Unlike the related travel dreams, these dreams involve actually exploring the area, whether it's my home town or some other area. Just being in the area going from one house to another doesn't count. These dreams are recalled quite well.

Dream 11-51: Trip with a friend

I'm on a trip with "Bill Nye" as I call him. I'm with two others. I don't recall the story well, but I do have plenty of recalled scenes, but almost nothing in the way of imagery and no real story. During the day scene, I was near some houses with a fence around them. I don't recall much about this scene though. In another scene, I'm by a beach. I'm walking in the water no more than knee deep. It was like an ocean and it was night with only a cresent Moon. A third scene recalled is where I'm walking knee deep in snow wearing shorts. This, too, was at night, but vaguely recalled. The fourth scene I recall is where the group wanted to return home. During this scene, I was in some kind of hotel. I wanted to go swimming, but forgot my swimsuit. I don't recall much else.
Dream 11-52: My trip to the Mall of America

I've been to the Mall of America at least twice. In my dream, me, my sister, and her 2 friends were with us. At first, all was normal. We were walking along together passing by a lot of the shopping centers on the 3 floors. I recall being on the second floor, possibly the third floor as well. The theme park in the middle wasn't really there in my dream. Mike, who had fairly long hair, wanted to speak with me. The rest of the group goes up ahead of us. We speak for a short time until we separated again. I was looking around for my group for some time, but didn't see them. I tried getting a sense of my position. There was an arcade visit around this time. I didn't play any of the games though.
Things then got a little weird at this point. There was an eviction notice saying that we had to get out. I found my group shortly after. The whole building was being evicted. Outside were a bunch of protesters. They were saying of building a new Mall of America. Protesters were against that. I saw the Mayor. There was a note having "T.B.D." on it. I asked him what it meant. He looked it up and said "to be", but mentioned that he wouldn't say the rest. We then headed for our car.
However, we were forced on a train up a fairly steep slope which rose about 10 feet above the main ground. The slope was about a 2:5 grade, thus very steep. Just as I first looked at this, a panel from the side of the box car was removed and inside was some seating and plenty of hay. I was told to go in the car based on a label I had. I had the number two on a wristband I had. I then ran up the slope at high speed almost in a float run whizzing past 4 others at about 40 mph, including someone 7 feet to my left in a wheelchair of which I passed by. We mainly just waited in here for a few minutes.
We were then instructed to get into a long bus. The bus drove along some odd route that was circular (not a circle, but like a circuit in a circuit race). I was carrying a black, wireless keyboard with me. I typed "?+color = orange;" in it. I don't know the first thing I typed, and the second thing was a color of some kind, most likely blue. The bus returned to the area after about 8 minutes or so.
I got into the van owned by my sister and we finally left. The dream ended around here.
Dream 11-53: A class in Spookville
Occurred on May 26, 2004; general - 6; nature - 7; story - 7??; scenery - 6.5; fun - 5.5?; scary - 3?; weird - 5?; imagery - 60% in tact; dream - 30% in tact
At the start of what I recall, classes in school were going normally. When gym came, that's where the mystery began. When I arrived, the class wasn't present, neither was the teacher. In the dressing room was a strange portal. I pass through it and end up in a weird place.
The weird place I arrive in has a light reddish-tan ground with pools of water scattered around. The water was so clear-looking, you could almost see 50 feet beneath with great clarity. There were several rivers of water around in a grid-like pattern. Some bones and picket fences made of sharp wire (spooky-looking) were also scattered around and there were some buildings as well, but very few. The buildings were bright and made of stone that looks very smooth.
When I arrived, the class was barely visible in the distance walking all in a straight line at a very smooth pace, so smooth in fact they seemed like zombies or sleep-walking. After a long while of being with the class trying to figure out what was going on, I got bored. I soon see what appears to be a volleyball court. A see a sign saying "cross water to get to volleyball court - you lose, you die". The sign was a very light tan color and there was yellow-green text written on it.
I tried stopping the leader of this group, but they didn't seem to even know I was around. I jump up and glide across the small river of water. I see a very bright building nearby having "torture chamber" written on it. I casted ice36 on it. This causes a series of huge ice crystals to appear over the object and freeze it very quickly. The building then shatters due to the huge temperature difference that it couldn't handle. I do recall the water rising after finally managing to free the group from their zombification. I don't recall what else happened though, but this is the best I know.

Note: This dream was reported as a story, but somehow wasn't included in the dream journal. Although it has been highly enhanced by my mind game (at the time), the dream content above is what really happened in the dream to the best I know.
Dream 11-54: The snow town and office building

Although not strongly recalled, the first part of what I can recall is where I'm driving a motorcycle along roads that have a lot of snow on the sides of them, eventually to a point where it's on the road. At the end of the motorcycle driving part, I come across a 4:3 slope (on average) rising 7 feet above the road way, right in the middle of the roadway) that has a lot of snow covering it. I stop and manually climb up the hill. At the top, I can see a small village, a tall building as one of them. There was a flat-looking bed of snow covering the village's floor. I don't recall how deep the snow was (no worthy recalled scene), but given the slope and my only scene of someone in the snow (of which is blurred due to fog-like conditions), the snow is about 6 inches deep (with a large margin of error).
The next part is where I'm inside some building, seemingly some kind of office building. I had to work my way through it to accomplish something, but don't recall what. I do recall that this part had a video-game-like nature, but not a video game as it seemed too life-like. The interior was quite bright (well-lit) with light colors used, generally a very light whitish-brown (or about FFC8B0). I don't recall anything else about this dream, however.
Dream 11-55: Lost in a house, playing with hills, and a doctor appointment

I don't recall much about this dream, just a few minor and moderate details. The first part I recall (no scene recalled) is being in a house with 4 floors and about 4 rooms. The house was a maze and a mess. It appeared to be an old house. A friend supposedly lived here. I don't recall much what happened, but I do recall that I was told to leave.
The second part, of which I have one scene recalled, is where it's night and I'm outside playing in some hilly area in town. I jump off of a rather steep hill (a 1:2 slope dropping about 12 feet down), of which a road is going parallel with it, fall, then do a fall-glide-hop. I was running at about 15 mph when I jumped over the cliff's edge.
The third part was some sort of doctor appointment. I only recall the waiting room, of which was brightly lit. I had photos of dogs so it was probably a vet's office. I recall discussion about these photos. I do recall a fourth scene where I returned, but the details are too vague.
Dream 11-56: Mansion baddies and golf, and an animation

I recall two parts in this dream. The first is that I'm in a mansion, an old one that is dimly lit. It has several mouseholes and a few spider webs. I recall two bad guys wanting to injure or torture someone. I recall them taking a friend of mine. I start going after them exploring the mansion. I recall grabbing a large needle, going to one of the guys and getting him with it. I didn't do this once, but 3 times. I follow the baddies all around. I was more than they could handle. During the mansion scene, I recall some minigolf game built inside. I recall the ball being putted toward the hold then making nearly a dozen orbits on the seemingly frictionless surface around the hole. The ball found a lower area an inch from the hole.
The other part was where I made an animation. Rather than moving the ground, I moved the character instead. The middle of the animation was fine, of which had some sort of brick castle. At the end of the dream, I recall having to fix the animation. I don't recall if I had to fix the last frames though.
Dream 11-57: The search for decors at the Mall of America

Yet another dream featuring the Mall of America. I wanted special decors of some kind (like a tattoo, but different). This version of the Mall of America is different than the real one although considerably close. There were 3 sections, two "normal" having shops and the theme park, but an odd third that leads outside. I don't recall the story, just a major details. I do recall visitting 3 or 4 stores, but I otherwise have no idea what happened, except waiting for something at the counter of one of them. This single scene I recall features the counter as black, the carpet as a dark red, and the area in the back made of small ornament-like things. I also recall being in the rides area, but not doing anything there.
Dream 11-58: An unusual survival camp

I hardly recall anything in the way of this dream's story, but I have detailed scenery descriptions. I'm in some sort of survival camp area. I only recall two areas. The first area consists of a large circular ring. The pathway is littered with autumn leaves of many colors. The south side, given the map below, is where there are very few leaves. The north side, however, is completely packed with leaves, stacked 3 to 4 inches deep and otherwise quite even-looking. A concrete wall 9 feet tall lines the outer edge of this circle and there's a central area where a 2-foot wall is. I don't exactly recall what the central area had in it, but the color as seen in my recalled scene matches that of the map below. On the east and west sides of this pathway are more paths. I came from the pathway on the east side. From this, I headed toward the southern half of the circle.
I was, when I got 3/4 of the way around to the western path, working on a fill-in puzzle. This fill-in puzzle was like the basic type of crossword puzzle where each letter is rarely used twice by the same word and otherwise doesn't have any black squares. While doing this fill-in puzzle, an odd cloud in the shape of Ghostwriter drifted along overhead. Ghostwriter is made of 3 circles each with half the diameter of the previous starting from the larger circle. The spacing between the circles, of which are centered, is the radius of the medium-sized circle (half its diameter). This dark blue-gray "cloud" covered about 70° of my field of view at the largest, when straight overhead. When it passed over, I was given the answers for the fill-in which were short-lived, but enough to get me finished in record time. I don't recall anything else about the first area.
The second area, supposedly sometime after taking the path to the west, is of a pathway that is about 8 feet wide. The pathway area was lined with cliffs of dirt 8 feet high that were almost straight vertical. The inlet on the map below shows what this area was like. The color of the mud, however, is not dark brown as shown on the map (I did that for high contrast), but rather C06030 (or ######). I don't recall going in the mud or doing anything with it as the dream ended shortly after seeing this area.
Dream 11-59: Building with very tall grass and a pathway

I have two recalled scenes for this dream and 3 parts. The first part is where I'm inside a building, sort of like a train station. There are seats welded together in triplets near a wall 8 feet high and about 20 feet long made of glass. Each pane of glass was 4 feet high and 3 feet wide. Between them was a metallic connector, of a bronze color, and an inch wide that supposedly kept the glass wall in tact. Outside was a vast grassy field. Along side the building was some sort of miniature canal system that was two inches deep and 2 feet wide. I recall having to look for a way to get across it without going over it. The water in it was very crystal clear. The grass outside was 4 feet tall for the most part and this grass was dark. A small pathway, however, had an area of grass 3 to 4 inches tall and the grass was lighter. The path had a few twists and turns, but is otherwise vaguely recalled. The grass didn't have any seeds at their tops. It was during broad daylight and a cloudless sky. There was very little wind.
As to the story, I was first in the building looking out the glass window. I see a way to exit the building without going into the very tall grass or the canal. I recall following the pathway for almost 3/4 of a mile with someone else. The one I was with couldn't return due to some medical problem so I jump up nearly 500 feet high and start gliding directly toward the building at a high speed. While in the air, I looked down at the building and path. The grass was so high, even at 500 feet, I could see where it was higher quite well. There were two easily distinguishable shades of green that marked where the path was. I returned to the building and don't recall the story past this except at the very end of the dream. Here, I found an even better way to get into the pathway and I start heading for it dodging the canal. The dream ended two seconds after I start heading for it. Dream 11-60: Vacation discussions and a road trip through the mountains

I first recall being in a building where those 18-wheelers get the trailers. There's snow on the ground about a quarter inch deep. The sky was overcast but no precipitation was present. My whole family was here. We discussed a possible vacation spot. I immediately mentioned Hawaii. I don't recall what the others said. I also don't recall what else happened from here to my next recalled scenes.
The second part is where I'm riding the van through some mountainous area. I recall a long, straight path rising upwards 900 feet at a 3:1 to 6:1 slope ratio with 4:1 being the most common. At the top of this lengthy climb, I then discovered just where I was. I was very amazed at the very pretty scenery. The sky was overcast and it was drizzling. I could see some of the mountains peaking into the clouds. I was only about 600 or so feet below the bottom of the clouds. The mountains had a lot of greenery with a few patches of clouds in the lower areas, but otherwise hard to see. There were a few small bodies of water and an occasional river or two, which looked quite gray. The lowest point from where I was was about 3000 to 4000 feet down. The visibility was about 2.5 to 3 miles. I asked for the camera and I was told to get it from the purse I was given. It had a lot of stuff in it and dug into it for a bit, but never found it. We then started heading back down and I couldn't find the camera in time. I did find it, but it wasn't until trees and things blocked it.
We reached a small town (population around 40,000, about that of my home town (which is rather large to me)) and I asked if my sister (or some family member, most likely my sister) would get some. The town was mostly one-story buildings with occasional 2 to 5 story buildings focused toward the center, much like that of my home town.
The last part I recall is is driving through the mountains again, only with lightning strikes in the background and the clouds about 200 feet higher. I got the pictures I was after, where the scenery looked a tad better than before, and about 30 seconds after getting the photo, the dream ended.
