What are your exploration dreams?

Unlike the related travel dreams, these dreams involve actually exploring the area, whether it's my home town or some other area. Just being in the area going from one house to another doesn't count. These dreams are recalled quite well.

Noteworthy dreams in this category:
11-3: This dream is extremely well-recalled and with with 98% in tact, it's near the record. A story has been posted for it.
11-5: This dream is the second-oldest recalled dream and it also sparked my interest for writing stories.
11-9: This dream is well-recalled and has been posted as a story.
11-10: This dream is very well-recalled and posted as a story.
11-12: This dream is well-recalled, but very boring with dull scenery. It should be posted as a story.
11-18: This dream is well-recalled and should be posted as a story. It also occurred at least twice.
11-20: This dream is very well-recalled and should be posted as a story.
11-23: This dream is very well-recalled and should be posted as a story.
11-25: This dream is well-recalled and should be posted as a story.
11-30: I recreated the scenes in this well-liked dream in 3D and posted some screenshots. I wished this dream would recur as well. I also once started a miniature novel on it as well but never finished (about 24 pages or so, around 8% complete).
11-33: This dream is very well-recalled and should be posted as a story. Not only that, but it has occurred twice and both cases are remarkably well-recalled.
11-39: This dream has the longest known play time and is extremely well-recalled. At 97% in tact, the entire dream is recalled to the finest of detail and it has a very good story to it. 11-44: This dream is very well-recalled and should be posted as a story.
11-49: This dream has the story recalled to very fine detail, but hardly anything in the way of scenes are recalled. This is a rather unusual difference.
11-53: Although previously recalled, it was strangely missing from my dream journal and it was enhanced by my mind game. Fortunately, I still recalled quite a bit of the dream when I later added it.
11-81: This dream, in addition to being very well-liked, is the first dream to feature Speed. I believe it hinted at the return to the rewriting my main story, of which finally happened.
11-87: This dream is very well recalled with the story 88% in tact (thus posted as a story). It is also a favorite.

Dream 11-61: A strange cave-like building

This is one dream where I can't tell if it's a video game or not. In this dream, of which I recall only parts and pieces of, I'm on a mission to clear out the various rooms of a strange cave-like building. I recall windows being in the upper parts of the central area which was 40 feet in diameter. There were eight rooms, each accessible from this central area. The rooms are spaced out by 45° with a wall separating the rooms being covering a 4° arc of this circle. The indicators on the floor next to the entrance have an arc of 30°. Of these indicators, there are lights on them that cover 10° of an arc with one on each side and borders. The borders around the lights are 1° of an arc with the center wall, except the area closest to the center of this hallway being a 2° arc. The edges use a further 2° arc to get the 30° total. The light nearest the center of the hallway, however, has the same border of 1° around it and the same 2° for the edges. The light itself, uses the remaining 25° of the arc. There are 8 of these things, one for each of the hallways.

When a room hasn't been visited or cleared yet, the lights on indicators next to the entrance to that room will have a red-colored light on the five sections of it. When a room is cleared, it matches the color of the sand, a light yellowish-gray color. I don't recall many of the rooms, especially what order I visited the first 6.

I recall one room with several pockets of squishy, warm mud that I went in to supposedly bathe in and for the fun of it. The mud was a medium brown color, A05028. It was about four feet deep at the deepest. The pools of mud were about 90°F or so, that of a warm swimming pool. The area had a tropical theme. There weren't any plants, but a window where I could see out of. It looked like a tropical resort outside. Someone else was also with me during this. He/she also went in the mud, but nly by accident and quickly got out only two inches deep. I don't recall the other five rooms, other than one being the entrance and exit.

The second-to-last room I visitted was the boss room, the part that makes me wonder if this was a video game or not. Considering I could feel the mud, and the "graphics" were very much life-like, it's very hard to tell. Although I visitted it earlier, it was empty other than a few hills with sand. The boss was here and was a two-on-one fight. The battle went easily and quite well, but I don't recall much of anything about it besides what the area looked like. The last room was the exit, which is the room, from the center of that hallway, 135° to the right. It is now open when it wasn't before.

Dream 11-62: Basement and a secret bank

Occurred on Oct 3, 2006; general - 6.5?; nature - 7; story - 6; scenery - 5.5?; fun - 6.5; scary - 2; weird - 4; imagery - 18% in tact; dream - 25% in tact

I don't recall much about the very beginning. I do recall having walked down several stairs (about 12). At the bottom is a door. I open it and in front of me is a sandy floor, old metallic shelves with very old stuff on it, like an abandoned underground storage area. There are stuffed animals and other things that seem to be from the 1970's. There are a few spider webs around, 4 in the entire basement. The basement is lit, but only by 40-watt lightbulbs (~500 lumens) spaced about 30 feet apart. The sand is a yellow-brown color and had rocks 250 to 800 micrometers in diameter. There were some side paths and a few doors, but almost every where I went as I explored this bizarre basement, I'd find shelves with items on them.

20 minutes later, I reached a dead end. At this dead end was a mask-like object on the left in a pile of bent metal - sheets, small rusted out I-beams, and other things, a sheet being on top giving it a more even curved look otherwise hiding the jumbled up mess. There was a ramp on the right side as I faced this jumbled up mess. I recall somehow setting off the mask which made a fairly loud (~75 dB) spooky laugh. Upon doing so, I saw something near the ramp. I used the ramp to access it which caused the wall ten feet before this to open up. As I faced the wall and jumbled up mess, it'd be on the right on the wall. This opening was only two feet wide and 18 inches tall or so. It was a tunnel. I went through it and ten feet to the other side, I found a secret bank. Someone else was here asking if I wanted to make a deposit. I didn't have anything with me so I returned. I went back to get some cash, a few small bills, and the dream ended when I got halfway through the basement.

Dream 11-63: Seeing skyscrapers on a trip to Chicago

Occurred on Oct 7, 2006; general - 7; nature - 7; story - 7.5; scenery - 7; fun - 7.5; scary - 2; weird - 2; imagery - 60% in tact; dream - 60% in tact

I recall several big parts and pieces of this dream. I'm on a road trip to Chicago. I was in a desert-like area supposedly outside the city. I could see several cacti, some of which just packed with thorns. The roads were entirely of a dusty gravel appearing a light brown (something like FFA060, ######). The sky was clear and it was broad daylight, like 1:00 PM or so. I was eager to see what the city was like and I looked out the windows often only to see farm fields and lots of cacti lining the road. After some time, we got near enough to the city so it could be seen, but it was very hard to see and was often blocked by hills, trees, and other obstacles. As we got closer, I extensively looked around but often couldn't see the city at all.

We soon reach the outskirts of town where I see several 2 and 3-story buildings that looked like houses or apartments. Lining the sides of the road are parked cars. I was on a high spot of a hill raised 10 feet above the bottom part of it. I soon enter the city, but I don't see any sky scrapers as the shorter buildings I'm right next to blocked my view. I entered two buildings, one was a grocery store. The other I don't recall.

Then was my chance to see the sky scrapers. We were to go to a very large red barn. My family couldn't find it and stopped at a restaurant. Even though I still didn't get to see the sky scrapers, this was my chance. I jumped up on top of buildings. I could only jump 14 2/3 feet meaning I had jump 20. I jumped on the roof of a one-story building then a 2-story building and so on up to 5, the tallest around me. From here, I could barely see the sky scrapers as they were still very far away (12 miles?). I jumped one more time and began gliding.

I don't recall much after this except where I was gliding about 1200 feet above everything. I was over the same area my family visitted the restaurant. I saw the large, red barn about 2/3 of a mile from it. I was gliding about 200 mph or so.

The last part was where I was in the country side again. I was in some wagon that was moving very fast, about 30 mph. I was once about to be thrown off into the cacti, but I somehow prevented that from happening by grabbing something and holding on. The dream ended around here.

Dream 11-64: 90 minutes of free rides at a theme park

Occurred on Oct 27, 2006; general - 7; nature - 7; story - 5; scenery - 8!; fun - 7.5; scary - 2; weird - 2; imagery - 85% in tact!; dream - 75% in tact

This dream has 4 parts. At the start, I was at a theme park. I, at first, looked around. At one point, everyone was allowed 90 minutes of free rides. I recall being in a school-locker-room-like area where there were plenty of yellow-colored lockers, but I don't recall much about this. It was after this episode that I heard the announcements. This is all I recall for the first part. The time was about 10 minutes after sunset. The sky had a bluish color near the area, but it was quite dark and best lit only by lights in the theme park.

Right away, after hearing the announcement, the second part of the dream, I went for the Superman roller coaster. It was very fast, like 140 mph, but very gentle in the way of turns. There were 2 speed bursts. The first one was a bit slower, about 110 mph, and there were more twists and turns. The remaining speed from the first speed burst was used to climb up a hill for the second, biggest speed burst. A pulley system (?) that involved chains that I could see from the car dragged the ride upwards. When heading back down, the roller coaster peaked at 140 mph. The ride was much smoother, but faster. There were "hills" in the track. The track was almost unlit and there seemed to be a pit below as it was very dark and didn't reflect light. The ride lasts about 3 minutes and it reminded me about the float run. At the end, I'm by the gate. I perform a double jump reaching 8 feet high total.

I leave and head for a ride that used a small wheel with 4 seats that spun around a large wheel around 25 feet in diameter. This is the third part. It has about 15 of the smaller circles. The large circle had a lot of high and low parts that went up and down randomly and it occasionally caused the the seats in the smaller circles to spin around at high speed in an otherwise random direction pulling around 2 G's of force. The smaller circles were about 3 feet in diameter. There was a walkway around the ride getting no closer than 4 feet to the ride and formed a square shape. There was a door made of a clear plexiglass-like material. Those in line could watch the ride through it. I had to blow my nose and I did. By then, the ride was filled. The ride operator checked for any available space and setup the safety devices. With no available space, even though I saw the empty places where womeone was, I'd have to wait a while before going. Oddly enough, I was left on the ride platform where others were behind the transparent doorway. After 8 seconds of the ride in action, I just decided to leave for another ride.

I went off toward another ride, part 4. Just as I left the slow-spinning ride, I was in an area packed with barker stands and rarely food stands. I ignore them. By now, it was fully night. I head for the area where the lockers were, what I saw in the first part. They formed a simple maze. There was a curved turn heading toward the left as I faced it and the room was was dimly lit, only by 15-watt lightbulbs (about 200 lumens) further dimmed due to a covering. There were two others here getting books and other stuff out of their lockers. I recall calling it a "jungle". After being here for 20 seconds, the dream ended.

Dream 11-65: Alien spaceship escape and mistaken robbery

Occurred on Nov 1, 2006; general - 5.5; nature - 5.5; story - 6.5; scenery - 5.5; fun - 4.5; scary - 3; weird - 3; imagery - 35% in tact; dream - 40% in tact

There are two parts to this dream. The first is where I'm in an alien spaceship. I don't recall how I got in, but I used a candy-like thing to escape. The aliens didn't want me to escape. I sneaked an escape. To escape, I put the red end of a candy-like object into a small hole and hold onto the green end. I got it through and started the green. The aliens caught me escaping but they decided to just let me go. I thanked them and continued on. The place I was in was like a space craft. Almost everything in it was the same light gray color, D0D0D0 (or ######). There was a sink behind me as I faced the 3-inch escape hatch. The sink has cupboards hanging from the 8-foot-high ceiling. 100° to my left as I faced the escape hole, was a chair 6 feet away. The rear was visible and there were a lot of tubes and pipes back here, at least the pattern of which appeared very 3D. In the background, 90° to my left, was where the alien came from. I don't recall what the alien looked like nor anything else about this part either.

The second part is where I visit a mall-like building. Something happened that caused almost everyone to flee. I went in the building and looked around. Someone told me security cameras were still working. I soon run into a doorway with a security camera above it. I enter and find a lot of shelves and even a safe. For some reason, the same was already open. I open it and see a lot of money inside. I only looked then closed the safe and left without taking anything. A few seconds later, a cop comes by thinking I stole the money. I told him he could search me and that I didn't take anything. He searched very thoroughly and found nothing. The search took 2 minutes. He let me go at this point. I continued on eventually leaving the building. I get into the parking lot where my parents are waiting to go to a party. The dream ends shortly after taking off.

Dream 11-66: Left to walk home and a few mishaps

Occurred on Nov 8, 2006; general - 6.5; nature - 7; story - 5.5; scenery - 6.5; fun - 7; scary - 2; weird - 2; imagery - 50% in tact; dream - 60% in tact

I only recall the last 10 minutes of this 4-part dream. From the start from what I do recall, I was riding in mom's van okay until I reached an area where a college/university was. I was to be left out to otherwise walk home. One of the first things I recall doing is using the flash attack into a narrow passage of walls. This caused me to bounce back and forth between the walls. I went out into the grassy field.

I don't recall how I did it, but I was in an open area where a sandy area divided a road within a town. Not knowing where I was, I looked around for street signs. I saw a "21st avenue SE" sign meaning I was nearly 7 miles from home. I didn't catch the street number. I recall playing with the sand a bit and jumping around. There was someone here as well. At one point, I jumped awkwardly landing in the roadway. A white station-wagon-like car was coming so I quickly got back into the sand area. I then just walk along the sand to the right of where I saw the avenue number sign. Near the end of the patch, where the sand met up with the road, I recall someone who was drenched with water and I wanted to go in the water. There were no rivers around that I knew of.

The third part, of 4, is where I'm in a grassy area off the side. The wind was strong, about 25 mph, and it made gliding tough. I tried to get a start, but was unable to. Oddly enough, I could remain steady and the mere change of tilting my hands caused me to go higher or lower. I wanted an area blocked by the wind and got there.

This is part 4. I saw someone up ahead who I recall as "Devin". I jump and start gliding. I pick up speed quite well. I was on top of a slope, a great place to pick up lots of speed. I glide straight for 5 seconds. Devin was trying to block me so I made a quick left turn. He was running as fast as I was gliding - 20 to 25 mph. He managed to block me. The dream ended after being blocked twice.

Dream 11-67: A look at military training and a big rescue I made

Occurred on Nov 14, 2006; general - 7?; nature - 8.5!?; story - 7.5??; scenery - 5.5?; fun - 6.5?; scary - 4?; weird - 2??; imagery - 18% in tact; dream - 15% in tact

There are 2 parts to this dream. The first is where I'm on a tour through a building that looks like a cave instead of a building. It's manmade and seems like a training ground for the army. I only recall the last part of this. The army trainees were to climb some wall/cliff. I recall watching them use ropes and other tools to do it. After a while, I do it from my watch area with a simple 40-foot jump. There was at least one other area before this, but I don't recall it or anything else about the first part.

The second part is what caused the scary rating to be rather high. It is the next area after the first part. I had to leave the building. There was a river below that had a very strong green color and didn't have much in the way of currents. There were many others here as well, about 10, and all in the river. A bridge was above. I believe I jumped down from the second-story window of that building. Someone who was mean played tricks on those in the river trying to injure them or cause death. I could sense his every action and gets the others to safety. He failed twice due to my abilities. I don't recall what they were, but they were attacks he could cause to injure those in the water. I could sense him getting frustrated and amazed. The third one, the most well-recalled, was where I sensed heaviness. I got everyone out from under the bridge and as I swam away from it, large 4-feet-in-diameter concrete "pipes" fell from the bottom of the bridge. 4 of these fell and no one was hit by them, except the harmless splash they caused. The "pipes" were about 25 feet long and could easily weigh 5 tons. The bridge was 30 feet wide and about 50 feet long. The pipes fell parallel with the bridge (the long side of the pipes is parallel with the length of the bridge). The dream ends here.

Dream 11-68: Desert ski lift, weird plants, and playing with quicksand

Occurred on Nov 28, 2006; general - 6.5???; nature - 6???; story - X; scenery - 5.5??; fun - 5???; scary - 3???; weird - 2???; imagery - 15% in tact; dream - 10% in tact

I only recall the last part. I'm riding an object like a ski lift. This object takes you across a huge, vast desert with golden-yellow-colored sand. There are many plants with hard, sharp-looking, very light brown branches in the area. Some stand as tall as 8 feet, but were only about 4 inches around. They looked rather scary to me and I was afraid to touch them. I was supposedly with someone. I was told there were pools of quicksand around as well. This made me tempted to get out of the ski-lift-like thing and jump in. I did even though I was told not to, and only did so when those "scary" plants weren't around. I rode the ski lift for about 10 to 12 minutes and was taken to otherwise the middle of nowhere. A long silver-colored wire was what the machine went across with and hung on. I was left alone in the desert. I find a pool of quicksand barely 5 seconds later and begin playing in it. The dream ends 15 seconds later.

Dream 11-69: Lawn mower inventions and driving into town lost

Occurred on Nov 29, 2006; general - 5.5??; nature - 5??; story - 6??; scenery - 5??; fun - 6???; scary - 1??; weird - 3??; imagery - 18% in tact; dream - 18% in tact

There are 2 parts. The first is where I mow the grass the normal way but get an idea. Rather than using gas, why not use the wind from moving? I tried a design where wind was taken and compressed. The compressed air rotated the blades. I tried 2 different speeds to test it - 3 mph (average walking speed) and 10 mph (run). There was no difference as I had the wind collectors backwards. I tried making fixes but without success. The collectors were nothing more than pipe 1 1/2 inches in diameter and a funnel at the end to collect and funnel the wind pressurizing it. The pipe was metallic of a very light gray color.

The second part is where I drove mom's van. I went to the east initially to about 70th street, which is unknown territory to me. I wanted to return but was lost. I made several turns watching the street and avenue signs to find out what direction I'm going. I head into the city and encounter the main highway, the main familiar territory. I knew how to get home from here. The dream ends about 10 seconds later. In the early part of the drive, I once reached 77 mph, in a 55 zone. During the turns, I had a hard time stopping as my shoes often got in the way and I seemed weak. At one red light in town, I had to slam on the brakes and ended up 4 feet across the end of the crosswalk.

Dream 11-70: Gliding around a construction site across a farm field

Occurred on Dec 11, 2006; general - 6.5??; nature - 8!??; story - 6.5???; scenery - 5.5?; fun - 7??; scary - 1???; weird - 2??; imagery - 20% in tact; dream - 8% in tact

I only recall the last 10 minutes and a brief event before this. The event is where there were ghosts and that my house was the scene. I don't have any recalled scenes of this, nor what even happened. I otherwise don't recall anything about it.

At the end, I was around my house looking across the field to the south. There was something over there I was interested in. My dad did not want me to go there but I did anyway. I used my special abilities to get over there, gliding being the only one I recall and it was used a lot. I crossed the field rather quickly reaching about 100 mph. I got too low and power lines prevented me from getting the height I needed. I reached the area in about a minute.

There were a series of 16 to 20 rods here forming a perfect n-gon shape (n is the number of sides, from 16 to 20). The spacing between them is 30 feet. There were long 4x4 wooden beams spanning the distance between the rods. There were several missing. I don't recall how it happened, but my dad was here in the next scene. He was using his tools to assist the others on getting the beams up and connected. I, while this happened, began gliding around to see what else there was. The dream ended around here.
