Unlike the related travel dreams, these dreams involve actually exploring the area, whether it's my home town or some other area. Just being in the area going from one house to another doesn't count. These dreams are recalled quite well.

Dream 11-11: The autumn exploration

I was exploring an area around a fairly large house. There were leaves on the ground, mostly of oranges and browns. It was quite fun. I don't remember much what happened in this dream, but I can recall a few events.
At some point in the dream, buried in a huge pile of leaves, was something like a storm cellar. In fact, it was a secret passage to enter the house I was looking around. In another point in the dream, I found an entrance to the basement of the house, but it was more visible and obvious upon first glance at the area. Past these two events, I don't have much of an idea what happened in this dream.

Dream 11-12: The visitation party

This dream was very boring and wasn't all that exciting. This dream seemed longer than any of my other dreams I've had. There was a group of about 30 or so walking along a long path. I was in this group. In this dream, the only special ability used was the high-speed running ability, up to 40 mph or something. I don't recall the float-run being used nor the 90-foot jumps.
As the dream starts, as far as I can remember, I was watching a rather scary movie with the group that did like. Basically, the characters in the movie rolled a pair of dice and then something would happen afterword, only if you got a losing roll (as it seems). I would estimate that the movie would've been rated PG-13 by the way it seemed. I just left the group and looked around. Just outside the old crumbling house was a long path easily seen from its ligher brown color. There were a very few trees scattered around, but quite a bit of small pools of water. Eventually the group came out of the house then headed along the path. In the distance, I saw another very old house. I assumed that this was their target, so I took off and ran speeding up watching my mind speedometer.
I approached quite close to 40 mph and maintained it for quite some time without becoming exhausted. I then slew down to a standard walking speed about 1/3 of the way to that house and walked the rest of the way. I looked back at the group which appeared to be running toward this house. As I finally reached the house, there was an old lady on her second-floor patio looking down. She warned me to get up here. The group was very close behind and arrived at practically the same time I did. She warned us that a small quake was going to hit. Surprisingly, just three seconds later, the quake occurred.
The group and I carefully entered the house which seemed extremely defensive and immune to the effects of a quake. The house swayed around a lot, but the central part, up a flight of stairs, was seemingly 100% immune to the effects of a quake. Instead of using the stairs, I climbed up from the side ledge. The group used the stairs, but they had to be much more careful as the house was really swaying around in that area.
The quake ended soon and we were permitted to go. Further along the path, I saw another old house that looked even worse than the first house in my dream. I raced down the path at 40 mph and reached it without the group. The house was positioned just above a small stream, so, in order to cross the stream, you had to go through the house. While I waited for the slow-pokes, I looked around the area, particularly at one of the large pools of water (which was only about the area of a standard house). I went over to it, looked around, then returned to the old house I came across. The group was waiting for me.
Inside, it looked almost new, so it appeared more as if this house was under construction. There were a bunch of platforms in which I could use to stand on, however, they were very unstable and easily broken. The door to enter was sealed shut so I went in through an area where a window might go. I jumped from the window area onto one of the platforms. I remember myself saying "nice jump!" at this point. Suddenly, the platform breaks and I fall down with it. The group entered in the same way, but in a much better way. From here, the group went through the house and out the other side. Out here, there seemed to be a stair case in the path way leading down. We continued following the path. I just dashed along at my 40 mph I had stopping at another stair case which lead you up. I continued on up then looked around at the top. There were quite a few of those pools of water lying around. I went up close to a few of them while I waited for the slow group to come. They eventually came and the dream ended about a minute later during a small talk.
This dream didn't really seem all that much fun, but it was okay.

Dream 11-13: Beach-side fun

This dream was rather beautiful-looking, especially toward the end. This was a dream where a lot of exploration was involved. Though I don't remember much what happened, I can recall a few scenes. One scene that I can recall is walking along the side of a semi-steep 3-foot cliff (approx 2:3 slope ratio (if you move 2 feet horizontally, you'll go up 3 feet vertically)). It was rather weird. I went up and down this slope like crazy.
Another scene I remember is a mine-cart ride throughout a huge portion of the island this seemed to take place on. This ride lasted for quite some time and took you all over the island, but mostly along the beaches. The water was of a very brilliant crystal-like blue color.
Beyond these two scenes, I don't remember much else about this rather interesting dream.

Dream 11-14: The Canadian tornado

When you spot a tornado, you should protect yourself, but this dream didn't seem to obey that rule, even though I was despirate. This dream was also quite strange at the beginning.
On Dec 15, 2004, I had a dream in which I was on a road trip to Canada. Eventually, the vehicle I was riding in stopped at one of those border gate things. The guards let us through and we were on. First, we came across a road that was wide enough for just one car.
A sign said that you could enter this from where you were so we did. Strange as it was, there were other cars coming from the opposite direction, and a lot more compact than what would be normal. Our car had to go into the side patch of grass to prevent a collision. About five or six such cars came by, all going in the direction opposite of what we were. From here, I think, just all of a sudden, the dream blanked out and suddenly I was in a building.
This building looked somewhat simple in design with a lot of open space. There were some humans walking around in the area. At some point, I looked out the window and saw some really bad-looking weather. The clouds were very dark-looking. At some point later, I looked out the window again and saw about three tornadoes. I got up, but the humans inside the building told me to sit back down. I then told them about the tornadoes and they just told us that we're safe in here. I didn't feel safe, so I asked if there was a basement I could use. They told me where the basement was and I was allowed in there. So, carefully, taking one last look out the window, I saw another tornado that was much bigger-looking. In fact, it was actually closer.
In the basement, there was a large concrete block that resembled a stage. The basement had all sorts of goodies, mostly children's toys. I looked around to see if I could get any lower and I found where the stage ended, a drop of about 3 feet. I went here and laid to rest and wait out the storm.
From here, the dream ended. This dream is somewhat weird, especially with that one-way road thing. The tornadoes appeared to be rather close, as in less than a mile away.

Dream 11-15: Mansion of secrets

Another one of those secret passage dreams where a secret part of something is discovered and explored. I was in a mansion. This mansion had a few secret compartments. I eventually found one and saw a lot of money and goodies lying around. I didn't bother collecting them, I just looked around and explored various rooms, including a secret bedroom. I don't remember much else about this dream, however, except the usual: a few scenes from it.

Dream 11-16: Minneapolis hills

I was climbing around hills in a park in what appeared to be Minneapolis (maybe it was from someone saying that this was Minneapolis). The hills seemingly were man-made and covered with grass. They extended up about 15 to 20 feet at almost a 40° angle (close to around a 5:6 slope ratio). There were many humans playing around on these hills. This dream has been forgotten quite well to what actually happened, but all I remember is just one scene from it. An animation I remember cannot be distinguished from my mind game or the dream (meaning that the animation I remember is not certain whether it was a scene from my mind game or the actual dream itself).

Dream 11-17: The Earth building

Now for a real demonstration on what the Earth's core stuff looks like. This dream featured a building built around the Earth's interior and boy what a maze that building was! I had to eventually reach the core of the building which had a bright white ceiling. The building was of a huge maze with doors and such. The closer you got to the center of the building, the more noticable the ceiling and walls became. This image is a representation of about what I saw:
As you can see, just as you get toward the center, the whiter it becomes. This is very close to what it really looked like. To get the effects of a circle so you can see it, I made the surroundings a dark gray as to distinguish from the page background color. The difference between this image and what was in my dream is that the objects had textures instead of all one single color. You could see other variations of oranges, yellows, and reds. I like the way this building was designed. It was supposedly an office building. Though I have many scenes recalled from it, they only show the variations of the reds, oranges, and yellows. Almost every one of the recalled scenes are scenes of an office with papers everywhere.
Though I don't remember what the dream was about, all I know is that I had to find the core (the white area), get something, then exit the building. The building was a maze making it tough to figure out how to reach the core. It's an awesome representation and I almost should suggest that any building to be built that deals with Earth sciences should follow a similar design, except without being a maze.

Dream 11-18: Museum revisited

I've been in a rock museum once before where all kinds of awesome rocks were on display. This dream has been repeated once before, however, it was a bit different from the second version. The first version was when I was with a group. The group just entered the museum, which looked the same in both version of the dream. The second version just has a different beginning. The ending in both is the same, even by the scenes they are the same.
I was gliding around looking around in a completely new area. This area is a large grass land but the grass isn't all that tall, maybe about 3 inches at the most (as if it was constantly mowed). There are several trees around, often in long lines.
As I'm gliding around, I find a small shallow stream. I follow it and I eventually see a house in the distance. This house was actually a museum, a rock museum. I turn toward a direction away from it, then, when I'm about to pass by it, I make a sharp turn toward it, go down a bit toward the ground, put the brakes on, and eventually land at the entrance of the museum building, but slamming into the door at about 5 mph. I open the door and find out that this museum was one I went to before.
The owner of the museum came, who was an old-looking lady, and wondered if we met before. I told her that I was here once with a group. A short discussion began. After the short discussion, I looked around a bit at the various rocks. There were rocks of all kinds around. The first window contained dark grayish-blue rocks that were nicely formed in layers almost equidistant from each other. On the back wall, there were all kinds of posters explaining many types of rocks. I was particularly interested in the igneous rocks (lava rocks) and the sedimentary rocks.
After looking at this, I left the area, said "good bye" to the owner, jumped up several feet in the air, and glid toward a row of trees that was pretty high up on a hill. I noticed the trees and an area where the trees were shorter, so I levelled out to pick up speed the fastest and turned toward where the trees were the shortest. About once every four seconds, I pulled up for a short time (about 10° up), levelled out to pick up more speed, then repeated. When I was close to the trees going about 50 mph, I pulled up a bit steeper than I usually did and I barely made it over.

Dream 11-19: The secret work shop

A secret workshop in an existing shop may seem strange, until you get to know this weird dream. As far as I know, of what has started, I was in an old shop-like place that was completely empty. It resembled a restaurant, but no tables, no chairs, no salt and pepper shakers, the cupboards were empty, etc.. There were a few counters and the building spanned two floors. In one part of the dream, I was suddenly found to be in trouble so I tried to escape. I soon found a strange entrance to something in an area below and I entered.
Inside was a huge workshop areas with giant saws, drill bits, etc.. They were moving too, but not producing much noise. I soon started gliding around the area looking for things. This place, too, was quite empty as there was hardly anything inside but wooden walls and floors (metallic saws and drill bits if you want that detail too). I could hear my parents above me yelling trying to call me. I ignored them. I soon found my way into a shack that was outside. A man was outside this area looking around and soon looked inside to find me inside. The man got grumpy and tried to find a way to enter. I don't remember what else happened in the dream.

Dream 11-20: Exploration in a new region

This dream spans across many categories of my dreams, however, this is mostly an exploration type dream. At the beginning I was playing a video game of Bubsy. In it, there were pools of lava. The game was a 2D scroller if I recall correctly. In it, I was moving around often very close to the lava. I sometimes jumped in and watched Bubsy sink to the bottom in a slow death.
Sometime later, I was in this large lake area in which you could touch bottom in 80% of the areas of the lake. The water was a nice sea green color and it was rather warm with good sized waves. When I first entered this area, I fell from a height and splashed in. I soon saw that I was surrounded and looked for the nearest piece of land in a search. I soon swam over to an area. When I reached shore, someone told me that I was a good swimmer. I looked around got a life jacket, jumped up a few feet in the air (like 5 feet) as a running jump and glid out back into the water. I then swam my way around occasionally going under. In this dream, I was able to breathe underwater. I soon went to the exit area, dropped off the life jacket, grabbed a pencil (as if I was going to write this dream down (it was almost as if I had control on this dream)) and headed back.
I don't remember much of what happened for a little bit, but I can recall that, sometime later, my parents stopped at a restaurant and parked. It was night. What happened in this restaurant episode has been forgotten, except for the fact that I got a pizza.
At the end, the restaurant was dark, very dark. It was seemingly lit by 5-watt light bulbs. You could hardly see where you were. I was worried that there might be lava below (as from playing that game too much) so I didn't go all that fast. I soon found my way through the area and left. Unfortunately, my pizza ended up falling onto the ground and the cheese ended up on the car's tire. My parents were very slow to come and were seemingly lost.
Being highly impatient, I jumped up very high and started to glide my way back home. I was doing about 130 mph at one point. I also can recall myself saying "gliding my way home is much faster". So, indeed, I was gliding along quite well. When I came to a hill resembling the hill north of my home town, I started to slow down quite a bit. I remember speaking to someone in a car driving up the hill. At the top of the hill, I almost came to a full stop but I kept on gliding pulling up when I got too close to the ground (like a foot away). The dream ended here.
Recalled scenes:
1. I'm playing the Bubsy game. The area is dark and there's bright lava everywhere. I jump across the lava but at some point deliberately do so. I watch Bubsy curl up and die in it.
2. I'm above a lake of a sea green color. I fall into it, surface while treading water, and look around. In the background there is greenery like that of the tropical areas. The nearest land was seemingly about 150 or so feet in all directions. I was thinking "safety" things in such a situation so I swam to the nearest bit of land. When I reached land, someone on this part of the land told me that I was a good swimmer.
3. I have two life jackets on. I jump up and glide my way out over the water again and just fall into it. The area had a few other humans playing around in the wavy water.
4. I was going underwater trying to come up for air when I realized that I was breathing underwater. I soon found a high place in the water and exitted the area following the high places.
5. I'm with my parents parking in front of a restaurant. It's night so it's hard to describe details.
6. I'm inside the restaurant, which was very dark inside. We've just finished eating and ready to leave. I manage to find my way through the dark area and reach my parent's car, which was an old car (like from the 50's or something). Something happens causing my plain cheese pizza to fall to the ground. The cheese ended up on the tire so I was disappointed.
7. My parents took forever to come, so I decided to glide home instead. I jumped 90 feet into the air and started gliding to where I thought home was. I started picking up a lot of speed.
8. I'm gliding up a hill of about a 2:1 slope ratio (move 2 units horizontally, you move 1 unit vertically, not that steep of a slope). I see someone in a car going about the same speed as I was. He was fascinated on what I was able to do, but I slew down too much from going up. I make it to the top of the hill withabout 15 mph to spare. I level out to pick up speed, and pull up to regain lost height then level out to pick up the speed again. The dream ended sometime while doing this.
