Unlike the related travel dreams, these dreams involve actually exploring the area, whether it's my home town or some other area. Just being in the area going from one house to another doesn't count. These dreams are recalled quite well.

Dream 11-31: The misty world

Though I've already posted a dream about being on a new or different planet, this one may be one, but it's vaguely remembered. All I can recall is that I was outside in this very dense rainforest-like environment. It was downright hot. The air temp, according to the residents was often around 110°F with even 90% humidity (talk about heat indexes way up there!). I went out and looked around. When I was out quite a ways, all I could see is lush greenery that is very densely packed. When I turn back, I can see the building I came from, which was silver-like and resembles a greenhouse, only, instead of being designed to trap heat, the building is supposedly designed to prevent heat from even getting in. This world was like Earth being 25 million miles closer to the Sun (Earth is actually 93 million miles from the Sun, the planet in this dream was more around 70, or so it seemed, about the area of Venus' orbit).
Recalled scenes:
1. I'm outside in the wilderness and I see greenery covering almost my entire field of view. There's also a distinguishable pathway made from lighter greens that leads into the dense forest.
2. About 150 to 200 feet from the building I came from, I look at the building I'm seeing. The building has a lot of silvery-colored stuff. The building appears to extend about 35 degrees above the horizon (probably about 20 feet as a guess). The silver-like panels were very bright as if reflecting the intense sunlight.

Some of my dreams feature racing. I was throwing a large rock (about 5 by 3 by 2 inches) into a river. I did a running jump to make sure I got it far. I jumped and threw the rock, however, I landed at the edge of a cliff. The cliff gave way and I jumped into the river 5 feet below. I could certainly feel the currents pushing on me. I swam as fast as I could to reach the other side. While swimming, my eyes were closed though I visioned my arms as I swam. I swam hard but I made it across. Someone on the other side wanted to race. I can remember saying something about CPU's around here (computer processors). The race was to swim to the other side of the river. Swimming wasn't my specialty, however, I was a good jumper. The race starts and I run and jump out into the river nearly 50% further than the one I was racing with. I reached the other side when the one who I was racing with was about 5 feet behind me.
Dream 11-33: A spectacular rock museum

Rocks are one of my favorite things and this dream has been repeated once before with some similarities. As the dream starts, I'm riding in a bus. The bus comes across some train tracks (3 pairs of two spaced quite closely to each other). Then, just as the bus entered this area, the warning lights came on. The bus sped through the crossing (stopping could mean the bus getting rammed by the train). Then, later on, the bus was driving through a grassy area with a lot of rather small train tracks (like 11 inches wide instead of like 40 or so (whatever the standard is in the US)). The car turns around a bend of trees in a 180 and just in front are even more of these train tracks and a 3-story house. I get out and head toward the house and enter it.
I was late for the tour and there was this wet sand that you were allowed to roll around in. In this area, you were watching TV which explained some things about rocks. Instead of watching TV, as I was jumping around a lot. Some of those in the area were covered with the wet rocks. I avoided it some. I did get covered somewhat, but that's from failed attempts at my jumping.
Next was the main tour. The tour guide said something in the way of "Because the residents aren't here any more, we can't see the babies". In the previous version of this dream, the first occurrance, there were actually babies, but the details are very vague and unclear. In new version of the dream, the first area was seemingly defying gravity as I felt light and seemed to float around. There were three lamps around the area and one main light. I found some quarters while the lamps were turning off. When it was dark, there were these E080F0-colored rocks that glowed very brightly, as if there were two candles in there. They were beautiful and very mesmerizing. The previous version is almost identical to this with the quarters, glowing rocks, and the dark lighting conditions, except that I can't recall if the gravity defying stuff was going on.
When everything returned to normal again, after fighting to keep from seemingly floating away, the tour guide was counting up some coins. He/she said something about counting $1.45. I handed him/her five of the quarters that were lying on the floor and told him/her "two seventy". I then place about another ten or so quarters to the side and say "plus extras I found. I'm a treasure hunter, but, since these are in this museum, they're not mine". I can't recall the change counting episode in the old version.
The next part of the tour was where you could take two separate paths. There were actually four different areas you could go in, I was in one of them. I looked at the tour guide and he/she was pointing toward which directions you can go. I was confused from here. I saw a sign saying "down" about 30 feet in the distance and a hole there about 5 feet square. In the previous version of the dream, there were some stairs here. In the recent version, I can't tell clearly if there were stairs there or not. The new version of the dream ended around here. In the old version, I took the stairs to another place. Though the details are very vague, I think I can recall seeing a huge collection of rocks in an area lit as if by 25-watt lightbulbs.
The old version was where I was with a group of about 5 (supposedly students). The new version I can't recall what group size I was with. The two versions are about 60 to 70% identical to each other (excluding the parts with high uncertainty (less than 33 1/3% certain)).

1. I'm in a bus and I see 6 train tracks. The train tracks are somewhat close to each other for each pair and there are three sets of train tracks to cross. When the bus reaches the first one, the warning lights come on (telling that a train was coming). The gates close and the bus barely makes it through before the gates close.
2. The bus is driving along a grassy area around a long line of trees. Around the corner is an area filled with small train tracks appearing to be a little under a foot wide. The train tracks are quite randomly laid out and they criss-cross each other a lot. In the distance is an old-looking house of a very dark brownish-gray color that is 3 stories high.
3. Inside the entrance area, I see a group watching TV of something about rocks. The area was of wet dirt and many of the tourists were covered with this stuff. While at it, I was practicing my jumping abilities (jumping like 4 feet high for example), however, I failed occasionally and ended up getting some of the wet dirt on me.
4. I'm in a room with three lamps, and three rocks said to glow. On the floor there are a lot of coins scattered around, mostly quarters. When the lights went out, the glowing rocks glowed very brightly (compared to normal glowing objects) and were mesmerizing to look at the pinkish color they were emitting. I was also feeling light headed and seemed to float around. I grabbed a wall and held on to it.
5. When brightened again, I can recall the tour guide counting change. I don't know what the first value he/she said, however, I can recall saying "two seventy" after giving some quarters, likely five. I also recall placing various other quarters on the table aside from there and speaking while doing so mentioning that I'm a treasure hunter, but since the coins were in this house, they were not likely to be mine.
6. I see a series of paths splitting like a plus sign. Straight ahead was a sign saying "down" and a dark area before the sign. Two other paths split from here going in opposite directions.
Old version:
The old version is exactly the same as the new version except (compared to the list above):
1. This didn't happen in the old version.
2. I was with a group I knew more that was also going on the tour. Included in the group was an old friend. I'm quite certain that the train tracks were there as well in the old version.
3. The TV setting basically was the same as it was with the new version, only more forgotten.
4. Exactly the same, except that I can't recall the light headedness effect.
5. I can't recall the coin-counting episode in the old version.
6. The path splitting is basically the same, except that there was more progress. In the old version, I took the "down" route which had stairs where the darkened area was. I explored around this area, but the details are very vague.
Dream 11-34: A train ride for fun

Of all the public transportation, I've been on everything except a city bus and a commercial airline (I've been in a small airplane before, but that's about it, and those usually aren't public) in some form or another. The dream is very vaguely remembered. I can recall riding a train of about 5 cars or so (almost a mere guess, but I know it was rather short). The train was riding around these tracks that were ever-so-randomly laid out (the tracks criss-crossed each other with great frequency). The area the train rode around in was about 9 square miles in a 3 by 3 section of almost entirely open space, grass along the sides, and, of course, the train and train tracks. I don't have anything else available about this dream, unfortunately.
Dream 11-35: The car club and the carnival

Though I have only two scenes recalled from this dream, this dream was a little weird. The car club I go to with my father has a "run" to this carnival that was going on. In the carnival, from the first of my recalled scenes, I can see a pink pathway (about E07090 in color), some shops (lots of clothes), and a book area in the center of the pathway about 10 feet ahead. The pathway is on a slope, about a 4:1 slope ratio (if you moved along the slope, for every 4 feet you walk, you'll gain 1 foot of elevation). Sometime later, I was venturing rather far and I saw this area with a fairly steep 5:3 slope. At the bottom of this slope, like 100 feet lower in elevation, was a gaming room filled with hundreds of electronic gaming machines (like an arcade, only far bigger than a typical arcade). There was plenty of maneuvering room. However, I can't tell what the games were of, but I believe there was a pinball machine nearby from where my recalled scene is positioned.
Dream 11-36: My home town in ruins

If you've seen destruction caused by earthquakes and by intense fires in a city, especially of buildings, you'll have a small idea on what this dream was like. My home town is fairly small, probably about 20 square miles or something. In the dream, much of the area south of the 20th avenue north road was in ruins with damage extending out to about 50th avenue north (about 2.5 miles further north). As I went away from my house to check it out, I could see all sorts of metal poking out and lots of destruction. The weird thing is that the grass and roads have been almost untouched. There are plenty of metallic scraps all over and hardly anything in the way of a building. Much south of around 40th avenue north is where you can see how the ground has seemingly collaspsed about a foot or so. Also, there's a hill somewhere that I recall playing around on and it extended like 100 or so feet above the flat surrounding land. My home town doesn't have anything like this. My home area was basically untouched: had no damage.
Dream 11-37: The garden exploration

Though I have neutral interest in gardens, I had a dream featuring a garden, a very large and expansive one. Unfortunately, the dream is vaguely remembered. Just two scenes that I can recall. The first is where I see myself jumping off of a 12-foot ledge (± 20%). Up close to the "camera" is a fountain, a rather small one (spanning maybe 6 to 8 feet in diameter). The other scene is where I'm climbing on these rocks with a hedge texture and I'm trying to get through a small gap. There's a brown wall (with the hedge texture) above and greenish on what I'm climbing around. Other than that, I can't recall anything else.
Dream 11-38: The sky train repairs and a football game

Before, it was a city that floated high above, now, it's a train moving a long high above. In this dream, while on the ground, I was watching a football game (kids playing it, not the NFL; and not soccer to those who live outside the US). At one time, the football went well out of bounds. I went after it, even though the 20 or so players were about 150 feet closer to it. I began gliding, picked up some speed, and pulled up. I then found this reddish object in the tall grass. I dropped out of my glide and picked it up and showed it to the players. They were amazed on just how fast I was.
Later on, I was on this aerial train. I was trying to help do some repairs and I had to be very careful. In one area, it was almost like, if you movd just right, you'll slip and fall. At one point, it was if I moved, I'd fall. Thus, I just stayed in one place until the problem got solved. It was rather scary at this point, being 8000 feet off the ground. The train cards were all joined together quite seemlessly, however, I can't say how many there were. 2 is all I can say....
In an unknown part of the dream (unsure where it was in the storyline (I think it's toward the end though)), I was searching for an orangish cat. I used my sense ability to sense for it and found it semiburied in hay after about a minute of being informed. It was in this small 5 by 6 foot white wooden trailer which supposedly rests on only one wheel.
Recalled scenes:
1. I'm watching a bunch of 10 to 14-year-old kids playing a game of American Football in an ordinary open field. Later on, I see the kids running off in one direction as if after something. I jump up and begin gliding. While I'm gliding, I'm looking down at the ground. I soon spot a color close to that of a typical football - a reddish brown color. I drop out of my glide (probably from around 25 to 30 mph), and pick up the football. I see the kids running toward me with amazed looks on their faces.
2. I'm on this aerial train. The floors are of a red color, or about E02000. In the center of the area, there's a seem with a hatch in the very middle. The hatch is used to attach/detach train cars. However, I had to help do some repairs on it. In this case, they had to do some link repairs - in mid-flight. The hatch was open and you could almost get sucked out from the vacuum effect. Giving some size ratios and apparent motion, I'd say the train was moving around 160 mph. At one point, I was very close to getting sucked out. If I got up, I feared I would've so I didn't until most of the repairs were done. This was the only scary part in this dream.
3. I'm inside a trailer, with white walls and a hay-covered floor. I'm sensing and soon find an orangish cat mostly buried in the hay.
Dream 11-39: The magical potions with an evil side effect

This is my longest-duration, most in tact dream on record, so long that it took 70 minutes just to write down the details on paper! It's a dream meant for a movie as it's almost movie length, thus has been moved to the stories category. You can read it here.
For a summary of the story, I take some potions I found on the table and gain special abilities from them. Slowly, strange things begin happening and I find a bunch of secret passageways. The final passageway is long and where the dream really gets intense with a battle with a live lion.
Dream 11-40: A secret area on my Canada trip route

From where I can recall, I'm cruising along the road in a car taking the same route I had during my Canada trip on Jun 20, 2005. I'm thinking about visiting someone, Solberg, who, in this dream, was a ways back. Instead of heading east as with my Canada trip, I head west. A short while later, I stop and get out. I run downhill at high speed float-running. The area was very gentle (like a 200:1 slope ratio, flatter than that even) and as I went down hill, I slowly accelerated to 207 mph before I slam on the brakes stopping a few feet short of a small stream. A short while later, everyone is with me again, as if there was a jump in time. Someone hops in the water, about 3 1/2 feet deep. I jump in afterward, but I'm over the edge as if this was a video game (the scenery looked too realistic to be a video game). I sink about 2 feet under then swim upwards again. The dream ends around here.
