What are your exploration dreams?

Unlike the related travel dreams, these dreams involve actually exploring the area, whether it's my home town or some other area. Just being in the area going from one house to another doesn't count. These dreams are recalled quite well.

Noteworthy dreams in this category:
11-3: This dream is extremely well-recalled and with with 98% in tact, it's near the record. A story has been posted for it.
11-5: This dream is the second-oldest recalled dream and it also sparked my interest for writing stories.
11-9: This dream is well-recalled and has been posted as a story.
11-10: This dream is very well-recalled and posted as a story.
11-12: This dream is well-recalled, but very boring with dull scenery. It should be posted as a story.
11-18: This dream is well-recalled and should be posted as a story. It also occurred at least twice.
11-20: This dream is very well-recalled and should be posted as a story.
11-23: This dream is very well-recalled and should be posted as a story.
11-25: This dream is well-recalled and should be posted as a story.
11-30: I recreated the scenes in this well-liked dream in 3D and posted some screenshots. I wished this dream would recur as well. I also once started a miniature novel on it as well but never finished (about 24 pages or so, around 8% complete).
11-33: This dream is very well-recalled and should be posted as a story. Not only that, but it has occurred twice and both cases are remarkably well-recalled.
11-39: This dream has the longest known play time and is extremely well-recalled. At 97% in tact, the entire dream is recalled to the finest of detail and it has a very good story to it. 11-44: This dream is very well-recalled and should be posted as a story.
11-49: This dream has the story recalled to very fine detail, but hardly anything in the way of scenes are recalled. This is a rather unusual difference.
11-53: Although previously recalled, it was strangely missing from my dream journal and it was enhanced by my mind game. Fortunately, I still recalled quite a bit of the dream when I later added it.
11-81: This dream, in addition to being very well-liked, is the first dream to feature Speed. I believe it hinted at the return to the rewriting my main story, of which finally happened.
11-87: This dream is very well recalled with the story 88% in tact (thus posted as a story). It is also a favorite.

Dream 11-91: A watery carnival and the red path near the river

I recall 4 parts to this fairly well-recalled dream. The first is that I'm with sister south of town who drives an 18-wheeler. I recall getting food, from grocery shopping. Still 20 or so miles from town, I encounter this festival going on and wanted to check it out.

Part 2 is where I look around. On the highway, I recalled this red, brick path and wanted to get on it. A 15-foot-wide river was in the way. I recall taking the back area. There was a blue path and 2 others. One, I think, was yellow (60% certain), and the other was green (30% certain). I followed the red path as it went up, usually gently. It was often flooded, with a half inch of crystal clear water. My sister lead the way.

We soon encountered a "cave" then a problem - the path split. My sister went into an area of water 9 inches deep and spoke with someone. I tried to follow, hopping between high spots (I didn't want my shoes to get wet) and got within 2 feet. We were given directions. We were told of a field of weeds as a shortcut. I recall an office scene while here, with a dark green carpet, but I otherwise don't recall much else about it. We went toward the weeds and crossed the tall grass. We encountered the red path again. While going there, I saw 3 or so kids lighting fireworks that were perpetual and like boomerangs - they returned. They were almost like toys, overly realistic ones.

We followed the path and soon saw the river 15 feet below. There was a 3:2 slope leading down to the river, which gradually went to 1:3 near a gate. I saw a colorful area in the water and wanted a photo. I was disappointed to find that it was actually cereal, like Lucky Charms. There were about 15 here swimming in the river. I recall an old guy (in the early 50's) taking his shirt off, walking down to the river, then swim across it. I was kind of tempted to go in but was scared to. I recall seeing a ledge in the form of a text-free wooden "sign". I jumped up to it, but couldn't reach the top. I tried again, jumping in mid-air, and reached it. I had just jump 8, giving 2.5-foot jumps. The grabbable part was 10 feet high. I soon saw that sister left without me so I gave chase in a glide. When I got low to the ground, I pitched up. The chase, lasting only 30 seconds, was part 4 - the dream ended then.

Dream 11-92: A mysterious portal leads to a supersized junk yard

I've forgotten the beginning of this 4-part dream. The first part is completely forgotten aside from knowing it existed but it leads to part 2. Here, I'm entering a mysterious portal that leads to a supersized car junk yard. The junk yard is miles wide on both sides, with probably as many as 1 to 2 million total cars present, of all types (trucks, cars, vans, etc.), eras (from the 1890's clear to the 2000's), and variations in color, decals, and other thoughs, though randomly distributed. By "randomly distributed, I mean that a 1920 Ford could be right next to a 1996 Chevy which could be next to a 1981 Toyota then a 1940 Desoto all in the same row without gaps (like a random number generator being used to determine the specs). There were gravel pathways between the rows using few pebbles no bigger than about 4 millimeters, but they were only about 5 feet wide, hardly anything. I hop cars to the highest point I can reach.

After about 5 or so minutes of hopping and climbing around cars, part 3 starts where I was informed that monsters were supposedly about to come so we had to flee. Roughly 1/3 of those with me (I came with a group of an unrecalled size) were handicapped. As I fled, I zip by everyone at about 20 mph. I don't recall whether or not I was running or gliding.

Part 4 is where I'm offered a trophy but need to answer weird, unusual questions like "are 'giving bins' a good idea" and a few others.

Dream 11-93: High-tech high-rise, plane crash, and the wood shavings removal promise

Occurred on Jan 25, 2010; general - 3; nature - 8!; story - 1.5; scenery - 1.8?; fun - 4; scary - 1.5; weird - 4; scenery - 35% in tact; story - 65% in tact; dream - 55% in tact

This dream has 4 parts. I first recall being in a high-tech building of 8 floors in some foreign city (a metro area is foreign to me). The building seemed to be 40 years ahead of its time (as if from 2050). My parents were here, supposedly waiting for something, such as from an appointment. I vaguely recall much around this point.

Part 2 is where I'm at my own house. Except for one event, I vaguely recall what happened. That event is where I see a plane crash 1/3 of a mile from my house toward the highway. The plane was going unusually slow. The impact caused sparks to spread out, of which caused things to catch on fire. I had to interrupt my parents so I could call 911 and report the plane crash. It took 3 tries to call the number as, for some strange reason, I always had extra digits in the front (e.g. having "62911" or "3911" instead of just simply "911"). I reported the plane crash, but forgot to mention of the fire.

After the plane crash event, part 3, I began exploring the building. I recall visiting 3 floors. I don't recall the second one I visited but it's directly above the floor my parents were on, the first. The third floor was the top floor. Here, I saw an elevator. This elevator was very strange in that it went horizontally along tracks that lead to the exterior of the building, completely outdoors. There were 2 curves/turns involved.

Here, I recall an assortment of stands, like those at a baseball game for amateurs. These stands were to the left as I first viewed the area. They seemed to be of logs that have been highly rotted out, but also surpringly sturdy. To the right was the edge of the building, with a 5-foot-tall fence using the diamond-shaped interleaving going around it. The strange part about this area is that the whole thing is tilted a whole 5° toward the fence. That is, if you walked toward the fence, you'd be walking downhill on a 5° slope. In the stands was someone carrying a small wicker basket with wood shavings inside. It was about 9 inches diameter on one side and 6 on the other, with its handle being 5/8 inch diameter all around. The wood shavings seemed to be like that from when using a chisel to remove small flakes of wood when creating a wooden statue, though I didn't see anything resembling a statue or any large wood structure. Part 4 starts when I was asked if I could get rid of the wood shavings in the basket. I agreed. Right after I took the basket, I was told I had 30 minutes to get rid of them. I promised him/her that I'd do that. Just before I left, he draw the cross, hinting that he/she was some religious figure of sorts. As I was trying to find my way back to where the elevator was to return to the interior, I got lost. I cast teleport twice to use the horizontal elevator then the main elevator. I then began looking for a certain trash can I needed to get to. One area I visited had a dark room and 2 jigsaw puzzles. The puzzles had 1000 pieces but they were 4 times bigger (twice the size on each dimension). I don't recall anything else.

Dream 11-94: A secret tunnel with a dragon makes a good place to escape

Occurred on Feb 12, 2010; general - 7!?; nature - 60!!?; story - 10!?; scenery - 6!?; fun - 4?; scary - 2?; weird - 2?; scenery - 30% in tact; story - 35% in tact; dream - 35% in tact

This dream has 4 parts. The first is very vaguely recalled. I recall doing something that caused my parents to get upset but I have no idea what. I don't have any scenes of this part recalled either.

Part is introduces the dream's main focal area. It appeared to be some abandoned tunnel or passage and resembles 1920's style landscaping. A stone pathway with higher areas near the wall was present. In the central area, the slopes are quite random, but gets more varied the closer I get to the wall. In the center, it's only half as varied. Odd cliffs of about 2 to 4 feet high line the areas within 10 feet of the walls. The pattern for the heights seems to be logarithmic - the center is 1% as intense as the far with the point halfway to the wall being 10% as intense. The passage is about 90 feet wide and 30 feet tall, sort of like the top half of a 3:2 width:height ellipse. A deep blue (2040C0, ######) mist is present making the visibility only a half a mile. It sort of resembles fog in older video games, but this isn't a video game. I spent about 15 minutes exploring this area and was the best part of the dream. I then encountered something that scared me out of the area. I don't recall what it was though.

Part 3 is where I'm just moving into a new house. The new house has a hallway with an odd green-painted metal gate halfway across. I got an eerie feeling from it, one I remembered earlier. I warned of it being haunted but my parents didn't believe me. I also warned of a dragon about to come out. After a bit, I, indeed, saw a dragon come out, a long, green one with a head and spikes like an iguana and skin like a snake. I somehow befriended it.

Part 4 is where I snuck into the gate in the hallway and entered a familiar area in the abandoned tunnel. After about 3 more minutes of exploring, the dream ended.

Dream 11-95: A shop on each floor of an 82+-story building

Occurred on Oct 2, 2010; general - 1.2???; nature - 1.8???; story - 1???; scenery - 2??; fun - 1.2???; scary - 1.5???; weird - 1.8???; scenery - 15% in tact; story - 5% in tact!; dream - 8% in tact!

This vaguely recalled dream involves an 82+-story building that's actually a shopping center like the Mall of America. The weird part is that I needed a ticket in order to exit. The elevator to access floor 73 counted as 1 and stops at 10. I was visiting family. The scene out of the elevator's window resembled Platform Masters' Keveran Forest - low-lying grass was very foggy and far, higher spots were sharp and clear, minus distance fog. Each floor was like a shop of its own. I looked around the building and did some shopping. I otherwise don't recall anything else, especially the story.

Dream 11-96: A hard-to-escape-from late night school party

Occurred on Oct 5, 2010; general - 1???; nature - 1.2???; story - 1.2???; scenery - 1.5???; fun - 1.5???; scary - 1.8???; weird - 1.5???; scenery - 6% in tact!; story - 8% in tact!; dream - 7% in tact!

I only recall bits and pieces. One event involves sliding on ice outdoors in the city - I was spinning (and dizzy) while heading toward a road with cars coming. That was the scariest part. I'm at a multi-story school somewhat resembling Central Campus. A party was supposedly involved later on.

A jump occurs in the dream to where I'm getting in my sister's car to get to school at night. I'm supposedly with a group but things don't go right with me - I attempt to return home but had to solve a puzzle/maze. Leaving the building leads me to a festival-like area in the snow outside. It was day. I recall an event involving the soda machine. In another, I recall the path splitting - I essentially had to guess the route. After a bit, I back track and take an alternate route. This is all I recall.

Dream 11-97: A city's underground lost civilization

Occurred on Feb 19, 2011; general - 15!; nature - 80!!; story - 150!!!; scenery - 8!; fun - 5; scary - 2.5; weird - 3; scenery - 85% in tact!; story - 92% in tact!!; dream - 90% in tact!!

This dream is so well-recalled that is has been posted as a story. To summarize, I investigate a mystery in a big city. Through my investigations, I discover a lost civilization and discover the secrets of the city. This dream easily reminds me of Mega Man Legends as the story seems quite similar in ways.

Dream 11-98: Mario 1, hospital coin respawning, US tour montage, and a badlands horseback riding revisit

Occurred on Jun 23, 2011; general - 3; nature - 8!; story - 4; scenery - 2; fun - 2.5; scary - 1.8; weird - 1.5; scenery - 60% in tact; story - 45% in tact; dream - 50% in tact

This dream has 4 parts. At first, I'm playing Mario 1, having troubles with too few lives. I recall there being a few slight changes in design - the existence of world 8-5 being one. I had 1 life left by then but the dream abruptly goes to part 2.

I'm in some strange setup for part 2. I start in my parent's bedroom with a check (the money type) from my book sales. I didn't see or recall the amount. For a bit, I'm lying in their bed holding the check in my hand. After a bit, I get up with my bag and check and enter what appears to be a hospital - white floors, light blue-cyan walls, brightly lit (200 lux), and with an assortment of doors. It seemed like I knew this place. I recalled using it to easily accumulate coins. I entered a room, went to the area containing the coins and grabbed them. I knew what I needed to do to respawn the coins, but instead, I go into the bathroom, of which was quite dark, just 10 lux. I was here getting hardened toilet paper out of my underwear which was rather weird. The whole part was as if I was in a video game with life-like graphics.

Part 3 is vaguely recalled but short-lasting. It's sort of like a time lapse or montage - a series of scenes of me riding in mom's van for what appears to be several days. Each of about 40 to 60 scenes lasts a half second. It was as if I got mom to tour the US with me.

Part 4 is the sudden stop of this where I'm going up a steep hill with 15° slopes. The background "bumps" were envisioned during the climb. The road made a 135° arc to the left and a 135° arc to the right immediately afterward. The speed was about 30 mph and the road was gravel. I was in the desert. I first thought I was near Las Vegas but recalled a sign showing Dickinson being 100 miles away (direction unknown). This pointed to being in the North Dakota or South Dakota bad lands. It was a desert-like area and I saw a lot of sand and desert grasses but no cacti.

At the top, 40 "bumps" up (about 190 feet), there was a horseback riding ranch that seemed very familiar, one I visited in 2000 with my old friend. The place was quite beat up and was in a worn down poor shape. The lobby was okay, but, outside, there was a stair case. I had to reduce gravity by 3/4 before I felt safe - 5 mph/s acceleration. The stairs appeared unstable, broken, damaged, and they led 100 feet down. The steps were wooden with random widths but in groups. The group could have 6 steps 6 inches wide, the next has 2 steps 16 inches wide, 5 at 10, and so on. Widths ranged from 6 to even 48 inches with 2 to 6 in each group. The vertical spacing was always the same - 8 inches per setep. At the bottom, the ground itself looked unstable and damaged (rotted). From my past visit (not in the real world, but a time before the dream started), I recalled the safe areas and walked on those. I saw the horse barn with 2 or 3 brown horses inside. I don't recall anything else.
