Unlike the related travel dreams, these dreams involve actually exploring the area, whether it's my home town or some other area. Just being in the area going from one house to another doesn't count. These dreams are recalled quite well.

Dream 11-1: Exploration of my home town on a shopping trip

My home town is rather small at at the bottom of a rather high hill (like a valley if you will). I don't know where much of anything is in my home town, however, this dream made fun out of this searching my home town going at very high speeds. In this dream, I was to take a trip into my home town and get some stuff. This dream was a fun one, even though it occurred sometime around July of 2003. I was gliding all around my home town in every which direction getting to speeds that are just plain massive. Instead of going something like 200 mph as I haven't seen in any other dream except this one, I think there were some speeds around half the speed of sound, more around 350 to 400 mph! In thid dream I had some money to spend. I needed to get something for my mother and wanted to look around for myself. This dream featured the special abilities, especially gliding. Because, even though I've lived in my home town for well over a decade, I don't know where everything is, I spent more time searching for where the buildings were. This dream occured when I didn't have the address locating trick††† I have today. That is, I had a hard time finding where everything was. Finding home was real easy, once I finished everything. This dream also featured another ability not seen any any other dream - compressing matter by putting it "inside" your chest‡††.
Recalled scenes:
1. I'm high above the city gliding at about 150 to 200 mph. It's day and the traffic below is moderately dense. In this scene, it seems as if I'm right over the main road, which is 5 lanes (including a left turn lane).
2. I'm inside a building, but this scene is very unclear. It's probably a clothing store with a dark-colored carpet. The image is very unclear.
3. I'm having fun gliding around at massive speeds trying to pick up the biggest amount of speed I can. I eventually peak at close to half the speed of sound.

Dream 11-2: Getting left behind on a trip to Bismarck, ND

Sometimes, dreams may seem unfortunate for me, however, my special abilities save me quite often. In this dream, my family was going to take me to a city about 110 miles south of where I live. However, I got left out because I failed to do something then glid the way myself to the city they were heading to, 110 miles south of where I live. I arrived far before they did [going 800 mph most of the time instead of a puny ol' 65 or 70, which makes the 2-hour trip last about 15 minutes, [plus some time needed to accelerate to 800 mph at 5 mph per second]. In this dream, I got a bit scared when I was about to cross a mile-and-a-half-wide lake, but it was no biggie. It only takes about 7 seconds to cross it, not much to worry about. However, stopping was an issue. I just found a long straight away, got close to it, and started making puffs [dust stirred up from stopping by sliding on the ground]. I recreated this story in my mind game and the story is available here.

1. My parents leave the house without me and drive off. I'm inside the house looking out the back window watching the van leave. I'm left to figure out plans on how to get there.
2. I'm outside high above the ground starting a glide. I see a bunch of farm fields.
3. A large, very long, mile-wide lake is below which appears to be bluish in color. I'm gliding several hundred feet above the ground watching everything whizzing by faster than the speed of sound.
4. I'm can see Bismarck in the distance while trying to slow down.

Dream 11-3: The Master Minds

Being so remarkably in tact, this dream as it was written is almost entirely what happened in the dream itself. Two criminals were trying to damage my house and escape, but my special abilities save the day. It's the most direct travel-related dream I've had and it has one of the best stories of all time and so remarkably in tact. Though it's a bit scary, there were two master criminals trying to destroy my house and I went after them using my glide ability. Dream 11-4: The out-of-control car

A few cases of my dreams have a car growing a mind of it's own and I have to flee from it using my special abilities. I was lost in a large city. The city was like New York, Los Angeles, etc. as it was very large, but no idea which city I was in. As I was driving around apparently looking for something, the car somehow grew a mind of it's own. Since I could no longer control the car, I tried to get out. While stopped at a red light trapped by other traffic, I got out of the uncontrollable car and jumped up about 90 feet high. As the traffic started moving again, my "evil" car made an illegal turn [this turn is a right turn far from the right-turn lane or the right-most side of the road, in fact, the car was near the center.] and held up traffic. I followed this car around the city gliding. Though I lost it a few times, the special drawing on the top of it distinguished it from other cars. I don't remember this dream fully.

Dream 11-5: Travelling between states on log raft

This dream sparked the birth of my story writing. It features a log raft that drifts along a river and you travel between the States of the US on this log raft. It's one of my earliest recalled dreams. I was on a log raft going down river. I was on this log raft and had some supplies with me like food and the such. As this dream went on, I was travelling between states. This was the time in which I thought blue water was extremely dangerous, even touching it was dangerous. The river was fast-moving, however, it was gentle and hardly rocked the log raft. It didn't have any barrier walls so if I wasn't careful, I'd fall into the "deadly" blue water. I don't remember the exact size of the log raft, but playing this dream in my mind game, it seems to be about 5 or 6 feet wide by about 8 or so feet long. I was pretty close to the center of it almost all the time. If I remember right, I travelled through one entire state though this dream covered 3 states. The exact states covered are uncertain. This is the dream that sparked the idea for my story-writing career starting the script, "The Story of the Wonderful Adventure".

1. I'm on the log raft, which appears to be about 5 or 6 feet wide by 8 feet long made out of 5 logs going downstream. The river looked quite clean but I was very afraid to even touch the water. The river, in this scene, was about 30 feet wide. I can see quite a few trees and a lot of rocks and grass.

Dream 11-6: Icy mountain climb

Mountain climbing is attractive to me, mainly due to the high elevations. However, the icy part of it I didn't like much. I was mountain climbing on the slopes of an icy mountain. The wind was horrible and it was cold out. However, I occasionally went indoors to warm up as there were a few buildings up the slope. In one indoor area, there was a nice building with a pretty pool of water in the center. I was with a group of, I think, five others and an apparent leader making the full group (including myself) of 7 mountain climbers. In this dream, as far as I know, I didn't have those 90-foot jumps and the such.
Recalled scenes:
1. I'm on the slopes of the icy mountain climbing in snow. The slopes seemed to be a 1:2 slope ratio (move 1 horizontal, you move 2 vertical), thus rather steep. At the top, there's a building. The wind chill seemed to be around -10 so we had to be quick and careful.
2. I'm inside the building. I see a hot tub of green water which was rather small, about 3 feet around in an octagon-like shape. The building wasn't all that warm, but it allowed us to warm up. After warming up some, the mountain climb continued.
3. A bit further on, I can see a few things and the weather seemingly a bit worse. I didn't get to see what was to my side, however.

Around 2001 or so, a friend of mine took me to various places in my home region. This dream featured one of those places, only with higher mountains. I was driving around with a friend looking for mountains to climb. Indeed I found a few thousand mountains to climb around, but about 2 or so were actually climbed in this dream. My friend suggested a mountain he knew that was very high and I found an interest in it right away. The setting was in a desert-like area with plenty of mountains around.

Dream 11-8: Cactus hill horseback riding

I have been horseback riding before, however, this dream makes horseback riding seem a lot different, especially if you don't have a horse to do it with. This dream was a bit fun, but a little scary dream in which I went horseback riding through an area filled with cacti. The hills were rolling everywhere in cactus land. Later in the dream, the horse got scared of something and took off running, but, since I couldn't handle it, I tumbled to the ground with everyone else I was with. I spotted some scarecrow-like guy running away from the scene. I couldn't initiate chase as I was scared of the cacti in the region. I was forced to walk all the way back, dodging cacti, but everywhere I went, I was always attracted to the high places so I spent more time while I was up higher and when I was lower, I sped up some more so I can reach the next highest point. I did, however, manage to return to the cabin and indeed, there was a scarecrow in there trying to scare and frighten the horses. I snuck up on the scarecrow and scared him. It was just a guy in a scarecrow costume who was misbehaving a lot.
BTW, I did, actually, have a real case in which I went horseback riding and real cacti were growing in the ground (they were so small you could barely see them, but however, nothing happened to the horses and the scenery in the real case was much different from what was in the dream. This dream may have been caused from doing this in probably 2001 or whatever time it was.

1. I'm on a horse, a dark brown horse, riding with a group of, I think 3 on 3 separate horses. Suddenly, my horse gets scared and runs off. I manage to see a guy dressed in a scarecrow costume, but, since I can't hold on to the frightened horse, I fall off. I don't get injured nor stabbed by cacti. The hills are mostly plain dirt with little vegetation (it's like half desert).
2. I'm walking along the hills all alone keeping to the high areas as much as possible and dodging cacti.
3. At the horses stable, I see that same scarecrow guy scaring the horses. I get the best of him by scaring him.

Dream 11-9: School bully battle

Bullies have haunted me since like 2nd or 3rd grade, however, this dream was a lot of fun. This was a battle-related dream. Starting with bullies††‡ following me everywhere trying to get me, I used my special abilities to escape from them every time with the help of a few non-bullies. Though stairs were a major obstacle, my 90-foot jumps got rid of the stairs problem*. It was a long, endless battle to keep away from the bullies, though I did have a few close calls. For the full details on what went on, read the story I wrote, which is 82% accurate to what really happened. The story is more complete because I added some stuff to make it sound better. The idea of the story has been left alone, however.

Dream 11-10: The escape from the baddies

This dream shows me what it's like to glide over 300 mph around my home area. This was a fun, but a little scary, dream. At the beginning, I was driving a truck. Suddenly, the truck got a mind of it's own and I could not control it in any way except steering it. After a short battle with the truck, I managed to park it, turn it off and get out of it.
Home was a ways away so I glid most of the way there. I encountered a few obstacles and realized that some bad guys were after me. With a lot of gliding, I finally managed to get home. 1. I see some strange markings on the wall as if they were symbols telling of a secret area.
2. I'm going down a stair case into a mysterious basement that no one has been to in years.
3. I'm in a wide open area with brilliant golden yellow sand everywhere and some random paths with water.
4. Someone in this dream is in their room with a secret passage into a pool of slimy mud. He/she goes into the mud and does something, but don't remember. The place you go down has a ladder built into the wall and it looks very much like a well.
5. A secret passage in the main basement is found where a long channel about two miles long is. The humans in this dream go into this "channel" and get to the other side. I don't remember what was on the other side.
6. (animated) A secret passageway is found in the main basement area that leads to an area that looks like the insides of a house, a large house, with many rooms but abandoned completely. I'm in what appears to be a hallway. There are like six or so rooms. I'm walking along looking into the rooms. The rooms appear to have been abandoned for five years and a lot of wooden stuff is found. One carpet was of a blue-green color, another of a whitish color, and both looked as if they seriously needed cleaning.
7. Around the corner was even more rooms, mostly with the doors closed.
8. Around the next corner were yet more rooms.
9. One of the rooms on the third part of the hallway lead to an area with yellow sand looking like sand dunes. In the back, I saw some treasure chests with lots of coins and jewels sticking out of them. I went into this room and realized that the sand was actually quicksand but didn't deform or anything. I found this odd. I played in the high parts of the waves to bury myself more into it.
10. The next room over had a secret pathway to yet more rooms in another long hallway. This area resembled my house's basement. There was one area where water, of a blue-blue-green color (halfway between blue-green and blue), was going into an area and a door was there as well in about two feet of water.
11. Some of the other rooms featured pools that looked as if they were three feet deep. They, too, were of the blue-blue-green color.
