What are your exploration dreams?

Unlike the related travel dreams, these dreams involve actually exploring the area, whether it's my home town or some other area. Just being in the area going from one house to another doesn't count. These dreams are recalled quite well.

Noteworthy dreams in this category:
11-3: This dream is extremely well-recalled and with with 98% in tact, it's near the record. A story has been posted for it.
11-5: This dream is the second-oldest recalled dream and it also sparked my interest for writing stories.
11-9: This dream is well-recalled and has been posted as a story.
11-10: This dream is very well-recalled and posted as a story.
11-12: This dream is well-recalled, but very boring with dull scenery. It should be posted as a story.
11-18: This dream is well-recalled and should be posted as a story. It also occurred at least twice.
11-20: This dream is very well-recalled and should be posted as a story.
11-23: This dream is very well-recalled and should be posted as a story.
11-25: This dream is well-recalled and should be posted as a story.
11-30: I recreated the scenes in this well-liked dream in 3D and posted some screenshots. I wished this dream would recur as well. I also once started a miniature novel on it as well but never finished (about 24 pages or so, around 8% complete).
11-33: This dream is very well-recalled and should be posted as a story. Not only that, but it has occurred twice and both cases are remarkably well-recalled.
11-39: This dream has the longest known play time and is extremely well-recalled. At 97% in tact, the entire dream is recalled to the finest of detail and it has a very good story to it. 11-44: This dream is very well-recalled and should be posted as a story.
11-49: This dream has the story recalled to very fine detail, but hardly anything in the way of scenes are recalled. This is a rather unusual difference.
11-53: Although previously recalled, it was strangely missing from my dream journal and it was enhanced by my mind game. Fortunately, I still recalled quite a bit of the dream when I later added it.
11-81: This dream, in addition to being very well-liked, is the first dream to feature Speed. I believe it hinted at the return to the rewriting my main story, of which finally happened.
11-87: This dream is very well recalled with the story 88% in tact (thus posted as a story). It is also a favorite.

Dream 11-41: A ladder climbing craze

Occurred between May through July of 2005; general - X; story - X; fun - X; scary - X; weird - X; 1% in tact!!!

Though not strongly recalled, all I know of is that I was climb up these ladders and there were a lot of them. Some of them broke and I had to glide from one ladder to another. The setting cannot be recalled (I'm seeing a vast empty space that is rather bright, but I cannot confirm this). Even what the ladders looked like were unknown. As far as I know, I was exploring thus I placed it in this category instead of the other category.

Dream 11-42: Lost in a cramped town

Occurred ; general - ; nature - ; story - ; scenery - ; fun - ; scary - ; weird - ; imagery - % in tact; dream - % in tact

Occurred around mid-2004; general - 6.5?; story - 6???; fun - 7?; scary - 1?; weird - 2?; 16% in tact

At first, I'm gliding along peacefully just exploring. I soon come to a town where I wanted to look around. What I did in here, I don't recall. However, when I tried to get out, I was lost and seemingly going around in circles. I'm gliding around the small town with roads only 9 feet wide or so (unlike the more typical 30 feet or so) and the buildings are placed so close to each other, often with a small 4-foot-wide pathway between them for what few buildings actually had a path way. I was gliding along the wider routes but kept coming to the same buildings again and again seeing the court house and a small uncurved arch (having hard edge angles only smoothed out at the top) before it came up like 4 times or so. I don't recall the name of the town, however. I think I finally got out of the town, but I don't recall if I did or not.

Recalled scenes:
1. I'm in an open field gliding (at an unknown speed) about 300 feet or so above the ground.
2. I soon come across an unusual looking town. The buildings were spaced rather close to each other, unusually close from what I've seen. The town looked old-fashioned on the outside. The buildings were of random colors, all bright colors like a light red or a light orange. The roads weren't designed for cars but had an interesting pattern and were fairly dark (a dark gray around 404040).
3. I see an arch with a hard edge forming a triangle. The arch was about a foot wide (maybe 18 inches - bad position (and angle of view) to really tell) and the slope was about a 4:1 slope which isn't really all that steep. Just 180 feet or so down the road, about 3 buildings and the 9-foot-wide pathways, I see a very light gray court house with "Court House" written near the top of the 3:1 slope roof. The letters were fancy looking and somewhat yellowish in color. The bad lighting and brightness of the court house building makes it tough to give a precise color. The color in my scene appears to be F0D080.

Dream 11-43: A monster cliff near a fair

Occurred ; general - ; nature - ; story - ; scenery - ; fun - ; scary - ; weird - ; imagery - % in tact; dream - % in tact

Occurred on Oct 7, 2005; general - 8.5!?; story - 6??; fun - 8!?; scary - 0??; weird - 1??; 18% in tact

The beginning has been forgotten quite well. From what I can recall, I see a very high cliff nearly 1000 feet high covered with grass with a fair near it (about 4000 feet away). The cliff is very steep, a 1:8 slope ratio on average. I jump up and glide toward it. When I reach it, I turn to glide parallel with it. After some time, I realize that I was going extremely fast (about 300 mph or so). I pull straight up in an attempt to lose that speed. At the top of the cliff, I see a roadway. I think the roadway has 4 lanes. Looking below, I can see the fair. It's barely visible and fogged out quite well (60% fogged out). The scenery from up here was very nice, despite a 1.5-mile visibility in the low areas. I don't recall much else, however.

Recalled scenes:
1. I'm gliding along side the cliff at a very high speed. The cliff is roughly a thousand feet high and it had an average slope ratio of 1:8 meaning that, for every one foot you move horizontally, you go up 8 feet and thus very steep. Lining almost the entire cliff is grass and from being 300 feet away from it going 300 mph, it was quite pretty.
2. I pull straight up in my glide and I reach the top of the cliff with ease. I can see a 4-lane roadway about 15 feet or so from the cliff's edge being the closest.
3. I then land on the edge of the cliff and look over the edge to see the fair, mostly white and light gray, being fogged out quite well. Given some numbers, the visibility is around 8500 feet.

Dream 11-44: Toy car race and an ancient museum

Occurred on Oct 10, 2005; general - 8!; nature - 8.5!; story - 7; scenery - 6; fun - 7.5; scary - 1; weird - 1; imagery - 90% in tact!; dream - 80% in tact!

My sister is supposedly going to have a tournament. She needed those small toy cars (nonpowered cars that are like 2 1/2 inches long by an inch wide). She wanted the "master cars", the smoothest-moving ones. I didn't want her to take them so I had to guard against that. She got into plenty of verbal fights over it and almost went into the physical zone.

A skip occurs in the dream. I'm now in an outdoor setting. There's a small forest in the background quite a ways away, but there was something suspicious about it. The forest was wide and tall, but not that far in terms of depth. The trees only extended out 25 feet from the front. Behind that was an old museum in ruins - cracked floors, cracked and broken columns, missing chunks of a wall, typical of ruins. The museum was an empty area.

I recall having to race someone. I had to race to the trees in the background, about a mile away from where I was (hard to say for sure). I dashed ahead in the float run. The other guy I was racing with was pretty fast - 150 mph. To really get ahead, I jumped a short ways up and used the flash attack really leaving him behind. I turn around to watch him shrink rapidly from the increasing distance. When close to the trees, I slam on the brakes actually getting a feel for how it feels to stop as I do in my mind game. I slip past the first bunch of trees going roughly 60 mph and stop a third of the way into an abandoned museum.

The museum is about 100 feet long by 30 feet wide with walls going about 8 feet up at the highest points. I look around and I see a cliff at the edge. If I stepped over the edge, I'd have a long way down. Straight across were mountains. I wanted to find out how far away those mountains were so I wanted to dash toward the trees again. The dream ends before I could do that.

Recalled scenes:
1. I'm in my house. I'm by the area where my dad's computer is. My sister is at my dad's computer using it. My sister asks if I can use those "master cars", small toy cars that moved very smoothly, but were rather expensive and I feared she'd wreck them. I told her "no" and a verbal fight began almost becoming physical, but that didn't happen as far as I know.
2. I'm outdoors. About a mile away, going about 0.8° above the ground from my position (using the Moon as a guide to estimate this, the Moon is 0.5°). Behind are some faint, barely visible bluish colored objects that didn't move thus not indicating possible water. From where I was up to the trees, it was a large, open field.
3. I'm racing with someone who also happens to have the float run, only not as fast as I was. I figure that he was going 150 mph ±5. I was going 200. I jump only 2 or so inches above the ground and use the flash attack to dash ahead at double his speed. Near the end, I slam on the brakes and whiz past the trees at 60 mph at first stopping inside the museum.
4. The museum has a strong bluish-cyan color to it. It looks ancient given the textures and design. The museum had columns, a tiled floor, and 8-foot walls made only of this bluish-colored stone. Everything had a crack in it whether it was cracked floors, cracked and broken columns, missing chunks of a wall, or the edge of the floor near the cliff, typical of old stone ruins. Standing at the edge of the cracked floor, I can clearly see mountains on a steep 1:1 cliff (slope ratio). I figured that I was in some mountainous area, but unusually high for how things looked.

Dream 11-45: The Scotland musical

Occurred in early 2003; general - 6.5; nature - 7; story - 6???; scenery - 6.5; fun - 7; scary - 1; weird - 0; imagery - 30% in tact; dream - 18% in tact

I'm in Scotland in this dream. There is a music festival going on - bag pipes as you may expect. From what I can recall, I started to explore the high and steep hills as well as cliffs. I think that there was a pathway throughout this very grassy area. I climbed around on these hills for some time. Near the end of the dream, the music festival was going on. I'm on the highest point nearest the music players. It's a slope with a 1:1 slope ratio. This dream took place in day time with a clear sky. I recall going around this "trail". Along the trail was a near-vertical 1:12 cliff that rose about 30 feet above the ground from the base of the trail. I do recall climbing up it with success and getting a nice view, but don't have any recalled scenes of this.

Dream 11-46: Haunted theme park

Occurred in late 2002 or early 2003; general - 5?; nature - 4?; story - 5???; scenery - 4; fun - 6.5?; scary - 5; weird - 5; imagery - 35% in tact; dream - 15% in tact

Theme parks are normally meant for fun, but something littered with spooky-looking picket fences, brown grass, homes to ghosts, tombstones all over, and other things like that, it makes you think again. Though moderately forgotten, I recall riding a roller coaster through a very dark cave. Inside this cave, there were few orange lights and strange, highly transparent objects like ghosts moving around in there. Unlike the normal special effects, these things seemed unusually real. The roller coaster took you through these caverns and an estimated 35 mph at the average fastest. I recall a very steep slope in one area where the speed peaked to nearly 50 mph, but that was a very short duration and at the beginning.

The surface had a lot of dirt, brown grass (as if dead), tombstones with "RIP" on them scattered all around, and some caves supposedly where rides where. One cave had goblins in it, very scary to me and thus I never went in. I recall looking into it, but was too scared to look for longer than a second.

Dream 11-47: Mid-air platform paths

Occurred in early or mid-2005; general - 7??; nature - 6?; story - X; scenery - 7; fun - 6.5?; scary - 3?; weird - 5?; imagery - 20% in tact; dream - 7% in tact

A cross between a video game, exploration, and a weird dream, this dream involves mostly exploration. From what I know, I'm in a large room, near a half of a square mile, and in it are a bunch of platforms suspended in mid-air. The area is well-lit and there's quite a bit of yellows and reds. In one scene I recall, I see 3 platforms ahead (to my right), with another (after a left turn along the path), slightly higher. The platforms are more around 12 square feet (about a 3 3/7 foot square on each side) and about 3 inches tall. I recall going around this odd area and visiting about 5 places or so. One was a restaurant. I had a friend (unknown to me) who guided me around. The setting was kind of futuristic. I don't recall much else about this unusual dream.

Dream 11-48: Gliding around my home town

Occurred on Nov 9, 2005; general - 6??; nature - 8.5!?; story - X; scenery - 6?; fun - 7??; scary - 1??; weird - 2??; imagery - 25% in tact; dream - 9% in tact

I'm in my home town supposedly in a school. I don't recall much and I know for sure there's one part before what I can recall. The scene shows my parent's vehicle parked in a parking lot, a fairly empty one. The van was next to a fence in front of a building. I'm gliding toward it. Another, earlier scene is where I'm near the "bad school", the one I disliked most (Central Campus) at a crosswalk with the "don't walk" light flashing. I run across (possibly glid) at almost 20 mph or so. Don't walk means "don't walk" having nothing to do with running or gliding across. I don't really know what happened in this dream besides what I can get from these two scenes. In the fence-next-to-a-building scene, I glide past my mom at 25 mph or so (she's walking at only 3 mph).

Dream 11-49: Two hotels for textures and a city

Occurred on Dec 2, 2005; general - 7; nature - 7; story - 6; scenery - 7; fun - 7; scary - 1; weird - 3; imagery - 20% in tact; dream - 85% in tact!

I only recall one part of this dream. There was a second, a game, but it's practically forgotten other than it was at the beginning of the dream. From what I can recall, however, I leave my house heading north-northeast through trees. I glide through the trees and continue on going very fast. I enter an empty field passing 200 mph near the end. I slow down to around 60 mph when I stop at another group of trees. The trees were in some kind of marsh. I come to a complete stop in here.

In this area, there were pools of water scattered around that looked very clean and clear. I kind of wanted to walk around in this water some. I find a hotel just ahead and enter. The clerk asks if I want to stay. I say "no" and that I've never been to a hotel and just want to look around. I look around for some time noting textures, as if getting ideas for my 3D games. I soon leave an enter town, not my home town though. I go to a second hotel with the samething happening but a different design. I don't recall much about the textures in the hotel, but I recall looking at one of the rooms and one of the bathrooms of a mid-class type room (between the cheap and luxury ones). I recall stone tiles, but vaguely.

After leaving, I'm driving a car. That goes fine for some time. The odd thing about this car is that the controls (steering wheel, gas, brake, etc.) were on the right side rather than the usual left. Then, for some reason, the gas pedal gets stuck and the brakes won't respond. I watch my speedometer pass 90 mph when I finally fix it slamming on the brakes stopping cleanly just a few feet short of an intersection. The car continues to give me trouble after this point. Despite slamming on my brakes, the car wouldn't stop fast enough and at some cases, I had to make a turn at 10 mph, sometimes as high as even 25 mph without stopping. There were 3 turns made like this, right turns to minimize the chances of a crash. This driving scene was during the evening, about 30 minutes before the Sun fully disappears below the horizon.

I then visit a gas station or a convienience store. I grab a soda (12 ounce cup from fountain without the ice) but don't drink it. I wanted to give the soda back telling that I didn't drink it. The clerk said that they wouldn't allow it. I had to drink it and pay a measely 35¢ for it. When paying, I took out a few coins from my pocket; a nickle and a dime were the first two. With that failing, I took out all of my coins. I had 40 or so of them. There were no pennies, 25 of them were dimes, 10 were nickles, and 5 were quarters (no state quarters were in there; approximate counts based on my recalled scene). I don't recall the design of one of my coins clearly, but I think one of them had a star covering a large chunk of the surface. I give a different quarter instead. I pay for the soda then leave. The dream ends shortly afterward.

Dream 11-50: Canyon maze craze

Occurred on Dec 12, 2005; general - 6; nature - 6.5; story - 6.5; scenery - 6.5; fun - 7; scary - 2; weird - 3; imagery - 35% in tact; dream - 80% in tact!

I'm in some kind of canyon resembling a maze. High up is a river bending around an even higher spot that I can't see. 600 feet below with all those ledges around is another river system. Scattered around are red and green bundles of paper that floated in mid-air and spun around, like you may find in video games. The sides of this canyon were a golden yellow color.

At first, the upper area was covered with grass. I explored for some time. Then, in high speed (time lapse), a big blizzard comes. The river at the top froze solid and rather than grass, it was two inches of snow. Someone in here noticed special objects in the river ice. He/she walked onto the river ice and got the coin by standing on the ice and sinking into it. The coin was collected like in video games - touch it, you get it. A second coin was collected this way as well. It was my turn next, but the coins were taken.

I took a raft of some kind (seemingly a log raft from my recalled scene) and rode the curved ledges down into the valley. I experienced 0 G's for about 3 seconds or so while I fell then the log raft caught the curves very nicely and slew me down doing no damage to me at all. In the valley, I was to collect all of the red bundles of paper (money?). Above, it was kind of cold, but in the lower area, it was tropical-like. There was another river, a warm one, in this canyon. I don't recall going in the river, but I think I did for a very short time period.

As I explored, I found a strange area with a box in it. I make a few attempts to get this box and got close several times. It was about 15 times until I managed to get it. I had to do the double jump just right in order to get it right. I went through the area again to grab the green bundles of peper.

From here, I took the box contents to some special room which was some light gray moving plant (or bug, not sure which). This object was stubborn and hard to get rid of, although it was very slow. This special room was very crowded with toys and other objects. The walls were blue, the shelves were a light gray metallic color, and there were close to 10 shelves in my recalled scene with probably 200 toys in my field of view, mostly dolls made of cloth and stuffed. I don't recall exactly how I got here though. After getting rid of that gray thing, the dream ended one second after I dashed through this special room.
