What are your exploration dreams?
Unlike the related travel dreams, these dreams involve actually exploring the area, whether it's my home town or some other area. Just being in the area going from one house to another doesn't count. These dreams are recalled quite well.
Noteworthy dreams in this category:
11-3: This dream is extremely well-recalled and with with 98% in tact, it's near the record. A story has been posted for it.
11-5: This dream is the second-oldest recalled dream and it also sparked my interest for writing stories.
11-9: This dream is well-recalled and has been posted as a story.
11-10: This dream is very well-recalled and posted as a story.
11-12: This dream is well-recalled, but very boring with dull scenery. It should be posted as a story.
11-18: This dream is well-recalled and should be posted as a story. It also occurred at least twice.
11-20: This dream is very well-recalled and should be posted as a story.
11-23: This dream is very well-recalled and should be posted as a story.
11-25: This dream is well-recalled and should be posted as a story.
11-30: I recreated the scenes in this well-liked dream in 3D and posted some screenshots. I wished this dream would recur as well. I also once started a miniature novel on it as well but never finished (about 24 pages or so, around 8% complete).
11-33: This dream is very well-recalled and should be posted as a story. Not only that, but it has occurred twice and both cases are remarkably well-recalled.
11-39: This dream has the longest known play time and is extremely well-recalled. At 97% in tact, the entire dream is recalled to the finest of detail and it has a very good story to it.
11-44: This dream is very well-recalled and should be posted as a story.
11-49: This dream has the story recalled to very fine detail, but hardly anything in the way of scenes are recalled. This is a rather unusual difference.
11-53: Although previously recalled, it was strangely missing from my dream journal and it was enhanced by my mind game. Fortunately, I still recalled quite a bit of the dream when I later added it.
11-81: This dream, in addition to being very well-liked, is the first dream to feature Speed. I believe it hinted at the return to the rewriting my main story, of which finally happened.
11-87: This dream is very well recalled with the story 88% in tact (thus posted as a story). It is also a favorite.
Dream 11-91: A watery carnival and the red path near the river
Occurred on Jun 3, 2009; general - 5; nature - 20!; story - 6!; scenery - 3?; fun - 3; scary - 1.5; weird - 1.8; scenery - 30% in tact; story - 70% in tact; dream - 55% in tact
I recall 4 parts to this fairly well-recalled dream. The first is that I'm with sister south of town who drives an 18-wheeler. I recall getting food, from grocery shopping. Still 20 or so miles from town, I encounter this festival going on and wanted to check it out.
Part 2 is where I look around. On the highway, I recalled this red, brick path and wanted to get on it. A 15-foot-wide river was in the way. I recall taking the back area. There was a blue path and 2 others. One, I think, was yellow (60% certain), and the other was green (30% certain). I followed the red path as it went up, usually gently. It was often flooded, with a half inch of crystal clear water. My sister lead the way.
We soon encountered a "cave" then a problem - the path split. My sister went into an area of water 9 inches deep and spoke with someone. I tried to follow, hopping between high spots (I didn't want my shoes to get wet) and got within 2 feet. We were given directions. We were told of a field of weeds as a shortcut. I recall an office scene while here, with a dark green carpet, but I otherwise don't recall much else about it. We went toward the weeds and crossed the tall grass. We encountered the red path again. While going there, I saw 3 or so kids lighting fireworks that were perpetual and like boomerangs - they returned. They were almost like toys, overly realistic ones.
We followed the path and soon saw the river 15 feet below. There was a 3:2 slope leading down to the river, which gradually went to 1:3 near a gate. I saw a colorful area in the water and wanted a photo. I was disappointed to find that it was actually cereal, like Lucky Charms. There were about 15 here swimming in the river. I recall an old guy (in the early 50's) taking his shirt off, walking down to the river, then swim across it. I was kind of tempted to go in but was scared to. I recall seeing a ledge in the form of a text-free wooden "sign". I jumped up to it, but couldn't reach the top. I tried again, jumping in mid-air, and reached it. I had just jump 8, giving 2.5-foot jumps. The grabbable part was 10 feet high. I soon saw that sister left without me so I gave chase in a glide. When I got low to the ground, I pitched up. The chase, lasting only 30 seconds, was part 4 - the dream ended then.
