall beyond Jupiter. I thought of Eros and some other object like it. I don't recall anything further for the second part.

The third part is where its night and I leave home to go somewhere. I don't recall where, but the first scene I recall is where I come up to the highway. There are a lot of cars at great density going in the direction if we returned (from left to right, the first two lanes we had to cross (of the 4-lane highway)). 15 seconds pass with no sign of an opening. By then, I saw a sign 100° to my right that said of an accident and that an entire family was involved. Instead of turning left, we turned right and headed in the opposite direction the cars were. Even 20 seconds later, while watching that dynamic, lighted sign, there were still numerous cars at great density.

The fourth part is where we returned home. At home, I see that the stove was left on. A pot was on it with the fire on high. It was turned off right away. We started to unpack and the dream ended here.

Dream 10-39: Obeying the rules, but kicked out anyway

Occurred on Dec 8, 2006; general - 5??; nature - 4.5???; story - 5???; scenery - 6??; fun - 5.5??; scary - 1???; weird - 2???; imagery - 10% in tact!; dream - 8% in tact

I'm at school doing jumping jacks in the gym, but I get picked on my the teacher. I did a set of 45 jumps and I followed along with the class like the others. It was after this point that I was told to leave. I head for the hallways, which were about 6 feet wide and had a dark blue-cyan carpet, and follow a map I had on paper of the school's maze-like floor design. On the southwest corner, of which I was just east of, there was an area I thought was an exit. I go to it and find that it was an area under construction. There were a lot of pieces of wood lying around, mainly half-inch plywood. There were 3 workers working on it. There were some windows (2 to 4) that were installed with another placed on a table waiting to be installed. There was a "do not touch" sign on standard 8 1/2x11 paper. The font appears to be Verdana, size 96, and bold. I "discarded" the teacher that followed me around in here as I snuck out. I told him/her to hurry up and I just left that teacher in there while I left. A few seconds later, the dream ended.

Dream 10-40: "Create a" was a bad word in a presentation

Occurred on Jan 2, 2007; general - 5?; nature - 4.5?; story - 8!?; scenery - 5.5??; fun - 4?; scary - 2?; weird - 5?; imagery - 8% in tact!; dream - 18% in tact

There are 4 parts to this strange dream. The first part is where I'm riding in the "bus" I had during my elementary school. I recall having my log papers, those with the style and format os those I use to update my site with. I don't recall looking outside, only the floor and bag I used as well as my log papers. The van was red on the inside. At the school, I got out of the bus but I have nothing else recalled for the first part.

The second part is where I'm in school. I don't recall any of the scenes from the school. I was supposedly doing a report on highways and roads. At first, it went okay, but, during the last 10 seconds of the 90-second aloud-to-the-class presentation is where it went bad, and for no reason. I mentioned saying something along the lines of "make a highway", "build a highway". I was told I just lost 500 points on my behavior score for the day because I used a bad word. I never use such words but they thought "build a", "make a" or "create a" was a bad word. Long-lasting verbal arguments occurred about this trying to convince them that whichever I said was not a bad word. I'm more certain it was "create a" that was it (50%) with "make a" the next-most-certain (35%). I gave examples using it and no matter what I did to convince them I didn't use a bad word, they wouldn't remove the 500-point penalty. I told them to ask my parents if I do use bad words, to read my stories I wrote, and others, but got nowhere. The arguing about it almost reached the point where it got physical. It was the end of the day and this prevented the argument from going physical.

It was time to go home and I gathered up my papers and I left for home in the same "bus". At home, of which I was visitting relatives and slept in a room with 6 double-layer beds, I made a wish to Santa that the penalty was removed. I actually heard the voice of Santa and he told me that my wish was granted.
